This location is always very clean and welcoming. I usually mobile order and it always ready. I get the small bowl with chicken terriaki and two scoops of Mac. The manager is ways very helpful, he's there every time I visit. I tried the mango dole whip yesterday and it was sooo good!

Only had 30 minutes for break. Really wanted some Makai Grill. Didn't have time to download a whole app while I'm driving. Kept calling but it's obvious the phone lines are disconnected, all I wanted was a tiny little portion of teriyaki but when I got there only one person was taking orders so I had to drive all the way back. Just wish I could've placed an order somehow.

When searching for this place, you might get confused. It's a Dunkin Donuts drive-thru merged with Makai Island Grill. This Hawaiian fast food joint serves custom ordered bowls to your liking. Kinda like ordering a Subway sandwich or a Chipotle bowl. I got the medium sized bowl with two toppings: regular ahi tuna poke and mayo ahi tuna poke. I included brown and white rice, salad and kimchi slaw. Unfortunately, they don't mix everything together for you, because that's the way I like it. Everything tasted good together. Not bad for a quick, healthy fast food lunch.

Stopped by on my way back from my corporate office to my office. I'd pass by here several times and finally gave it a try. I just wanted something quick. I usually go to the other locations. All the workers were Friendly. I had the one item. Kalua Pig, Rice and a side which I chose Corn. I wanted the kimchi. Unfortunately, the kalua was dry and lacked flavor. I added soy sauce when I got to my office. I'd still return despite my experience with the kalua.

Maki's has really great food -- everything I've tried has been delicious and full of flavor. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the quality is consistent every time I go. It's definitely one of my favorite spots when I'm in the mood for something satisfying. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven't already!

I went here to go have lunch, and like most people, I wanted to use the restroom to wash my hands. The restroom door was locked. I went to go ask for the key and the employee proceeded to inform me that he doesn't have the keys and I could use the restroom next door at the Dunkin' Donuts. I went next door and informed them that the Makai employee said that I could use the restroom here because of the no keys situation; as if the Dunkin Donuts employees knew that Makai customers were going to be coming over to use the restroom. The first thing out of the Dunkin Donuts employee's mouth was, "Are you going to be making a purchase?" And I understand her perspective, in order to use the restroom you have to buy something from them. My frustration came from the Makai employee making it seem like the employees at the establishment next door were willing to let people use the restroom, but that wasn't the case. I say all that to say this, why wasn't there any keys to the restroom so the Makai customers could wash their hand or relieve themselves? I informed the Makai employee that the establishment was in public health code violation for not having access to the restroom for the public. He told me that he left the keys to the restroom at home and they wouldn't have another key to the restroom until 2pm. When my coworker came back outside, he said someone locked the restroom key in the restroom. Which one was it? Did the employee leave the restroom key at home, or did someone lock the restroom key in the restroom? Either way, why are you taking a restroom key home and why don't you have a spare key available? Please, make it make sense!!! What's crazy is they are still serving food to customers before I came in and after I left, without having public access to the restroom in their establishment.

I don't write reviews but this was too bad to ignore. Management failed when the staff is this unprofessional. They never picked up the to go order so they started the order when I got there 20minutes later. That's not the issue. It's the lack of hospitality once it was completed. The food was dropped off like a doggy bag of poop and walked away. No service whatsoever. I'm not expected much, maybe an acknowledgement of some kind. They need some training in customer service for this place to survive because the food isn't enough.

We bought food here, not bad but disappointed when I see people's working have long nails and not wearing gloves. I remembered when I work in restaurants the policy no jewelry no long nails or polish and no hair down must ponytail or put it up.
