Machetes Killer quesadillas, Is located at the outdoor lake mead swap meet it's a bit overwhelming as there's 15 taco shops. These are handmade tortillas made with a mix of mazorca (corn base) and a dash of flour tortillas which are so large they have to be cut in half. The Taco chronicles could actually do a whole series about this place? They were good 4 star due to wait and quality of meat. Price for the 1 quesadilla was approximately $14.

Sad to post this review, but after the HORRENDOUS food I was served yesterday I cant support this spot anymore. First tried this place at tacos and tamales, the machetes were delicious, but they were also so busy so the food was all very fresh. i have been to their restaurant a few times, usually on the weekend and the machetes were good and their tacos were also surprisingly fire, dare i say top 10 in my life fire. So yesterday me and the hubby went to go get some machetes and some tacos. First of all they gave me Al pastor machete when I ordered Birria, so that was super disappointing, but whatever i can live with it, until i take a bite and the al pastor is dry and greasy and hard, super salty and gross. So im like alright let me just eat my tacos, when i took of the foil to see my tacos, i was goddamn flabbergasted with what they served me, the carne asada was so greasy, dry, hard and old as hell. I KNOW they gave me some carne asada that was old af and has been sitting there all day, it was a Tuesday and it was slow, i took the food home and fed it to my dog and even felt bad giving it to my dog because it was that bad. im sad to write this review cos this food is good when its good, good when its fresh, but that is not the case w this restaurant. They have been inconsistent as hell. i was charged 3.25 for a 12oz bottle of water that was ridiculous. They lady that took my order was not rude but she was not nice either. i also suspect she made our food bad/wrong on purpose maybe because we didnt leave a big tip, $3 is what we tipped on a $42 bill. but this was also a "togo" order (we ate outside) The setting in the restaurant is a little odd, they have tables right next to the bathroom which isnt really ideal, or cleanly lol

The machetes are soooo good here and the portions are great. I always recommend this place to everyone, especially those that maybe aren't too familiar with mexican food. My go-to is the machete de tinga de pollo. Their salsas are also really tasty. My only critique is that I believe they started adding water to their sour cream to make it last longer? Last time I went it looked like complete water but other than that its great!

This place sold me black old corns for my kids and agreed to return my money the following business day. Now they have the nerve to tell me I have to use my money on their nasty store credit and only on the days a certain employee is there smh. Service sucks food sucks ! I ordered the tinga machete and it was so good. The Machetes are huge! Couldn't even finish half of it. You can really taste the chipotle in the tinga. Tortillas taste freshly made and are the perfect thickness. I would definitely go back.
