Attended the seminar. Looked legit at first glance, but peeling back the clever layers, the entire outfit is a scam: from the fake "British" accent of the travel associates to the idea that VOA will do more than simply going to Travelocity or similar websites. Absolute rip off.

Dear Scammer (aka Vacation Ownership Advisor), you've crossed the wrong person. To anyone following this page or considering going to a presentation in exchange for "free gifts" please save yourself a headache and don't go! Sometimes you can get something for nothing, but not always. in this case you will see its not true. I've been to a few travel presentation in my day but have NEVER left with fake gifts. Maybe the travel gift had time or other restrictions, but at least it was real. They don't even pretend to have integrity behind their gifts in exchange for your time. Look closer at the gift they give, their name, logo or any traces of personal identifiable info is found on the handouts. If they really wanted you to know their products and have your gift, they would have stood by it by providing this information.

We attended their presentation today in a hotel conference room in Vero Beach, FL in response to an invitation requesting feedback on our traveling experience. We were not asked for feedback on anything. Instead, we received a presentation on how to buy a "license" to allegedly save money if we gave them $12,000.00. We did not sign up. I can't say it is a scam, but... How does it go? If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Or If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck... You pick the one you prefer. My recommendation is: Don't waste your time or gas money.

I was unknowingly signed into a 1 year contract with VOA then got sent to a collecting agency for nonpayment. When I called to inquiry I was told that in an agreement that I signed with Spartan Vacations there was a clause stating that I there Would be an automatic charge by VOA, this was something that I was unaware of and this was not brought to my attention it was buried in the pages of the contract. When signing I was wary but then assured that if I did not want to renew after 1 year I could simply not renew the $399.00 payment For Spartan Vacations. VOA never sent me an explanation, request for payment, membership renewal notice, they simply sent me to a collection agency. When I called I was told that this was in the contract and they will not cancel until I pay $500. I was told that they are no longer associated with Spartan Vacations (the club that I sign on with). I asked why I was not notified of the change and allowed to cancel since VOA is not who I signed up with, I was told that it was in the contract and I should have read the entire contract. I find it very deceptive that I was not notified of the change in the contract relationship and an upcoming renewal, I did not put my credit card on file for automatic renewals, I did not receive a notice or bill for payment, VOA just sent me to a collection agency and will not let me cancel this membership that I never wanted. Very deceptive.

just saw the presentation. much like a timeshare. didn't buy. They did the typical approach. The guy couldn't close the so he invited over the manager and the manager offered several cuts and we still didn't buy. He looked at us like I can't believe you're not buying. I did tell them I'm fairly savvy on the Internet and we usually find deals before we travel. And the they offer are not really worth much. You have to join a club and then they give you something free or stuff like that so not a fan.
