What a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy an amazing meal for lunch. My boyfriend has always wanted to try this place so we went there for lunch today. The great Greek gyro was very tasty. The tzatziki was not an overwhelming flavor. I did order mine without onions as I am not a fan. It was a little disappointing that I could not get get a side of grape leaves in the combo, instead. Of fries but we ended ordering them as an appetizer. I don't think I have ever had them with lemon before but it added a nice zest to them and truly complimented the flavors. The lady that took our order was extremely nice and let brought us our meal. We hadn't even finished getting our drinks when she brought us the grape leaves. I was very shocked at that.

I've heard good things about The Great Greek Restaurant in Henderson, but my recent visit on a warm spring evening was an absolute disaster. This wasn't just a bad meal; it was an exercise in extreme, almost painful, over-salting. From the moment the food hit the table, it was clear something was wrong. My chicken was so ridiculously salty it was practically inedible. It tasted less like savory grilled poultry and more like a salt lick. And it wasn't just the chicken--it was everything. The rice? Excessively salty. It felt like someone had accidentally emptied a shaker into every dish. Every single item tasted oversold and, frankly, like a mistake. To top it all off, the chicken had a really unpleasant smell. It was just off, which, combined with the alarming salt content, made me seriously question the freshness. The accompanying lemon slice was somehow chewy, which is a feat of bad kitchen prep I didn't know was possible. This was a really, really bad experience that has guaranteed I will never be back. If you're looking for authentic Greek food that doesn't feel like a medical hazard, steer clear of this location. Your blood pressure will thank you.

Today, I was excited to have some Greek food and TGG is our go to. We dined in and was eager to try today's specials. I had the tenderloin gyro, my mother had the lamb chops. To make this quick, I didn't care for the cashier's eagerness to complete the order. With all the choices (and it being my mother's first time), I felt it was rushed with no suggestions or advocacy for your delicacies. I forgot to make mine a combo because the cashier didn't seem to have any patience, instead, she returned to texting and drinking her SB behind the register. The gyro said it was grilled steak tenderloin but it was cooked and taste more like a Philly cheesesteak. Was disappointed the meat wasn't grilled. The lamb chops were great, the only suggestion is please have steak knives. Sometimes, a butter knife doesn't "cut it". lol I will always return and stay loyal but please coach your staff to be more patient and suggestive to new guests. No one checked on us and asked how was everything. Disappointed that they didn't earn the tip they already received.

Ordering on the Toast app is easy and there are no fees! Within about 15 minutes, the order is ready for pickup. Everything is always made exactly as ordered. Food is fresh, perfect temp, and tastes filling and delicious! The steak is my favorite and I love the hummus with my pita. Side salad has crisp lettuce and veggies. Adding on a side of grape leaves is a must and they stay fresh for leftovers the next day. I tried the potatoes this time and they are a mix between a cooked potato and a giant french fry - I really enjoyed the spice sprinkled on them too. Rice pudding for dessert was a good portion and tasted flavorful. Great meal and looking forward to snacking on the leftovers tomorrow!

I love Greek food and this place is really good but whoever puts the order together is an idiot! I order Greek Rice Bowl with chicken skewer, 2 Greek Rice Bowls with shrimp skewer , and a chicken souvlaki plate at least 2-3 times a week. I'd say half of the times they forget the chicken skewer on my rice bowl!!! This is not longer acceptable!!! Why can't they pay attention!!! I'm so angry I could spit nails!! I'd recommend this place if the order was complete and I actually got the items I ordered each time.

Customer service was extremely nice and friendly. The food was really good, and the portion sizes were generous--definitely enough for two meals. The side salad was also delicious! The only down size is they use rice pilaf instead of the normal jasmine or basmati rice. I'm not a fan of pilaf so I opted for fries.

Happened to be in the area and wanted to try this place. Good thing we decided to be spontaneous, because the food was great! Hence, the name of the restaurant. We opted for a shrimp plate (~$18)and Gyro (~$9). Both were splendid. We also ordered extra tzatziki sauce because it was perfect with both meals. Drinks are self serve and they have tea and lemonade options along with regular sodas. Very convenient that they had plenty of boosters and high chairs as there were other children present along with ours. Service was fast, easy and they bring the order to your order which is convenient. Overall, we would definitely come back here!

We were having a hard time finding a place that wasn't fast food and stumbled upon this place. It was so good, we went twice! The restaurant was clean and the employees very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the skewer entree (beef tenderloin) and the meat was so tender, and packed with flavor. The entree came with a choice of rice or fries (a big amount of it too) and a side salad. The tzatziki sauce was fantastic! On our second visit, we got some gyros, and the salad wrap. I highly recommend both but my favorite was the wrap. It's big and packed with flavor. The grilled chicken was excellent! If you have a big group, try their dip sampler. Very unique and yummy! If you're from around the area or just visiting, definitely stop by for some good eats!
