Dear Corporate Human Resources Department, I am writing to formally report ongoing and serious concerns regarding the conduct of several managers at the Golden Corral location on Lamb and Charleston, specifically Mr. Javier Saenz, Mr. Jason, and Ms. Sophia. Over time, I have witnessed and received multiple reports of unprofessional, unfair, and discriminatory behavior that have created a hostile work environment for many employees. Manager Javier Saenz consistently displays disrespectful and unethical conduct, including favoritism toward his family members. He assigns them more working hours, provides preferential treatment, and allows them to change or call off shifts without consequence. Meanwhile, other hardworking employees who regularly show up and request more hours are limited to only three or four days per week. It has also been reported that Mr. Saenz takes a portion of servers' tips from private parties, excluding his family members from this practice. In addition, he yells at employees and uses inappropriate language in front of customers, which creates a highly uncomfortable and unprofessional environment. Manager Jason has been made aware of these issues yet fails to take corrective action. In fact, he has been observed engaging in similar unprofessional behavior, further worsening the situation and discouraging employees from speaking up out of fear of retaliation. Furthermore, there have been numerous customer complaints regarding Manager Sophia, who is described as rude and disrespectful toward both customers and employees. She frequently raises her voice at staff members, demonstrates poor work ethics, and, like Mr. Saenz, prioritizes her own family members over other employees when assigning work schedules or duties. These behaviors have persisted for far too long and are severely affecting morale, fairness, and the quality of the workplace environment. They also reflect negatively on the Golden Corral brand and its commitment to professional conduct and equal opportunity. I respectfully request that Corporate HR conduct an immediate and thorough investigation into the conduct of these managers. If no meaningful changes or corrective actions are observed in response to this complaint, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and seek legal counsel to ensure that employees' rights and workplace fairness are upheld. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I trust that Corporate HR will take the necessary steps to protect all employees from continued mistreatment and discrimination.

For what it is they do a killer job. Steak All You Can Eat! Lots of other choices, many sides, a lot of desserts. We've gotten really good service here. (Remember to leave a tip if they take good care of you, bring cash.)

I first visited this location at the grand opening back in December of 2013, the line was outside the door lol. I've visited this restaurant a few times lately. The food is good especially their omelettes. The service is good, and the ambiance is always busy.

I've been here a few times, the food is hit or miss but the price is a good deal for a buffet. The fried chicken sometimes is ok, other times it's dripping from grease and has a bad taste. The salad bar is always good as well as the desserts. There usually are steaks freshly cooked and other meats being cut and these have always been good. It's not a gourmet place but you get what you pay for and like I said it's not a bad deal.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. My parents and my grandparents LOVE this place and to this day I will never understand why. There's nothing wrong with the food. It's this location. The manager Nubia or whatever her name is, is a nightmare. She is incapable of delivering information in a professional manner. It's like attitude and anger got together and gave birth to this human being. Today, my family wanted to pay with gift cards but the system that processes gift cards was down. The cashier told my family this and then disappears to get the nightmare Nubia. She comes back and says with major attitude that the system is down. Everyone is confused at this point because they were already told that the system was down. The last time they went there to eat, my mom happened to see a corporate manager on site and stopped him to chit chat. The minute he walks away, the nightmare Nubia or whatever walks up to my mom and sternly asks her what she was saying to the corporate guy and to never talk to him again. To talk to her. (My mom isn't an employee.) And at some other recent visit, the nightmare Nubia was scolding an employee in front of the entire restaurant. Want to know what for? Apparently the employee forgot to take a customers receipt and write what drinks they requested. OMG... really? I work for a large corporation and the last time a manager did something like that, the employee sued and the manager was let go. I really wish my parents and grandparents would go to a different location but they live 5 minutes away from this one. My family will be calling the corporate office in the morning to make formal complaints but I just wanted everyone here to be aware that they could be verbally harassed or degraded by Nubia if they have any sort of concerns or complaints.

It was an interesting experience. They were busy, which was to be expected right after church time. Our server was a bit hectic. She was asking us questions while tending to other tables around us, so we never really could tell who she was talking to, but she did keep our table clear of plates. Also, we paid $4 and change for the 32oz cups, but she kept bringing the refills in the small cups. It kind of defeated the whole purpose of paying the extra for the bigger cups. The food overall was about as fine as it can be from a Golden Corral, but we ran across multiple pieces of chicken that were undercooked. The steak I got was cooked very inconsistently. I didn't get the chance to say how I wanted mine cooked, the man working the grill just held it out and put it on my plate as I came up. These two pieces of meat in the photo are from the same steak. One part is nearly rare, and the other is about medium well. The feel of the place was a bit tense, but I think that can be attributed to there just being so many hungry people there all at once in a very crowded restaurant.

his place was crap first thing they made my child feel bad I've had too tell her it's okay to be tall the heffer laughed when I told her my child age and wanted to charge her as an adult my aunt was a senior citizen I didn't get charged that price neither ! It took forever for the waitress to come and even give us our drinks! My table was nasty with hair on it. No, I did not notice it at first, but I noticed it within my food after wondering where did the hair came from ! But over all crappy service hair on tables yeah not again

I wish the Golden Corrals within Southern CA were just as good as it is here. Plate #1. Ayce grocery deli-like fried chicken has gotten my attention, 7.5/10. The pulled pork was tender, juicy & smoky, 9/10! The beans were creamy and seasoned, 8/10. Plate #2. Much needed salad to go with all the proteins and fried food. Typical, but fresh, 7/10 rating. Plate #3. Bacon was surprisingly thick at a budget buffet, 7.5/10. The baked fish was the standout, 8/10 rating. The pot roast was tender and decently seasoned, 7.5/10. The fried fish, sausage, scrambled eggs, and fried okra were ok, 7/10. Plate #4. The chips were fine, but the nacho cheese was watered-down, 5/10. The bourbon chicken was tender, savory & slightly sweet, 8.5/10. The bbq chicken was tender, and the sauce has a subtle sweetness, 7.5/10. Plate #5. The bread pudding was sweet and satisfying, 8/10. The banana pudding was creamy and needed some firm or crunchy texture from the bread, 6/10. Both the chocolate dipped rice crispy and cookie were sweet and crispy, 8/10. The fudge was ok, as the flavor was a little off with perhaps the addition of corn syrup, 7/10. Bonus plate #6. I've added bacon to the cheeseburger at brunch. Surprisingly tender & juicy patty, 8/10 rating. Service was fine, as the staff seemed happy to be there. Our used plates were collected quickly, the food was fresh and refilled, and the restaurant was clean. Don't go here expecting gourmet food, but instead enjoy the basic comfort food that they serve with no frills.

This is Golden Corral- if you're going here for fine dining, you're very much in for a rude awakening! However, if you like a good salad bar and some decent buffet food for less than $20, this is the place for you! I love their salad bar. Honestly, any place in town with a good salad bar will be at least the same amount, and here you also get to try other items. I like their mashed potatoes and fried chicken, as well as their nachos. The dessert table is also a great value. The restaurant is usually crowded, loud, and busy, but again this is exactly what you're signing up for and I don't mind it for a solo date where I pop in my headphones and have a few plates of salad. You get what you pay for but it's a great value and they have fresh ingredients and keep everything full and ready.
