I am not a golfer BUT I visited the course to stroll with my family and watch the sunset. The pool area and lounging area are clean and well maintained. Such a nice place to relax and wind down. It was busy when we visited because Force Support was hosting a family-friendly event, but it's usually quiet. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful to the guests. Overall, we had a lovely time.

This is Nellis AFB course. Jordan provided five star service at check in. She reviewed the details of our rental clubs - really nice Cleveland set. Not the usual run down mixed match clubs. The clubs came with a bag of tees and two sleeves of Srixon golf balls. Very nice. Course is very nice and greens were immaculate.

Sunrise Vista is the golf course/clubhouse on Nellis AFB. We are having an event on base soon so we came here to check out the facility as well as inquire about green fees (since the hubby's clubs have been collecting dust lately). Nice grounds and a large room with a bar area available. Outdoor patio too for weddings and private parties. We also checked into green fees and it varies by rank. Twilight hour after 12 noon is the best deal. $20 includes fees and cart for me and my hubby no limited time on course for 9 or 18 holes. Kids allowed on course:) but no clubs available for them. Lessons available by a private pro and his card is available at the Pro Shop. Snack bar all in the same building. We had a quick lunch and the hamburger's are wonderful and kids enjoyed a grilled cheese sandwich and some homemade chocolate chip cookies. TVs were playing the game and it was quiet not too many people. Ask for the Ranch dressing to dip your fries in it's really good. So check it out if you're on base.

While we can all say that Golf Course food is Golf Course food-most wouldn't be wrong. Although it's tucked away on a military installation, I would be remiss to not give them accolades. The few visits for lunch I have had with them have always delivered a positive return. As humans, we tend to stick with what we know on menus. I have ignored this and ordered something different the last few times. Each order has been met with gusto and made with love. All of the sandwiches are great. Menu is a little small but there is something on it to meet just about anyones appetite. Why 4 stars: bring back the fried pickle slices. The fried pickle spears and wierd breading are a serious downgrade.

VERY Disappointed with the golf course. Overpriced for playing on a very no frills golf course. Being a Vietnam Veteran means NOTHING to anyone on the base. I can say NOTHING good about it and will not return. Too many BETTER golf courses in the Las Vegas area and for less money.

I played golf at Sunrise Vista on Nellis AFB and had a blast. There are 3 - 9 hole courses available - Eagle, Falcon and Raptor. Lots of open space, so I didn't have to worry about hitting anyone when I was teeing off! Friendly staff and great prices. If you golf after 12 PM, you get a cart and unlimited golf for $20. The food in the snack bar is also 1st rate. While you eat, you can watch sports on several large LCD TV's. If you get a chance to play here, take it.
