Rough start. I'm a Fast Break member. When I showed up at the counter, my name wasn't on the list. After waiting in line, they told me to go to the Fast Break counter outside. I proceeded to wait outside in line. Good thing it was only 97 that day. In the end, the car turned out ok. The return was no problem. Would I rent from them again? Maybe, but I'd try somewhere else first.

Three consecutive visits I was charged for gas despite filling the tank prior to dropping off. Same happened to a coworker. Expect to be ripped off.

BE CAREFUL ABOUT BEING SCAMMED AT DROP OFF. Lots of agents, so I picked up my car fast. I got a good rate through Costco. Car was new. No issues there. But, the "full" tank of gas they gave me was not actually full. We had a busy trip, so we only drove maybe 10 miles. I was still able to fill up for 2+ gallons on return. And even worse, I was charged for gas on returning the car. I got a credit card notification, so I caught it luckily. Apparently, it's my fault for "not showing her the receipt." The one she never asked for. She just went ahead and billed me $25 extra dollars. Document gas and damage to the car. Check receipts. Just be careful with Budget at LAS airport!

Budget Car Rental is located at the Harry Reid Car Rental Center. The customer service was friendly and quick. Surprisingly, we just caught them at a lull, so there was no line. Doing the online car inspection sucks! It kept redirecting to the previous info that i already input like the car information even after scanning the barcode. I had to walk back to customer service and have them help me. They ended up using the old paper inspection form. I used Budget Car Rental quite a lot over the years.

Renting a car in Nevada can be tricky! Not because it is hard or impossible but because rental companies love to take large deposits and charge crazy fees! I try to be frugal when renting - however this was not one of those times. Instead of getting Corolla - I saw that Mercedes E class is available and opted for that. While daily rental rate with unlimited miles was not bad, additional insurance rates were awful. Apparently your insurance might cover vehicle damage but Budget could sue you for loss of business and revenue if you crash and to prevent that - they will sell you insurance at $100+ per day. Granted - their deposit taken on my credit card was minimal. As far as the vehicle goes - Mercedes E class was awesome to drive, it was a year old with 5k miles and they detailed it for me right away! I liked it so much I might buy one! Unsure I would rent it again at these rates - but it was fun....

The lines were crazy that Sunday, apparently due to a big sporting event. I would never have known that. For me, the new sports arenas in Vegas are not a draw....at all. My feeling is that more staff should be available since the event was a known one. Often times the staffing shortages are decisions made higher than the locations themselves. After 2.5 hours of waiting (not an exaggeration), the guy at the counter refused to allow my father to rent a car because my dad declined the extra coverage! My dad has coverage through his own insurance as well as his credit card (and apparently an additional 3rd insurance from AMEX which we found out later). This insurance stuff is the biggest scam. It's bad enough to hassle my dad after the long wait, but then to refuse to provide him with the car I reserved was next level insanity. It's wrong to take advantage of seniors! Fortunately, a super nice supervisor by the name of Laura then assisted and even upgraded 1 level from the original full size reservation. She was so very kind and helpful. When my dad saw a car rental insurance charge on his bill, we thought for sure the guy was trying to scam us again and I wrote to Budget. Laura then called and spoke with me, telling me it was not their charge. I felt so stupid at that point having accused Budget of the charge. But it was an easy assumption after what dad went through with the pushy guy. I apologized for our embarrassing error. I would normally give 3 stars for the lines and the bully guy, but I am rounding up to 4 because manager Laura was incredibly gracious and understanding, even after I realized our big mistake. I haven't heard from her since I messaged her last, but she did fix stuff before that, for which I'm super grateful.

Renting a vehicle in Las Vegas, Nevada... As usual, I booked a car through the website, Autoslash.com, as recommended by Dan O. I feel like I got a rreasonable price as Autoslash routed me to Priceline. I received an email that compared prices with vehicle types. I selected the vehicle that would suit our needs and disclosed the dates and times that we would pick up and drop off the car. Easy! Picking up the car wasn't bad. It was finding the car that was the challenge. We knew the stall number, but the paint is rather faded on the ground. Eventually, we got to the correct aisle, loaded the red Hyundai Kona, and drove off. Returning the vehicle was a smooth process. The female worker at the return area even fetched us a wagon for our luggage because it's a bit of a walk from the return area to the shuttle pick-up. Thank you so much for your help!

I do not recommend this Budget Car Rental location in Las Vegas. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a rental company. The workers were unfriendly, and the manager was very unprofessional -- from the time we picked up the car to when we had to return because of an incident with our rental. Everything was disorganized. Even though we paid in advance, we still had to wait over an hour and a half just to get our vehicle. When our rental car was stolen, we immediately called Budget to report it. They told us to return to the main station where we originally picked up the car. Once we got there, they were no help at all. FYI: You're not allowed to rent another vehicle from the same company after a theft incident -- they won't let you. Thankfully, Enterprise was nearby and had a car available, but we had to pay out of pocket for another rental on top of everything else we already paid Budget for. To make things worse, Budget charged us $350 for the key and kept the $500 hold on our credit card. They don't return phone calls, no one communicates properly, and the staff is completely unorganized and disrespectful. I've reported this location to the Better Business Bureau, and as of today, I still haven't received any response or follow-up from Budget. Avoid this company when visiting Las Vegas -- it's not worth the stress, time, or money

I made arrangements for a rent-a-car on line with the United app after I made flight arrangements on United also. I chose a car that would fit 5 passengers and 3 suitcases opposed to another option which fit 4 passengers and 2 suitcases. I added insurance for both the car and passengers so it added up. Doc was going to be the driver so I added her information Ie drivers license, contact information. I wasn't allowed to add payment information til I received notification to check in about a day before. The car was very roomy as a front passenger plus the added benefit of blasted AC in over 100 degree weather. It got us safely from Las Vegas to Henderson to Boulder City and back. So grateful that Doc took leave two days to drive us in the heat to a funeral service. Hubs has a torn rotator cuff so was in pain. Hopefully his surgery in a few days will remedy that.

Beware!! We rented a car from Budget for a week to visit friends in Pahrump. On day 3 I received two emails in the middle of the night that the car indicated that it was being smoked in. The first email said there would be a $75 charge, then the email that came in 5 mins later said there was a $450 charge. My husband and I do not smoke, so I figured something was wrong with the sensor or something, so I decided to deal with that email when I dropped the car off. The car was inspected when we dropped it off and I mentioned the email to the employee who stated that the car did not smell like it had been smoked in, and that this happens a lot. He directed me to the front desk to take care of it there. I go to the front desk only to be told that I will be hearing from them after they "run tests" to see if the car was smoked in. I get an email a week later that they are keeping the $450 and sent me some graph printout of when the car was supposedly smoked in, which was very late at night when we were not even in the car. This company is a total scam and I would never recommend them, nor will I ever rent from them again. I am now in the process of disputing the charge with the credit card company. Total rip off!!
