We booked a mermaid and confirmed the day of the party with the receptionist and they were a no show for a 6th birthday party. I'll be doing a chargeback immediately! Terrible service!

I attended the same class as the two reviewers below. It was terrible! Everything they said is true. Tails did not fit, fins slipped off, the instructor was late, no instruction was provided, parents had to get in the water, children were not watched or supervised during the swim test, kids were crying, freezing cold pool, low cut swimsuit on the instructor. I called corporate to complain and was told we could have an additional class, but no refund. They explained that the instructor did not bring out the child side fin/tails, and that it was her first day. I took the free class option and the experience was completely different! There was a different instructor. She was all set up and ready to go when we arrived 20 minutes early. She introduced herself, explained the class structure and expectations. She got the girls fitted, and secured my daughter's tail with a hair tie to make sure it was tight. The fins provided were smaller and lighter. She got in the water with the girls and taught them how to move and kick. She helped the girls swim through a hoop, dive for treasure, and have adventures. The water was still VERY cold so my daughter sat on the side after about 20 minutes of swimming. The instructor tried to assure my daughter was still having fun by showing silly ways to stay warm in the water by moving around a lot. She also had the other girl deliver "sunken treasures" to my daughter. Aside from the cold pool, i was pleased with this second experience. If they hadn't ruined the experience for my daughter's little friend, we would probably have booked a birthday party. I would recommend they buy more small tails/fins and find a location with a warmer pool. Perhaps a therapy pool at a YMCA or something. My rating for the first lesson was a SOLID 0 My rating for the second lesson is a 4.5 (amazing instructor, tail still a little large- had to be secured with a hair tie.

Booked a children under 7 party for 10. Great experience with the mermaid however there was very little communication after booking. The municipal pool at Bonanza is an indoor pool, hot, muggy, and provides no seating to watch the children with the mermaid. I'd suggest choosing a different pool but overall worth the price and experience.

For how much money you spend, the mermaid trainer should come out in full mermaid dress and makeup. She came in a black bathing suit and didn't even have a tail. Not impressed at all.

I got a Groupon for this for my sister, will never do that again! The mermaid tail kept falling off, and the instructor was very little help. After trying several different mermaid tails, we still didn't have one that would stay on. The body of the tail were very stretched out, and they had noting that stay on. The instructor just stood on the edge of the pool, and didn't help much at all. After discovering that they had no tails that weren't stretched out or didn't have straps broken, she still wasn't offered a refund or a makeup session with decent equipment. Don't bother with this place!

This was a fantastic class! The instructor did a great job teaching the basics before the students put the tails on, and she was super patient and supportive as people figured it out. She would always jump into the water as necessary to demonstrate or assist (or out of the pool to take pictures when requested at the end!). She was at one side of the pool and there was a lifeguard at the other so it felt very safe.. All swimming levels were definitely accommodated here. There were different colors of tails to choose from and the tails were pretty and worked well. They really do have tails in a wide range of kid to grown woman sizes, so no need to be worried or self conscious about fit.

I would've given this zero stars if I could. This was such a joke . We planned this a month in advance I took the day off work to surprise our daughter and her freind to be mermaids for an hour. The website was completely deceiving saying , make sure to arrive 15 minutes prior to be fitted for the tails and that they would do activities. Neither happened nor was the pool heated . We arrived 15 minutes early no one was there we actually thought we were in the wrong place then 30 minutes later 15 minutes after the hour the instructor shows wheeling a rack of mermaid tails! We were relieved thinking I'm sure we'll get our full time ! After 15-20 minutes of fitting the tails they were all to big for our 7 year olds! We didn't give up so they got into the chilly water the tails were all falling off and heavy! We didn't feel safe so got on our swimsuits to get in with them! Needless to say the day ended in tears and my daughter cut her finger on the side of the pool! They refused refunds and apologized saying the instructor gave us adult fins ! Do not spend you money!! This class should be for 9 and ups without a doubt and isn't safe for smaller 7 year olds!!! Save your money!!!

We did a class for 7-12 years old. I was promised they would have tails to fit my 8 yr old. This was not true. It said the pool was warm. A lie. Our kids were freezing. The instructor was a half hour late. So the time we were supposed to be using to get tails fitted never happened. The instruction on how to put a tail on properly never happened. When I called to complain I was told when I spoke to the owner that this was the instructors first time. The owner told me they usually arrive at the pool 45 minutes before the class starts. No one contacted us to tell us she would be late. Another mother found out somehow that the instructor was running late. I would think if this is the girls first time doing a class you would make sure to give her support and someone there to assist her. Even the instructor said she 'didn't know what was going on!' It was unorganized unprofessional and I would not recommend this to anyone. The videos they use for advertising are false and when asked for my money back because I was so unhappy they said no. Offered another class to change my experience but my daughter and I want nothing to do with this mess again. They only had adult tails available so none fit my daughter. We followed the class with a party for 5 afterwards. Another epic fail. The instructor/ mermaid was sweet and did the best she could but we couldn't recover from the first hour of class. It was again unorganized and the instructor was just making it up as she went along. We never got pictures with the kids in tails like they offered. The instructor/mermaid was in over her head. The instructor wore a completely too low cut top for a kids party so I'M not comfortable with posting the pictures I did get without hearing distasteful comments. You can tell she received little training. It felt like she was just thrown in. I'm really disappointed with the whole experience am sad I wasted that much money. And the owner was no help and didn't seem to care that an 8 yr olds party was ruined.
