Great experience! The staff and everyone was amazingly kind and helpful! Great amenities, including gym, jacuzzi, etc! I didn't get to use the pool but next time, I will! It was busy on the weekends but I was in a huge business leadership training conference on October 3-5! So Epic! The king bed was so big & spacious! Wish my husband could've been there! The pullout couch was great for my friends who visited! They brought us new sheets and blankets, when we asked. So nice! I'll be back again! Thank you, everyone! The night team and day team!

This is one of Wyndham's timeshare properties that they also rent out nightly as a regular hotel. It is pretty close to the Strip but not one of the two big tower properties, it's a little three-story place tucked away in a quiet spot off Tropicana a little down from the MGM Grand (behind that little grouping of hotels where the OYO and HoJo and Motel 6 are). Well, normally a quiet spot. It's next to the former Tropicana casino lot and right now they're building the A's ballpark, which might be noisy and dusty for a while. I happened to stay during a holiday lull when they had totally removed the Tropicana but hadn't started the new construction yet and it was great, but that's well underway now and YMMV. Anyway, it's a nice place aside from a hard sales pitch for a timeshare (or the Wyndham "Shell Vacation Club") right after you check in. You'll have to say "no" to a bunch of "free stuff" about 10 times before you can go on your way. I thought that was tacky given you're paying for the room, I mean you go into a freebie timeshare presentation situation expecting that but not when you're actually paying rent to be there. But once that's done they don't bug you again that I'm aware of. Rooms are all suites with separate bedroom closed off by a door (though the bathroom is through the bedroom in the standard rooms) and full kitchen with pots and pans and silverware and all that provided. Coffee maker included with enough free Lavazza coffee for two or three days. Kept up nice along with the whole property, it's better than usual for Vegas hotels. Only weak point is you'll hear stomping from upstairs if you aren't on the top floor, but noise was pretty negligible otherwise. Also no kind of free breakfast, shift for yourself on that one. Kind of a weak cable package too though enough to get ya by I guess. Also has a laundry room but you have to use a credit card or app and for me it was really finicky about letting you tap the card (eventually got a washer and dryer to work but with some struggle). Area safety is OK if you want to walk to the Strip. The nearby hotels are mostly budget and "not great" but there's not really any big pull factor for bums and such otherwise down here. You're mostly just passing by the OYO which is fine as long as you're not staying in their crummy rooms. I'd keep your head up on Tropicana after dark but otherwise it's fine, very quiet and hardly anyone walking around during the day usually. There's a "back way" to the Strip along Reno from here that's quieter/less populated and takes you right near the Luxor and its tram platform that goes up to Excalibur near the NY NY entrance. There's also the obvious city bus on Tropicana, but a less obvious one with a stop right nearby on Reno that starts down by the Luxor and will take you up to the Flamingo intersection near Horseshoe and then further on up to near the Fashion Place Mall and Palace Station among points north.

I stayed at Desert Rose Resort for 3 days and 2 nights while visiting Las Vegas for one of the Cowboy Carter shows, and it was the perfect home base for the weekend. This resort is part of the Wyndham family, and as a member, I was able to score a great deal for my stay. While it's not located directly on the Strip, it's just a short walk to MGM Grand and OYO, which made it super convenient without being in the middle of the non-stop chaos. Check-in was quick and easy, and the front desk receptionist, William, was incredibly friendly. He chatted with us about our trip and our hometown (Phoenix), and gave us a warm welcome. We also received a helpful booklet full of things to do around Vegas, which was a nice touch. The room itself was a 1-bedroom suite, and it was clean, comfortable, and cozy--exactly what we needed. While we didn't get a chance to explore all the resort amenities (we were out and about most of the time), it was a peaceful place to return to each night. I'd definitely stay here again--great location, great service, and a quiet escape just off the Strip.

This is my hidden gem in Vegas. When all the hotels go to $200+ on the weekends, I move to this hotel and book with points. Honestly I kind of just want to spend a whole summer living in this hotel. The biggest drawback is it's a 15 minute walk to the strip so you're not IN it. But other than that, it's pretty nice to have a full kitchen.

Service- great guest service but they weren't able to actually do anything about the concerns we have. Basic accommodations. Absolutely nothing special or noteworthy. It is not a resort. The pictures they share are a total catfish. There is no maid service without additional fees. AC blows directly into the living area, keeps the bedroom incredibly warm. When talking to the lovely guest service and engineers they agreed it has always been a problem and it's just how the place was built. There is a vent in the bedroom ceiling just nothing comes out of it. The do offer tiny fans.....

Not a bad place if you want is a place to rest, some space to relax and close to the Strip. Comes with a refrigerator, kitchen, table and sofa and small living area. A nice bonus. It's technically walking distance from the Strip but I wouldn't recommend going back to your room late at night, daytime is ok. Highly recommend to Uber/Lyft or get a rental car. The laundry is very useful and convenient. The grounds are decent shape not fancy but will do. Staff is friendly and efficient. Important note if you are a Wyndham member this is best property to use your points... It's typically 7500 much lower than 15K for other properties 30K for Caesars Strip. Recommended for sure.

I'm an RCI member, and this was one of the worst resort experiences I've ever had. Let me start by asking--why are we paying an $89 daily cleaning fee when we're staying for a week? That's nearly $600 just for someone to come in and tidy up, which barely happened, by the way. The front desk staff? Absolutely terrible. We asked for basic things like towels and washcloths, and the woman working there acted like we were a problem. Full of attitude, unprofessional, and rude. I don't know what's going on with their customer service, but it was one of the worst welcomes I've received at any resort--ever. Then, we asked a male housekeeper for help. He clearly understood us, but suddenly said, "I don't speak English." It was obvious he did, and it honestly felt disrespectful. If you work in hospitality, at the very least, pretend to care. To top it off, the resort itself is outdated. It looks old, tired, and in desperate need of renovation. Nothing about this place feels like a vacation--it feels like a mistake. Do yourself a favor and skip Desert Rose Resort. RCI should be ashamed to have this on their list.

4.5/5 stars. Highly recommend! Took a family trip to Vegas and was looking for an affordable 2 room place. This place exceeded my expectations for the value. Had 2 rooms , 2 full bathrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen. Our family loved the stay here. There was a hiccup with the pack and play. I called ahead to arrange for the set up in the room. It was not set up upon arrival and had to call 2 times before someone brought it up. I didn't check out the other amenities offered but did see there was room to do laundry if you wanted to. The resort has 4 different buildings so finding the right one might be a little confusing. I wish the gate for the elevator was marked more obviously. Just followed the people going in and out to figure out where it was. There's plenty of parking for guests. Overall would definitely stay here again if I come back to Vegas. It's super close to the strip if you wanted to hang out there. We went to places off the strip and took less than 20 minutes to get anywhere.

Absolutely love staying here whenever I'm visiting from Los Angeles. This place is perfectly located away from the strip but still within walking distance. The staff is great here and very friendly. Another thing that's a big plus for me and very different from the hotels on the strip is that parking is free!! The pool is open from 8am to 11pm everyday!! Perfect for those late night swims. This is my 4th time staying here. This last time around I brought along some friends and they absolutely loved it!! It was their first time staying here and they had nothing but good things to say. If you're looking for a place that's very relaxing and away from all the craziness from the strip and free parking. This is the place for you. You won't be disappointed. And one thing to note is this is time share location so be careful to not get sucked into buying a timeshare unless you want to. The timeshare ppl are on the left as soon as you walk into the door so beware. Just tell them you aren't interested and they will let you be. They are friendly and understanding.
