Honestly one of the better tteokbokkis I've had in the states. Tastes and texturally like one of the tteokbokki stands in Korea, but for $30 in a food court is kinda... :| Soondae tteokbokki (5/5)

Hongdae Jopok Topokki makes good Korean food! You'll find them located inside H Market Eatery Food Hall, next to H Mart. There's ample parking at the plaza. Inside is a casual atmosphere with plenty of seating and good music playing pop trends. The food hall has seven eatery selections. I chose Topokki because they offer spam musubi and kimbap which are excellent go-to choices for snacks. Around lunch, the food court is extremely packed and busy. I ordered Hankang Jopok Ramen ($9.99) with additional toppings for egg (+$1.50), fish cakes (+$1.50), and mozzarella cheese (+$3.99). Stephanie took care of my order, she is very kind, courteous, and friendly. She gave me a ticket number, and there's a screen that will show the number and will make a sound notifying when the food is ready. Apparently, instead of melted mozzarella, it was American cheese on ramen and that's not what I order. Stephanie even saw it was the wrong cheese. The owner mentioned that adding American cheese to ramen is a popular and common practice in Korea, so its unusual to add mozzarella. I stood there patiently waiting for the correct cheese topping. When it was kindly handed to me in a cup, I poured the shredded mozzarella into the hot ramen bowl and it melted instantly within seconds, so that was good. Hankang Jopok Ramen is flavorful! It's very delicious with soft boiled egg and melted mozzarella cheese. The cheese itself melts beautifully, creating a lovely and rich creaminess to the mild broth while complementing the chewy noodles, it's super yummy, I love it! I did noticed the fish cakes were missing in the ramen and they were genuinely apologetic, made a new batch, and even delivered to my table which I appreciate! I also had Mini Kimbap (4 pieces, $10.99), which is very tasty and quite good! It has crabmeat, cucumber, carrots, veggie root, and yellow pickled radish. Service from Stephanie and Hannah is exceptional and outstanding! They're so nice, welcoming, personable, and polite. I really appreciate the attentive service, and they were very accommodating.

Great place to dine in with lots of tables & chairs inside this good court area. Hankang Jopok Ramen & Red Bean Shaved Ice Beverage Dessert. Ok, not too bad, but the ramen was definitely more plain than expected for just under $10 each. Very casual street foods. Not cheap eating here for cheap snacks. Ramen can use more ingredients or vegetables in it. Nothing special or fancy. Dessert beverage wasn't too sweet and tasted like grinded oats and red beans. Interesting drink. It's really your average Korean snacks here. Cashier was organized. Wait for order number to be announced on the screen above. All food stalls inside the HMart food hall have its own screen which shows your order number when ready. Return your own trays to the food stall you got it from. We came here for the vibes and to check out what's delicious over here. At least the staffs are Korean and foods are authentic in taste. Topokki can be an option if you're not too hungry when you arrive. You can always get the rice cake appetizers or kimbaps here.

This was my first time at Jopok Topokki in the H-Mart food court, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. We ordered the Rose Topokki, and for nearly $20, I expected a lot more. The sauce was thin and watery, and the portion size was honestly embarrassing for the price. It felt like a ripoff. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless they either increase the portion size or lower the price to better match what you're getting.

My son and I stopped by the H Mart Eatery to grab a quick bite. I love Tteokbokki, so I stopped at Hongdae for the Rabokki (hopefully I spelled that righ?). I was a bit lost at first, but it took my son to catch on to this consistent "ding" noise. To realize it's for customers to look up at the restaurant you ordered from to know your order is ready. My Rabooki, was absolutely delicious just the right amount of spicy. However, the lady who helped me was super nice telling me if i didn't finish i would just have leftovers for later. So of course I got really full and asked for a to go container. The Eatery had plenty of seating and we got lucky this past Saturday to get a small table. We for sure will be back again!

It was terrible for me. Topokki was watery and lacked balance of flavor. The fish cake soup was also plain and flavorless. The portions for both were laughable considering the prices. To make matters worse, they did a clumsy job of packaging my takeout order, and half the fish cake soup ended up spilling into the plastic bag in my way home. It was a complete waste of time and money for me.

I just ordered a rose toppoki here first time and disappointed. For the price, i can get a 5x better than what they offer. It looks below average.
