We go here many time over the summer months. We have camped here around 15 times in the last two years and enjoy it everytime. They are a newer campground so there isn't shade trees they are growing but it's going to be a few years! This year they did lay tar and gravel on top so be prepared to have rock and tar in your camper. The bathhouses are clean and well stocked and warm water works in the showers. The beach is great option to go cool down when your outside you also can rent stuff to go out on the water as well. Last time we rented a paddle boat they run 10 bucks per 30 mins. The park is great for families as well as gatherings! We also bought the KOA rewards card as well since we go as frequently as we do!

I reserved a tent site here and I was the only person tent camping that night. They placed me in the back of park with an out of order facility house. I wasn't able to use the shower, bathroom or laundry without having to traverse to the opposite side park each time to do so. I brought this up to management and asked for a refund, but she kept on bringing up irrelevant things that had no bearing on the situation like, I should have reserved an rv spot even though I didn't have an rv( the rv's on that side of the park had the same issue, but probably had toilets in their campers ) or I should have booked a tent site at the front of the park since I'm clairvoyant and should know instinctively that the back of the park was out of order. Bottom line is this park has no accountability, they won't admit to mistakes. This park is also impossible to navigate after dark since many of the site numbers aren't visible, often pointed in the opposite direction of travel. Simply put, you didn't offer a service I couldn't have gotten from a free rest stop, you've only provided frustration . Give me my money back.

Campground is on a hill so 90% of pull thru sites are angled. The picnic tables lean and grassy area around the campground are on an incline so it's awkward sitting around the fire. There are zero trees so if it's hot be prepared for no shade. The swim pond was full of green algae except a small swim area but still wouldn't want to swim there. The sewer hookup is higher than the camper slab so sewer hoses will go uphill instead down. Not really a "resort" since there's nothing besides a playground and algae covered pond.

When making our reservations for our two week stay it was important that we had Internet as my wife needed to work from our RV. I was told that the WiFi was just upgraded that spring. That was good to hear because two years prior the WiFi was absolutely horrid at best. We get all set up and later that day she turns on her laptop and no service. I did a speed test and it was consistently at 1mb. 1mb are you kidding me??? I reached out to Amy (manager) twice and she ignores me. I ran into Steve (manager and Amy's husband) he tells me it's just our area from some reason. The rest of the park is 700-800mb. Well that sucks for us I guess but it'll get fixed in a day or two at most I'm thinking. The next morning I decided to do speed checks everywhere in the park. You'll never guess the results......yup the entire park was in the single digits. I reached out to Amy again and she ignores me. I almost forgot to mention that the grass is typically 6-8 inches long. I'd never stay here again.

Nice campground, large sites. NO pool! No shade. They put us in one of the sites that was furthest from the bathhouse - it was a LONG walk! Don't know why since there were plenty of closer sites available. Only 3 showers on each side for a campground this size seems like poor planning. And the shower heads/nozzles are terrible - gets everything wet, including the dressing area. Nice dog park. Beach area looked nice, but the pond did not look suitable to swim in. A lot of green scum all along the edges.

Stellar KOA. Best one I have ever stayed at. Great location off Hwy 20 in Waterloo Iowa. Clean, sites are large and level. Gas station, dump station, propane, air, etc... They have thought of everything.

Stayed here second week in November this was the third time and it will be the last! This was after the high-volume camping season is over and should have been deep cleaned I paid $159 for one night upon entering the cabin there were cigarette butts on the floor baseboards and walls were splashed with filth, mice droppings in vents air conditioner ceiling fans in top of appliances were not cleaned, I fly smashed on the wall by the sink, urine around the base of the toilet & urine and hair in holder of plunger, the door was so dirty I did not want to touch it, a big glob of long black hair in my bed, dried milk on the railing of the stairs, looked like a kid had wiped the mirrors off, dead bugs in all the windows, and the floor was filthy

Really nice park! I honestly wish we could have stayed longer. The beach looked really clean, had a really great playground, and water activities! They had these three wheeled water tricycles things that looked fun! Fully stocked store which was very convenient. The campsite was roomy and easy to use hookups. Camp ground was very quiet and if we are ever coming they that way we will be back!

Stopped through for a quick overnight stay while headed south and was very disappointed in this KOA. We could barely get our electrical hooked up without stepping in one of the 15+ dog craps all over our site. (The entire grounds surrounding the site were covered as well.) While hooking up the water, we realized it wasn't turned on yet for the season. This was never mentioned on the website or by staff when arriving. When I called the desk, they just said you can come get free water in the store. Well...that doesn't help someone clean dishes or take a shower! If I would have known this ahead of time, I would have filled my fresh tank prior to arrival. Overall, I would avoid this place unless it is summer and you are headed to the water park. Waste of money!
