Josephine is so sweet. Very warm and welcoming. Luis knows how to handle the kitchen, flipping each pan like a pro. They seem to make a great team, I saw how well they worked together. You can smell the food as youre walking by and it pulls you in. I even had a lady walk by and ask me what I was eating. The clay pots make the rice crispy. Delicious. The only thing I would add is that it was a little overseasoned for my taste but I tend to like my food on the less saltier side which is not for everybody. Located inside Resorts World

Since Geylang Claypot Rice is conveniently located in the resort I'm staying at, I've eaten here twice, and my partner has been here once. Between the two of us, I think we've given this place a fair shot and unfortunately, it just doesn't deliver. We've tried all three claypot rice dishes: Chicken ($19.75), Beef ($19.75), and Mushroom ($16). At those prices, you'd expect a solid meal, but we were disappointed. Having had claypot rice in Singapore, I know how amazing it can be. They're tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. This, sadly, didn't compare. The rice here, which is the main component, was too hard, overly soaked in soy sauce, and some of the vegetables, especially the mushrooms, tasted spoiled. We couldn't finish any of the three dishes.

Nothing at the Resorts World food court really caught my attention besides Geylang Claypot Rice. I love bo zai fan and I love making it at home, so naturally I had to check it out. The mixed reviews and photos weren't very promising, but sometimes you just have to take a gamble on a place despite what people say and Vegas is the place to gamble after all. Well, the people were right. It wasn't awful, but it was not exactly good either. It's definitely not a place I would recommend that's for sure. For starters, there are no claypots to be found. They get the base of the rice crunchy on what looks like cast iron woks and then cook the ingredients separately in a pan. Then they transfer it into the pan and stir everything together with sauce. The end result? A bowl of mushy soggy rice. I personally hate when my rice is mushy and soggy. It was almost like a bowl of congee. It was a bit bland so I added a splash of soy sauce which helped boost the flavors, but the mushy part of it was beyond saving. The crunchy bits were good though, but nothing about this was claypot rice at all. I ordered the beef claypot rice even though I would've preferred the chicken one since it has lap cheong in it (Chinese sausage). The reason why I didn't get the chicken claypot rice was because it has ham yu (salted fish) in it which I'm not a fan of. All of the ingredients are already premixed, so no modifications. It's disappointing because there's so much potential here for this place to be good, but their way of going about it results in a poor representation of what claypot rice is.

Located in the Food Hall at Resorts World, I was thoroughly disappointed at this place. Since I was in the food hall area, the way to place an order is through one of the kiosks. I ordered the Chicken Claypot Rice dish. Pro tip: use a kiosk where you don't have to bend over/kneel down to touch the screen. I made the rookie error of choosing a kiosk where I had to kneel down to place my order which was pretty uncomfortable. Some of the placements of the kiosks are questionable. The Chicken Claypot Rice was inedible. At least I can say I tried it, but it was overwhelmingly slathered with soy sauce. The rice was gross as it was full of crunchy remnants of old rice. The lap cheong was bad. There were no shiitake mushrooms but rather regular mushrooms. The only thing that was okay was the actual pieces of chicken that it contained. I would definitely not recommend this place.

Geylang Claypot Rice was the first meal I had on my latest trip to Las Vegas. We arrived around 7pm while working around the Las Vegas strip and arriving at Resorts World. The Famous Foods court was starting to close down, since it was the tail end of operating hours, and we had the selection of this, Steve Aoki's restaurant, Vietnamese Noodle Bar, or a Japanese Restaurant place. Out of these four venders, it appeared that Geylang was the only one that had people waiting for their order. My partner and I ended up getting two items - for myself a Chicken Claypot Rice and for him a Beef Claypot Rice. The order took a good 7-10 minutes, and albeit pricey, the quantity of food was noticeable. The chicken claypot rice was a bit too crunchy, although there appeared to be a lot more Chinese sausage than there was chicken. As others have mentioned, it seemed to be overly salty, but seemed to hit the spot. The beef claypot was the superior of the two. It had a nice running egg with it and despite being made with less ingredients, seemed to be more balanced and cooked with more precision than the chicken claypot. Thing to note is that it's more of a fusion style claypot. You don't get the actual stoneware; but instead they provide it in a bowl. All in all, it a was a good choice and a great option within the Resorts World food court.

I don't know what happened since my last visit, but the Famous Foods food court at Resorts World is all but dead. Out of a dozen supposed eateries, only about 5 are still open, even during the busy holiday season. After trying this place for a second time, I can definitely see why. I tried the mushroom claypot on my last visit so this time my family opted for 3 chicken and 1 beef. All four were God awful. The chicken claypot was so salty that it was inedible. It wasn't evenly seasoned as well, with the chicken pieces being much more heavily salted than the rice. You can see them cook these bowls somewhere else and bring them up, and I can bet you money that they just assemble the ingredients in the pot and don't even cook them in there. The beef claypot was even worse. The rice was so overcooked and mushy it was like eating porridge. My brother in law asked for a refund for his, which he received, but none of this food should have ever been served. I personally don't ask for refunds, I just choose not to ever come back. I'd be surprised if this place is still around by the end of the year. Never again.

There's not much on the menu here, but I ended up getting the beef claypot rice. As expected for Vegas on the strip, and in this area, it was very expensive, about $20 for an underwhelmingly small bowl. I was disappointed but not really surprised. Despite the value not aligning with what I paid for, the dish itself was tasty. Not $20 tasty, but pretty good if you ignore the price you paid. But I was definitely not full after eating this and bummed some food off of my friends. Would not come back here unless someone else were paying, not really worth the price.

Not bad. The flavor was there. My husband and I weren't sure what to eat at the food court at Resorts World. They are about $16-20+ bowls but it is very filling and has a lot of rice. We ordered the beef and it was decent. Service was quick and the ambiance is standard noise as it in the main food court with all the other vendors.

If you like crispy rice clay pot, this is a solid place to try on the strip. Lacks in flavor, but probably because a lot of folks cannot handle a true SEA flavor profile. Service is fast as they only have three options. This will hold you over. Ambiance is American food court meets Asian street night market.
