I've been several times to La Mojarra Loca Grill on S. Maryland Pkwy and they've been pretty consistent when it comes to the foods I usually order. This place on Maryland Pkwy is always super busy, Always a wait time, "A party atmosphere". Everyone I've ever encountered here are always nice. Sometimes you get a hit or miss in language barrier if you don't know Spanish, but usually there is always someone who speaks and understands English. I finally ended up going to another location on N. Rancho Dr. which is much closer to the area I live in. I knew about this place before, but was unsure because the other location was always consistent. Well I was pleasantly surprised! Even though it was smaller than Maryland Pkwy. There was no wait time at 5:30 - 6pm on a Friday. (Although it got really busy around 7:30pm) It was pretty mellow as well. Everyone was nice and professional. Still had the usual birthday celebrations with songs. It wasn't the fast paced party vibes you get in Maryland Pkwy and that was just great with me on this day. I needed a slower easy mellow vibe. The foods were exactly the same as Maryland Pkwy. I got the "Camarones Zarandeados" grilled shrimp with this amazing marinade which is full of flavor. Another amazing flavor and full of spice is the "Mejillones a La Mojarra" these mussels are so good! These are my 2 all time favorite plates to order. Both places are exactly the same in flavors, all very delicious and satisfying. I also order their "Queso Birria Tacos" another great plate, full of moist shredded beef with all its accompaniments. All 3 plates were definitely enough for the two of us along with their margarita specials during the Friday night we went on. So now I know, I don't have to guess on which locations to go to. My vibes will decide, lol. A must try on either locations! Respectfully.

We came to La Mojarra Loca Grill in Las Vegas to celebrate my friend's bachelorette, and it was such a great time! We were seated as soon as we walked in, which was a nice surprise considering how busy it was. The vibe was lively and festive -- the mariachi band kept the energy going. The seafood was fresh and flavorful, and the drinks were excellent, perfectly mixed and strong enough to keep the celebration going. Service was friendly and upbeat, and everyone made us feel welcome.My friend is vegan and they were accommodating to altering a few ingredients. If you're looking for a fun spot with great food, music, and atmosphere to celebrate something special, this is the place to be. We'll definitely be back next trip!

The staff was nice and friendly checked on us often, the chips and salsa with beans on the side was great nice hint of spicy. But the main dish the mojarra Azteca it says for 2 but it really could feed 4 it was amazing! The restaurant was nicely decorated and kept very clean plenty of seating luckily we got there before the lunch rush.

The North Rancho Drive Location of La Mojarra Loca Grill is an Authentic Style Mexican Seafood Restaurant and Bar in the North/West Area of Vegas. It is very decorated inside with bar seating, tables, and booths. It is also energetic with LOUD Mexican Music filling the air. Short Story - Not perfect but REASONABLY GOOD Mexican Food and service. Extra generous servings and reasonable prices. Longer Story - For the first time in my life I found the menu extra hard to read so bring reading glasses if you have them. Whatever you order they start you off with complimentary chips and spicy salsa. We started out by trying Margaritas. They run sweet and fruity and don't taste strong but they do build up and turn out to be strong. I tried the garlic style fish plate. My waiter said that it was very good choice and said that one is always good. He was right no problems here. The fish was cooked nicely and was in a tasty sauce with garlic that also was prepared well and didn't taste too garlicky and was cut with citrus. I got rice and asked for mixed vegetables instead of beans. The vegetables were fresh and well prepared. The plate also had a salad garnish and tortillas were on the side. For me (and most humans) this also was an extra generous portion and might be two meals for most mortals. My husband tried the Molcajete Triol (chicken, beef, shrimp). It was a bubbling hot cauldron over flowing with all kinds of goodies (hot peppers, cactus, beef, shrimp, chicken, and a sort of spicy sauce) Tonight the chicken was one that was amazing. It was tender like butter and was infused with delicious flavors. My husband said that the shrimp were on the tough side and the beef tasted good but was chewy. This also came with hot tortillas. This was also extra generous in size. Even my husband who eats enormous portions had leftovers to bring home. Not perfect but reasonably good Mexican Food & Service with reasonable prices and generous servings.

We always come here with the family. I love the inside decor and the setups it's very open and doesn't feel overcrowded even at their busiest. This last time I went I ordered the molcajete marinero which was phenomenal. The seafood was delicious and the salsa it had was very flavorful with a little spice. They served it with rice, beans and tortillas. The rice and beans were good but the molcajete was the star. We always order a ceviche or aguachile. This time we order the seafood tower and as always it was very tasty. One of my favorite is always the pulpo sarandeado which is tender and delicious. Will always come back for the food. The service is ok, when they're very busy it does take a while for servers to come around but that's understandable. Their menu is large and almost all of it is delicious.

We visited La Mojarra Loca Grill when it first opened and had a great experience, so we were excited to return. Unfortunately, our recent visit, on the day before Father's Day, was much busier than expected. We waited about 25 minutes for a table, which felt much longer with hungry children. To their credit, the restaurant had plenty of staff on hand to manage the crowd. The atmosphere was lively, though the music was quite loud and on a noticeable loop--we heard the same song more than once during our meal. Previously, we really enjoyed their ceviche and appreciated the complimentary chips and salsa. This time, we decided to try the Trio Molcajete. The flavor was good, but I wouldn't order it again. It was a bit inconvenient having to pull out and cut the meat myself. I think it would be better if the meat came pre-sliced. Also, the shrimp ended up overcooked from the heat, making them quite chewy. I believe we also ordered the Botana Playa Del Carmen, which included crab, mussels, scallops, shrimp, clams, potatoes, and corn--all smothered in a thick garlic sauce. It felt more like a seafood boil served on a plate, and while flavorful, it was messy and more effort than I prefer during a meal. The children had a Carne Asada plate, which they shared. Again, we had to cut and divide the meat ourselves. We also had to ask for tortillas and wait a bit. And once the food arrived, our server was hard to find, but the manager was attentive and helped out when we needed something, like the tortillas and water. For the price, we left full and even had leftovers, definitely worth the money. Overall, we'd probably return to try different menu items, but definitely on a less busy day. La Mojarra Loca still has a lot of potential, it just wasn't the best day for us.

I ordered shrimp ceviche, I specifically asked for cooked shrimp and not chile, they sent raw shrimp ceviche and with chile , I also ordered shrimp empanadas but they didn't send any sauce with it and I ordered extra habanero sauce but none of this was in my order . I called the restaurant and they couldn't help me even tho he admitted they messed up my order . I had to order food from a different restaurant after waiting for an hour to receive my food . :( So disappointed, I used to eat there almost every week . Not anymore .

Would not return! Ordered a dish that came with salsa that comes in a cute dish shaped as a fish. When we were done eating one of the female servers asked us if we would like to get everything boxed. She took the food and the cute fish shaped dish as well, a couple min after our waitor Roberto accused us of STEALING the dish because he didnt see it on table! Like what! Bruh could have asked first instead of immediately accusing!
