I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive to every detail.

The suites are spacious, luxurious, and beautifully designed, with a touch of Venetian elegance that sets the tone for a unique stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the marble bathrooms with oversized soaking tubs were a true highlight.

The resort itself is a masterpiece. The Grand Canal Shoppes, with their stunning architecture and gondola rides, create an ambiance that feels like a trip to Venice. The variety of dining options is phenomenal—whether you’re in the mood for fine dining or a casual bite, there’s something for everyone.

The casino floor is vibrant and well-maintained, with a great selection of games. For relaxation, the pool area is like an oasis, offering plenty of space to unwind. The Canyon Ranch Spa is also a must-visit for anyone seeking a little pampering.

We stayed from Friday through Monday in mid January. Although we couldn’t use the pools because it was too cold, we enjoyed the views from the hotel/room, the size and cleanliness of the suite and the cleaners were extremely friendly and attentive. It was easy to forget you were in a hotel.
The room service was delicious and took about 30-40 min to arrive.
The cons: the casino is too smoky and I wish they had a coffeemaker or at least a kettle in the room. It was difficult to reach the self parking area because the signage was unclear and it was easy to go the wrong way.

I want to be able to say that this was a breathtaking hotel to spend a romantic getaway in. We saved up for a year to come here. I could tell you all the positive things about this hotel, but unfortunately a warning is more in order:

The Venetian North Tower is under construction. And if you’ve booked a king suite and end up on floors 26 and above, you’ll probably know it. They do construction from 9-6. We booked a luxurious suite to take the honeymoon we never got to when we married (overseas military) and didn’t get to enjoy it because the noise was so loud—the videos attached give you an idea of how we got serenaded by a jackhammer for hours every day.

You might wonder what we did to remedy this situation. We changed rooms—we moved from the 31st to the 27th floor—and we could still hear it the next day. And I don’t mean echos of it. The best part was when I went back to the front desk and asked for help again: The manager opened with, “I understand we moved you due to the construction noise—we moved you down four floors! It’s interesting—you’re the only one that can hear it.”

“You’re the only one that can hear it.” Wow. What a flagrantly accusatory way of saying “you’re a money-grubbing liar.”

I showed him the videos—the second one is from my second suite that starts with a shot of—look at that—our suite number. He didn’t even have the decency to apologize. The experience ruined our trip—one we spent over $2K for the room alone. I cannot discourage staying here enough.

Smokey Hotel and Conference center

Hotel and conference center smell like smoke. The casino permits indoor smoking and it permeates the entire resort, conference rooms, Grand Canal, room suites. Would NOT stay here again nor use conference areas.

Lost key to room on morning walk. Went to front desk, they sent me up to room, security would verify id in room. Half hour later, security let me in. Showered and went to front desk with id. Got new keys. New keys don’t work. Been waiting with maintenance for security to come up.

Resort is luxurious and well maintained (except for HVAC). Staff is professional, pleasant and well trained. My coworker ordered room service and her dinner took 2 hours to arrive ordering at 8 pm. Staffing may be an issue.

East Coaster, breakfast places not open till 6 am Las Vegas time. No coffee in rooms. Look for a resort that caters to East Coast travelers.

The convenience to the venue we were in Las Vegas for was the highlight. After that it went down hill. The room was not clean. The wine glasses were used and dirty with lipstick on one. The tables in the room had signs they had something spilled or smeared on them. The front desk person told us not to use the refrigerator, if we had anything that needed to be kept cool, to fill the ice bucket. We were also instructed not to put anything on the cabinet the refrigerator was in or we would set off an alarm, and be charged for the fridge. What!! Security was probably the nicest and most helpful in finding our way. No maps are offered. One of the security guys told us to try concierge. She was nice. The front desk also told us maps were at security and security said they’ve never had maps but helped find our way.
