I love hertz- I will never rent from someone else. I have status and I love being able to go in, pick my car and leave. Prices can be high if you don't book far enough in advance but I also factor in the waiting time I have experienced at other vendors. All YMMV tbh. Always friendly employees and haven't gotten a bad car yet. Thanks!

I selected a Mazda 3 as part of the Hawaiian package, but it wasn't flagged as a Gold rental, and I tried without success to get it flagged as Gold as I spent an interminable amount of time obtaining a car from the service desk the last time I was in Las Vegas. After attempts with Hertz and Expedia, I gave up and had Expedia cancel the car and I booked a car via the Hertz website, which cost me an additional $200. Upon arrival on Aug. 29, I caught the rental car shuttle from Terminal 1 to the Rental Car Center on Gillespie. I took the escalator up to the 2nd level, bypassing the line of people waiting to be served, and found my name listed on the Gold board. Yes! I proceeded to select a Toyota Camry and headed for the exit. This is where the problems began ... the gate attendant stated I wasn't a Gold member and directed me back to the Gold Center. After standing in a long line of customers, the agent that helped me couldn't understand, she said I was Gold. I told her to tell the gate attendant ... She gave me a rental form and that got me out of the lot. I began to experience issues with the car (which showed 61K miles on the odometer) on day two ... It was running very rough until it warmed up. On day three, the car threw two errors: a check engine - see dealer, and a malfunction of the braking system - see dealer. I drove the car back to Hertz and exchanged it for a Nissan Altima. Luckily, the second car performed fine for the remainder of the rental period. My two nitpicks ... the practice of picking a car and driving off without paperwork failed in my case. I can't fault Hertz for the malfunctioning car ... that happens. What I take exception to is being charged a fee to transfer from a broken car to a working one. My favorite rental car company has let me down on the past two rentals. Why am I paying a premium for less than premium service? I must be stupid.

Worst car rental experience I've had. I had a reservation and they ran out of the car type I wanted and pushed me to getting another one I didn't want. I said give me a downgraded car and they wouldn't. I left and was having problems right away at the gas station, so I had to go back and switch to another car. This one was fine but the whole ordeal took over an hour out of my schedule and they didn't let me choose one in the first place. I saw another couple having problems at the service center too. This location is near many other car rental companies in a massive building with hundreds of cars. I would go to another place over this hertz location. I have had dozens of car rentals for work and personal use over the years.

Wow! All the QR codes giving you the option to "check-in online to avoid the line". Did that. Even received a message "success! Skip the line and go straight to the counter for your rental agreement and assigned vehicle" Walked up to the Main Counter and the snotty lady who talks was too fast swiftly shooed us away and says we still have to get in the line. I showed her the "success" message and instructions. She said, " Did you receive a number? It should have sent you a link to your number." We opened our email which had no new emails from Hertz, so again she waved us away to the line. About 25 people waiting in it. Of course, 8 stations to check people in, but only ONE person working one of them. Just one (said in Angelia Johnson voice from her nail salon skit.) Hertz. Do better.

The staff here are terrible. They clearly don't care because they know people need cars and business will come no matter what. From the manager down to the every gold desk staff have RBFs. Every single person was unhelpful and rude. If your card doesn't swipe, they immediately blame your card instead of checking their kiosk or trying another station. They have zero understanding of customer service--no smiles, no effort, just a lineup of bad attitudes. They're AWFUL HUMAN BEINGS. Visit on 10/15/25. I wish the company vetted their employees better.

A lot of times our name isn't listed on the BOARD, even though the dude is a Gold Card member. But LV got it right, there was the dude's name, and just a few steps to our car. It was a beautiful blue, keys inside, didn't have to complain to anyone, just get in, drive up to the gate, then drive off. Just a few minutes to the Strip. So easy! Vegas baby!

No cars available. Long line waiting for any car to show up and you're forced to take whatever they bring you. There are two cars in the lot and both don't have keys. Manager is just standing there doing nothing and not once did he apologize for no cars being available. I pay extra for presidents circle which typically would give me a nicer car but this time I had an old, uncomfortable, small, stinky, and very dirty car. Hertz is a disaster. Stay away from this rental company in Vegas. Very disappointed and this is not okay. Waisted a lot of my time and hated the old and not up to par car I was forced to take.

Hertz Gold counter is a joke! The customer service is terrible and the representatives, especially the guy named Octavio is rude, disrespectful, overtalks and does not listen to understand and resolve issues. I was the only customer in the office and he couldn't be bothered to assist in assigning a vehicle, he advised me to go stand in line downstairs, despite the app telling me to skip the line. Also, I forgot my garage door opener in the vehicle, called repeatedly with 15 misogyny leaving the place, They never answered the phone at all. I got back to the location 40 minutes after drop off and the vehicle had already been cleaned, my opener was no where to be found.

Instead of booking directly with Hertz we went through Hotwire to save some money on this vacation. Some slow slug customers who ask way too many questions will make waiting in line kind of long. The service was quick once we got to an agent at the counter. If you are in a hurry I highly recommend getting the Hertz Gold service by signing up on their website.

I purchased the Premium Roadside Assistance and then was charged another $295 when I used it for a flat tire. horrible.
