The absolute worst airline out there!! Pittsburgh to Tampa.. Tampa to Las Vegas, and Las Vegas to Santa Ana . This was our flight out for a vacation and we visit with a son . Bags went to Atlantic City somehow.??? Three days later, we got our bags ! It took forever for them to find them. We were lied to by two people saying they were in different airports. !! we bought the insurance so we will find out what their plan is, but we will never fly spirit ever again!

I loved Spirit I traveled LAS-SJC-LAS I flew 60 times a year day trips and always in a Big Comfy Seat with elbow room. My seat out of Vegas was 2F and my return from SJC was 2A I enjoyed the flight attendants that were on the regular legs and it was always nice to see familiar faces. I will miss Spirit and now I cringe just thinking about that now I'm officially stuck with Southwest. SARDINES

Somehow someone hacked my account, changed the email and password and so now I cannot log into my account on the app or website. But I am still getting promotion emails sent to the correct email! But the wrong email, according to the representative, is associated with the account and that is why I cannot login. How did someone hack it? My cards aren't up there so no one bought a ticket. The representative on the phone couldn't fix the issue or explain to me how my email was changed on the account, without my knowledge, told me I had to use the Chat to get the email changed and the chat says it's a 20 minute wait. Finally spoke with someone after 40 min via the chat who then has referred me to someone else who then had to refer me to a different department via just for that department to email back telling me to "hit forgot password" smh as if I didn't do that already and clearly the rep didn't explain to this department that the issue is fraud not forgetting a password. This issue I have here is time wasted.

I don't know why I hear so many complaints about this airline. They were ready to go on time. The doors to load closed when advertised. We took off on time. We arrived at our destination earlier than projected. The attendants are professional and courteous! We upgraded to the big comfy seats, so worth it! It's like their first class! Complimentary beverages and great quality snacks. The seats are two wide so lots of room and plenty of leg room, and they Are Comfortable. Will definitely book Spirit again. Great Services and a better price than the competition!!

Worst experience ever! Extremely Unprofessional and Unfair Treatment I had a very unpleasant experience with Spirit Airlines on my recent flight. At the gate, I was carrying two very small bags, each about the size of a hand. The staff insisted that I could only bring one. To comply, I immediately emptied one bag, folded it flat, and held it under my arm since I was already holding a large water bottle in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. However, one of the gate agents, an Asian staff member, spoke to me in a very rude and accusatory tone, claiming I was "hiding" the bag and even threatened me by asking if I "still wanted to fly." I did not use any bad language, and I remained calm, but I was shocked and humiliated by the way I was treated. What made the situation worse was that I clearly saw other passengers boarding with more than one bag, but they were not stopped or threatened in the same way. The enforcement of the baggage policy was extremely inconsistent and unfair. I understand Spirit has strict baggage rules, but nothing justifies staff using an unprofessional, disrespectful, and threatening attitude toward a paying customer. This experience left me feeling discriminated against and deeply dissatisfied with Spirit Airlines. I hope the company takes this matter seriously and improves both staff training and customer service.

I took a flight to LasVegas on October 27th. My luggage was damaged and I filed a claim. My claim was verified within 2 hours of my arrival. Their corporate office denied my claim and told me I didn't filed in the time frame of 4 hours although they sent me the file I'd number 2 hours after they confirmed they got it. I went back to the airport and was told they contacted them. Before I got back home I was informed it was denied again because of the time frame. Their customer service leaves something to be desired.

This airline deserves 0 stars. Only giving one because I have to. To start, I booked online and they do not make it easily known that they charge for CARRY-ONS. That's right, you heard me, CARRY-ON bags. I checked in online, and (and for my return flight, knowing what I know now, I paid scrutinizing attention, and the only way that you would know about the charge for your carry on is if you click on the baggage policy. It does ask you to pre-pay for bags, but does not explicitly mention a price carry-on bags). So, for my first flight, when I checked in and it asked me to prepay for bags, I assumed checked bags, as I have never in my life had to pay for a carry-on bag!!! My son and I boarded our departing flight in Sacramento and it wasn't until we walked up to the gate and saw the huge sign saying carry-on bags were not free that I looked into it. At this point, it wouldn't allow me to pay online, and I had to pay for them at the gate. I WAS CHARGED ONE HUNDRED AND NINTEY-EIGHT DOLLARS FOR TWO CARRY-ON BAGS!!!!! I asked out of curiosity what it would have been if I pre-paid-- $54 -- which is about the price you pay for a checked bag on any other airline!!!! And the price keeps going up the closer you get the your departure time. What a joke! Secondly, when we were leaving Vegas, my son and I were sitting at the gate next to our departing gate, as ours had no seats. He was playing a game and asked me to play with him, I was not paying very close attention, because I looked down at my phone and it was 10:32am (our flight was scheduled to leave at 10:45), my son and I shot up and ran to the gate and tried to get on. The lady looked at us and very coldly said, "You're too late. We are done boarding. The doors are closed." I looked at my watch, which showed10:33am and shocked, I said "seriously?! It's 10:33!" "Yep! Seriously!" "I didn't hear you call for last call or call our names!" "We called! We announced it! An agent will be here shortly to re-book your flights." Having been at the airport for extended periods over the last few days, I have heard so many flights announcing last call for boarding and even announcing passengers names to alert them that it is their last call to board, I heard no such calls for our flight, even though the worker swears they did. They indefinitely did not announce mine or my son's name, as that would have caught my attention even if a meteor had hit me. Lastly, my re-booked flight was delayed several times, and then arrived and was available for boarding sooner than the time it had been delayed to. I did not receive any emails or texts regarding flight changes. I had to go up and ask an attendant each time. Very poor communication. Very poor customer service. Very poor transparency with baggage charges. Very poor airline altogether.

F$CK spirit air I went on spirit air, but it was delayed for two hours once we got onto the plane was chilling like so cold as Antarctica and I almost got hypothermia even when we started boarding the ground crew kept on throwing our bags and suitcases into the plane one of the passengers suitcase blew up, and the clothes went everywhere, but the ground crew did not care Also the plane was a 737-200 it was like 32 years old and I haven't been for maintenance also the flight attendants were so mean right behind me was a crying baby. He cried at midnight and I couldn't sleep. Also, the light was on so I couldn't even sleep too. Also, the flight was very long so I got hallucination of people getting killed and monsters on board and also I was talking to the hospital after the plane landed, I didn't know that spirit air could almost kill you by hallucinations.

I have flown spirit multiple times in the last year, once in a regular seat, a few times in the "go comfy" seat and a few times in the "go big" seat at the front of the plane. If you are flying on a budget, Spirit is for you. You can get a seat for a fairly cheap rate. Will it be a great seat? Not likely. Will it get you where you want to go? Absolutely. Every person I encountered, from the agents at check-in, to the gate crew to the flight crew were fantastic. They helped me, answered my questions, made me laugh and took care of me. People will complain about being "nickel and dimed", but this is true for every airline. All I know is that I can get a ticket for a big front seat which includes wi-fi, a checked bag, a carry-on and a personal item for far less than I can get a seat in economy on other airlines--and I'd have to pay extra for that checked bag and wifi. Spirit may not be the sexiest of the airlines, but it gets the job done and in a way that makes it more accessible to more people.
