This place is dam awesome!!! Everyone knows everybody in this place!!! Everyone behind a counter is so cool!!! This place is well-lit up a bunch of big screens. Everywhere, no matter where you sit, this is the go to place.

This location was our last stop before heading back to LA, learnt about it through locals online. And they were damn right about it- so many great deals, cheap and delicious food. We got: - Steak and Eggs $11: steak was wonderful, i called medium and it came out perfect. Potatoes bites lightly seasoned stir fry w bell peppers and onion pieces, the sourdough toast is the second star of the show- crispy and buttery. 9.5/10 - Shepherds Pie comes/ w a chili side $13 ( thursday only special): chili was hot and fresh and delish with cheesy cheese melt, pie is baked to perfection with tomatoish seasoning/ sauce base which i love, their mass potato top is cherry on top. The ground beef is seasoned and mix in the sauce so good. 9.5/10 - Club Sandwich w fries $13: big sandwich portion and crispy fries, light and fresh. We dip the fries in the pies sauce and it was heavenly! 9/10 Generous portion lots of food for very cheap price but didnt sacrifice the quality. Our server was great and attentive. The bar area was chill and lightly dimmed. Parking are plentiful. Of course we'll come back again next time when we drive up!

Love Village Pub! We started making a weekend tradition to come for breakfast on Sundays. I tried the Country Benedict which is halved biscuits with sausage, two eggs cooked how you want and country gravy, it was so good and filling! We also got the two eggs, bacon, and toast, both came with home style potatoes. The food is delicious, the serving sizes are perfect and the prices are amazing! They also have $3.50 mimosas and bloody Mary's on weekends, so good. I recently tried the French onion soup and it is a must try!! So flavorful with a good amount of onions, loved the baked cheese on top. Will be back again Sunday to try more of the lunch menu items!

First time at this location... very nice design... intimate, yet warm. Cozy and open simultaneously. Met some friends here who love Jess... I have to agree; she's outstanding! Wonderfully attentive, engaging and loquacious... she's a vibe all herself! Besides winning in the first machine I sat on, the food was consistently amazing as is at any other VP... chefs kiss I will return for more fun & games... but definitely for more good vibes!

As a bartender myself I appreciate & respect when bartenders shake hands and introduce themselves. It's rare nowadays to be acknowledged unless you hit a jackpot or play/cash out a substantial amount! I was more than impressed by Dolly & her service! I will be back! Also the tacos were amazing!

Terrible Experience at Village Pub - South Decatur I've been a longtime customer of Ellis Island and frequently visit their Village Pub locations, but this was by far the worst experience I've had. I usually stick to the locations I know, but I decided to try the Village Pub on South Decatur--big mistake. From the moment I walked in, the place didn't feel welcoming or inviting at all. I should have just turned around and left right then. The food was awful. My salad looked old and withered, and to make it worse, it was drenched in ranch dressing. It was completely unappetizing. The chicken fried chicken was a disaster. I specifically asked for it well done, but instead, they drowned it in an absurd amount of gravy--it was ridiculous. And the steak fries were so overloaded with salt that it honestly felt like they were ruining the meal on purpose. On top of that, the service was the worst I've ever had at a Village Pub. It was almost as if they didn't care at all. I've spent a lot of money at their locations over the years, always tipping well and returning regularly, but after this experience, I will never come back to this location. If management doesn't step in and fix these issues, they're going to keep losing loyal customers.

Always can depend on the village pub to have great food ( salads, pot pie, fish&chips, steak and eggs)! Service is usual great sometimes a bit slow when they are the only one working all the tables. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a consistently good meal at fair prices!
