This place is definitely a unique bar in the downtown area of Las Vegas. I wanted to come here because I wanted to try out a different variety of Japanese whiskey and learn more about it. This bar specializes in a variety of whiskey but also a great selection of Japanese whiskeys. I don't know of any other location in Las Vegas that has a vast selection of Japanese whiskeys. I started off with a high ball which is a pretty standard Japanese whiskey mixed drink. I wanted to try some Japanese whiskeys that I haven't had before so I went off of the server to give me some suggestions. They offered a great variety so I went with 4 of them and they were all pretty great. With the different in taste and smoothness from each one. The display and vibe is definitely a big more high end and something you wouldn't expect in a down area. The displays alone of the different types of whiskeys in the wall is pretty cool. The location is fairly lit and offers an intimate setting. It isn't too loud where you can't have a conversation and also provides a lot of space for a decent sized party.

There's something simple about this place, but that's what makes it special and what to me, makes it authentically Japanese. Japanese. Wasn't trying to be ostentatious, just tastefully simple and elegant, and I think that's what a Japanese bar should be. They should come at the very least have the staples, Japanese beer, sake, and a good whiskey selection and Bar Ginza had all of that. My buddy and I sat at the bar and each ordered a cocktail, him a Bee's Knees and a highball for me. Each cocktail was artfully made and came out tasting delicious. You can tell this place isn't really touristy but has more of a local, you have to know about it vibe. It's not big, and it wasn't really crowded, and the bartender seemed to know a lot of the patronage. Right before we left, the head chef from the restaurant next door came in to a warm welcome. I could see myself sitting here and throwing back a few, that's for sure. I do wish it was closer to where I lived, but then I'm sure it wouldn't be what it is.

You can tell the bartenders know their craft. If you're unsure what to order, just ask -- the staff is super knowledgeable and happy to recommend something based on your preferences. There's a great selection of Japanese whiskey and sake, too, for those who want to branch out beyond the usual bar lineup. Every drink feels like it was made with care and intention.

We are absolutely phenomenal. Fine in the arts district. Cruising down the street to meet friends I saw we blacked out storefront with the words "Japanese whisky is my religion" and it called to me. In 1 million years, I never imagined that I would walk into a true Japanese style whiskey and cocktail bar, but that's exactly what I found here. The simple and natural setting allows the beauty of the bottle collection, cocktails, and spirit served here to shine. After noticing the large selection of whiskey from around the world, I was fixated on the idea of assembling a flight, and I was so pleased to see that they offer pores both in the half ounce and larger sizes so you can sample more without breaking the bank. As a connoisseur of sorts, I definitely picked out a few of my own, but happily left most of the decision-making to the bartender by providing a budget and a little background on my flavor preferences and whisky experience, and let them do the rest. Crown jewel out of the assembly had to be Chichibu red wine cask finish, followed by the single mile scotch whiskey Society pick that stayed true to form that the wild name that it was given of passion and love Friends enjoyed cocktails, and were absolutely floored by the complexity and balance. I couldn't get enough of the presentation which included thoughtful selections of course a fantastic aesthetic. It was great to learn the spot is run by partners both in business in life. One runs the bar while the other front of house, and it's fantastic to watch. I highly recommend this place and even went back the next night!

By far, one of the absolute coolest bars I have ever been to. It was so cool to see the owners actually being the ones to run it, too. This bar is located in DTLV arts district and is in good company by the bars nearby. It's definitely a spot for whiskey drinkers for sure. We were greeted by a nice woman who found us a spot for us to enjoy even tho it was busy. We found out later she was one of the owners! I wish I got her name, because she was so nice and friendly and joked around with us and even put up with my husband making dumb jokes to her haha. She was also SOOO knowledgable when we asked her questions about what we should order and she was so patient with us. My friend and coworker is a huge whiskey guy, so he was geeking out about it the entire experience. Along the walls in a glass casing, he was pointing out all the rare Japanese whiskey. I found out that it was the owners' collective collection from years and years. SO COOL! I ordered the bee's knees which had gin in it, not whiskey, and even that was delicious. My husband got the old fashioned and said it was the best old fashioned he had ever had. My friend did a an entire whiskey flight tasting. We all really enjoyed this experience here and I highly recommend stopping in. Such a great spot to grab a cocktail that is higher quality without paying a higher quality price.

Take a trip to Japan at Bar Ginza! This is one of the coolest bars in downtown. The entrance is just a very non-suspecting door, but as soon as you walk in it, transfers you into a whole new dimension where Japanese artwork and artifacts are displayed for everyone. They have three main TVs at the bar, all playing Japanese anime or kickboxing. The seating area is a small quaint 10 table space. They have a large variety of Japanese whiskeys and sake. The drink menu is well put together with an in-depth descriptions of Japanese theme drinks. I went with the bees knees and it was such a flavorful cocktail. I hope to go back soon one day.

Revisited here since we had such a great first time here at Bar Ginza. Classic cocktails are perfected in this place. Best cocktails in Vegas, sleek and Japanese vibe, and the best service from Kat and Josh. Definitely will be in the regular rotation whenever I visit Vegas.

This place is so cool! I've gone out to Arts District twice and both times, Bar Ginza was a stop for us. I am not a whiskey connoisseur or anything but it's so cool that they have ALL kinds of Japanese whiskey here. For those of US that don't want to drink straight whiskey, they also have a cocktail menu. I love that the place is so ... chill. There's not much I can really say about this place since they run on their extensive whiskey list and do not serve any food. The bartender is always very friendly and knowledgeable. He's very attentive so you are covered at the bar! I haven't been when this place is bustling yet so not sure how it is when they are busy. Definitely a chill place.. not a "let the crazy Vegas night begin" type of scene.
