Came to Town Square to meet my son for lunch. We were craving ramen; there wasn't any, but a new spot called Gung Chae had just opened. Instead of burning time hunting a backup, we walked in and took the gamble. This is a true family-run Korean shop--the kind where you see the grandmas running the kitchen, not a corporate "K-inspired" concept. I ordered the Galbitang (갈비탕): three giant short-rib bones, the kind that belong in a Flintstones episode, braised long enough to fall apart with chopsticks. Clean broth, home-cooked energy, zero shortcuts.

We ordered a combo that included the LA short ribs and tofu soup with rice. The short ribs were tender, but the meat quality wasn't the best, and the sauce was a bit overpowering--too sweet and overly saucy, which made the dish feel a little soggy. The kimbap was okay, though the chicken inside was on the dry side. The vegetable tofu soup was decent but nothing special; I've had better versions elsewhere in Vegas. On the bright side, service was great, and the ambience was nice and relaxed with plenty of seating. Overall, it's an okay spot if you're craving Korean food, but I'd probably explore other options next time.

We spent a week in S. Korea for a family member's wedding and I had the most amazing time. I knew I wasn't going to get that food back home though and I miss it. If you're someone who's also been to Korea and miss the food... COME TO THIS PLACE!!! We've been to a lot of places here in the city and this place was the most Authentic on this side of the world. I don't think we'll ever eat anywhere else when we come to Town Square (they also have another location in Centennial Hills!!)

Amazing and absolute perfection! Gung Chae it's the spot each and every time. While wandering around through Town Square we noticed this restaurant. And to my surprise, I am already familiar with it. How "outstanding," is that ? Let's go in ! Having been to the Henderson location, their was no surprises or doubt of any kind . They have the same menu as the other location. They have the same type of staff as their other location as well . Now that we have established that this restaurant is exciting let's order . They make ordering easy for those that are not familiar enough with the food. They have numbers to point too! Are you looking for something that is vegan or vegetarian this is the best option that is available for my appetite. The food is filling and will not put empty calories after being consumed. It's all exceptional energy food . Mmmm can you taste the joy. They offer protein options too that can be enjoyed too. Now that we have food to go and enjoy. It's time to eat and get along with our next adventure.

Overall this was a pretty good Korean dining experience. The location at Town Square is very convenient if you want to shop or catch a movie after dining. The interior has a clean and simple decor with a contemporary flair. We tried several of the highball cocktails which had lovely fruity flavors, and each had a cool illuminated coaster underneath which gave the drinks a unique glow. We had the kimchi pancake which was decent but was quite thick and therefore lacked the light and crispy texture we prefer. I had the beef bibimbap which was tasty with fresh vegetables but did not even include an egg which I have come to expect with bibimbap. We also had the LA Kalbi which was piping hot and quite good with a lighter marinade. Assorted sides were provided and refilled on demand, and overall the service was friendly and attentive. Overall this was a pretty good dining experience!

Great place to have pretty solid Korean food especially in a shopping/retail area and you're in the mood specifically for some tasty umami Asian cuisine. We ordered from the lunch menu during a weekday - pretty quiet and service was efficient. Loved my kimchi stew and hubby enjoyed his soondubu. Kalbi could be improved - the taste was not very good, it was served lukewarm, and the meat was chewy and tough. But, everything else was clearly and solidly 4-5 stars. I'd return but probably just avoid ordering the kalbi.

Great spot for a group dinner near the strip. Service was fast and friendly. The portions are huge! My beef kalguksu was flavorful and had a generous amount of beef and noodles -- definitely at least 2 meals. I also liked how crispy the kimchi pancake was! Seating inside was plentiful and we had no trouble getting a table for 7 at 7:30 on a Wednesday.
