So what to say about this hidden gem... the food is just straight up good. The ambience is open, bright, and... well... there's a rainbow running right through the middle of the place.. so what's not to love. And the service as friendly as that rainbow, even to a faulty Spanish-speaker such as me. Like I said... the food ... the food reminds me of what the mom of my friend, SN, used to cook for me in her cocina while I was taking an interest in his sister, and simultaneously feigning an interest in his video games. The portions here are big enough to keep a whole fleet of truck drivers happy. In fact, the last time I visited, I had the Asada Fries, and only finished about 1/4 of them (and I'm a big guy with a big appetite)... so bring your friends when you come, or you'll be taking most of what you order home. And do come... because these folks live up to their "Best Mexican Food in Town... 5 years in a row" billing. This is a gem that's worth digging out beyond the glitz & glitter of the Las Vegas Strip. Bus Route 103... SB Decatur after Vegas, and NB Decatur after Westmoreland (across from the golf course, and next to the Beauty Supply Warehouse). Hint: If you're "not really that hungry" have the 3 Tacos Weekday Special, then you'll be really not hungry at all for a long while, and for not all that much cash out of your pocket at all.

I come every 2 weeks for red enchiladas a la carte. My ticket #was 85. I waited over 20 minutes. When I got the cashier's attention, she said a few more minutes. She handed me a bag of food. I got home, and they gave me green sauce instead of red. Too spicy for me. I called them and she told me too bad there was nothing she could do. The register is a computer, she could have refunded me, gave me a raincheck, said sorry......."nope, it's too bad I can't do nothing for you"

Horrible service the cashier at was rude and was trying to overcharge me for the refills 3 dollars each drink witch is ridiculous I've been to the other Pepe's tacos on Fremont and they don't charge like that

tried the food and was not a fan of there combo plates. Supposedly best mexican stop, but beans where dry and rice had no flavor as well as none of my burritos where available or rolled tacos. What is a mexican shop without a surf n turf or a burrito a la diabla.

We're a couple of Hispanics who recently moved to vegas, and we had trouble finding food that really fit the bill for good Mexican. Once we found Pepe's, that bit of homesickness we cured. The food is delicious, albeit a bit expensive, but we've also brought our families here when they've come to visit, and they also love it! The staff and food are great. Nothing to complain about for us. The ambiance really did help us to loose that sense of yearning we had for food back home. We're always comfortable as soon as we step in the doors.

The food is very good, but check your receipts. I was overcharged on both a burrito and Taco special. The burrito was 12.99 on the menu and the taco special was 11.99 Monday through Thursday that comes with a drink. I was charged 1499 for both my taco and burrito on top of 399 for a drink. I thought came with the tacos. The food is good, but make sure to check your receipt so you're not overcharged like I am. I didn't check until I got home so it was too late. two star raiting because I don't like being overcharged

Literally waited 35 minutes in line just because the cashier decided to count the money as I was already in line, Than I ordered and I literally asked for carne asada fries and waited 35 minutes for them at 1230 midnight with no one around. Then 3 other people ordered after me and they got their food before me to include another person who asked for asada fries. Literally the worse. Have seen the decline of this place for the longest.

They would not allow me to pay extra for one lengua taco with the three taco special. I had to buy an extra taco to get the meat I wanted. When I got home the additional lengua taco I paid for was not in the bag.
