By far my favorite spot for teriyaki Finding makai on Uber has been a life savor! Affordable delicious island cuisine and their dole whip is to die for I love the rotating flavors since it keeps it interesting each visit

I would normally give 5 stars but this time around based on today's order is 2 stars. We still love makai but I ordered a small plate and it cost me almost 12 for 1 kalbi as protein and a scoop of rice and a side. Seemed really off. He said I ordered small so it's one piece of Kalbi and because it's kalbi he had to upcharge me. I thought an upcharge would be if I ordered another protein so i was confused. I didn't argue because this is my usual spot. My daughter was so hungry after school so she scarfed it down. It just didn't seem worth the price. If you want kalbi then go to a k bbq place. You can get a bento for 19 dollars and lots of kalbi, rice, kimchi, japchae and a couple of sides.

Last time I eat there. Terry the manager acts like a tyrant is rude to customers. I will simple go across the street to aloha now. The employees look beaten down and scared to talk to him. Major change in just the last month. I will not return. Terry needs also to understand the computer is a touch screen not a punch screen. No wonder they can't keep employees. Terry learn how to treat customers. Maybe like you don't hate them. This is the wrong path for you.

Normally the food tastes great and they pack everything nice and full. I ordered through uber eats for my lunch break on feb 18th and most my chicken was burnt. If I was at the restaurant, I would've asked for a new bowl, but I was stuck with burnt chicken. I definitely ate everything around it because I was hungry and the food IS VERY TASTY. Don't get me wrong , I've ordered many things from here and everything is good. I would just make sure the cook doesn't serve inedible food to paying customers.

5/1, 8:20pm. Ordered two choices. Chicken katsu and kalua pig. Katsu was old and inedible. Was served barely lukewarm. Kalua pig was extremely dry. This place used to be good. What happened?

Ordered delivery and got a little of everything for each person so we could taste it alll. Let me start by saying, even my picky 10 year old is devouring it. The pulehu steak and teriyaki chicken were tender and delicious beyond our expectations. In truth, I am sad I didn't get more of those two meats. The wings and pork were good too but that's how good the aforementioned trully were. You won't be disappointed!

Smelled some regular delicious barbecue walking by on my way to Crumbl and knew I needed to come back. They have such a wide variety, I had to get a medium plate to try a little bit of everything. What really stood out to me was the kimchee salad, so crunchy, refreshing, slightly spicy, absolute must try here. Secondly, the teriyaki chicken was so tender and juicy, and the spicy yaki sauce is the way to go for sure. The poke tasted fresh, nice meaty chunks and creamy sauce, perfect with the rice and slaw. The garlic edamame and Mac salad were standard, still good but nothing spectacular. I loved the variety you can get in each plate, and will be coming back!

They open at 10:30am we got there at about 10:45am on 6/11/24 Tuesday. Having just open, the place was very clean, bright welcoming. The place is modern with an attempt at Hawaiian decor. The lady with colored hair who may have been the manager was very helpful and pleasant. She helped us with the size and type of protein. Everyone was helpful pleasant and alway had a smile. We both had a small teriyaki steak bowl which included one scoop of rice and one side. I think it was $7.99 The food was tasty and well seasoned. 5 stars for this clean restaurant which served up hot fresh and tasty food all with friendly helpful staff. Well done on having good people and a clean restaurant.

Can't find anything to eat, can't find anything to eat, what to eat, what to eat....wait... what this? Located across at the back of the UNLV, on Maryland Parkway. I been to this little strip before, which also have 7-11 and I think Roberto Taco, the problem is, there is no parking, because the front is facing Maryland Parkway, side street you can forget about it as well. The only parking you can get is at the back garage, but don't get too happy yet, is only on the first level, and parking is like limited, I think each business only have like 2 parking spaces, there is signs like you here for this business, this is where you park. So here I am, for a quick quickie. Walked in, first impression, just like all Maika Hawaiian, design look exact the same, kinda boring I stood there waited, a older lady checking someone out, the younger girl is kinda wondering in her own little world. So hard to find good help now a days. Hello! You got customer! Let's go! Looking up at the menu, I think one meat option + rice + one side is $7.95, the chicken wings look good, so I decided to order only 1 meat option and side order of wings for $5 and change. The lady behind the counter, ask if I want the wing or the legs, I said wings, and...guess what? She give me 3 legs Yes, is my own fault, I should have CHECK, CHECK, CHECK! Off topic, this happens to me more then you think. KFC ordered 4 pieces combo, got home, opened the box, 3 pieces only Popeyes ordered 4 piece combo, go home, opened the box. 3 pieces only. C'mon people!! You have ONE JOB! Tried to be good at it, I know you not planning on being there forever, while you there, getting pay, please tried harder Now I always check my orders, can't trust these people anymore Okay Taste of food, it was a-okay, nothing special Checking wings I too couple of bites, I throw them all way. Won't be back

Nothing special. - Macaroni Salad - So so - Sweet Corn - good - Kimchee Slaw - Couldn't it. Didn't like at all. - price is reasonable. - They usually gice 2 scoops of rice, but you can take one additional side in place of one scoop or rice at an additional $.3. This is a good offer. Because one scoop of rice is good enough.
