# Wow Billiard & Bar – Pool Hall and Bar in Concord, NH

Ratty and tattered, but the best place to be when in Concord. Local; authentic; full of area natives; distinct ambiances across two different levels; and a wide assortment of rare craft beers, largely from the greater area. My sole complaints are that some of the beers are a bit pricey; other games should perhaps be incorporated; and that it may be to the customers' interest for the seating and interior to be a little less grungy.

"Wow" is not quite the informal exclamation I would use to describe this place. "Gee whizz" seems more appropriate... Maybe "Erm"? I'm really not sure. What I am sure of, though, is that "Billiard & Bar" are excellent words to describe this place. Tryna escape your depressing 9 to 5 and go shoot some pool? Boom, 8 pool tables (All green) Tryna escape your depressing 9 to 5 even more and drink some alcoholic beverages to hide the pain of your sad sorry life? Boom, full bar (Not all green) There's even a few things in here that aren't even mentioned in the name. For example, there are two brand new arcade basketball games that look so cool and fun! If you're not a paraplegic, you'll probably get a kick out of these. And speaking of paraplegics, my Great Uncle fought in WW2 and lost every single one of his 5 limbs. He probably wouldn't enjoy these arcade basketball games any more than he does his life. So if you aren't my Great Uncle, then you gotta try them. Now if you're looking to escape your sad boring life through means other than liquor and beer, well you're in luck! This place comes fully equipped with one of those arcade punching bag games that rate how hard you hit it. And what better way to get all your anger and frustrations of your boring everyday life out than to punch something as hard as humanly possible. And the best part is, there's no legal consequences because it's not a person! This place should be called: "Erm, Billiard Bar Arcade Escape! (Anger issues welcome, Great Uncles not)" Will definitely be coming back here since I do have all my limbs! (Sorry Great Uncle Ronnie)

Good news for the young & roisterous hapless enough to have settled down in Concord; as a result of Wow Chicken's alley-jumping vinecreep up Pleasant onto Main, Concord's nightlife rating has been kicked up from a "Comatose" to the (relatively) elevated "Vegetative." Conveniently located across the way from Penuche's, to which we'd been relegated thanks to Tandy's tawdry tendency to shutter way shy of midnight on Mondays, Wow warmly welcomed us three refugees as the Concord Clock Tower struck 12. For their inaugural week, pool was on the house, but we settled on air hockey, at least initially. A few drinks and jammed fingers later, however, it was determined billiards'd be more benign. Pool-wise, there's tons of tables and plenty of room to maneuver round wayward cues while you wander towards the bitty bar nestled in the back. I think there'll be another one downstairs once the cozy lower level is fleshed out (proprietor gave us a sneak peek). And considering Concord's population is barely pushing five figures, I think it'll be plenty of space, sufficient to serve our little village for decades to come. Did I mention it's open until ONE?! Because involuntary curfews bum me out so bad, I feel morally obligated to plug this plucky pool hall. So come whack some billiard balls with me at Wow Billiard & Bar!

The only true pool in the area so they've got that going for them. $7/hr for a table isn't too bad either. One gets the feeling it's mostly ball-bangers who play here, which is fine. Some small upgrades though, and this could be a really nice joint. Balls need to be replaced because the ones they have in there now are cheap and look like they're about 15 years old. Triangles are very flimsy as well which makes it difficult to achieve a tight rack on the balls. Tables also need to be re-felted. There are also beams that impede play on seemingly every table. Not sure what can be done as they are obviously load-bearing but it is obnoxious to not have fool range of motion at a table in an actual pool hall. Overall, this place won't blow you away if you're a serious pool player, but I'm glad it's here and will continue to play here unless a nicer hall opens in the Concord area

I usually don't take the time for reviews like this. My friends and I had been walking the main strip of concord today and saw this place and thought it would be a good time. We walked in and were instantly hesitant. The place was repulsive, it had stains all over the carpets, TVs and trash and even backstock of beer left under the pool tables. When we approached the counter the bar tender was fairly rude to my friend about his drink choice after he didn't have a certain beer and my friend chose a different kind. When I asked for a beer I studdered the brewery name and the bartender studdered back and laughed in my face and then made a snarky comment when I picked another drink. We still got a round of pool which was cheap. When I went to the bathroom it was disgusting, with water all over the ground and a open Tupperware container of fantastic on the floor to try to cover the smell. While we played pool I watched the bartender smoke his vape multiple times behind the bar which is for sure a health code violation, someone working out back also came out to make himself a drink and go drink it in the kitchen. This place is disgustingly dirty, the staff was rude, and we didn't even want to finish our game of pool. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, no wonder why it seemed like a dead cover up business. if you want a place to go out and have a staff member be unprofessional, lazy, and rude, feel free to enjoy!

To start this place walking in is an absolute, and I mean absolute horror show. The carpet looks just as bad as the service was. I have never met someone so bitter and rude towards patrons. The bartender continued to make comments about our friend with autism which made him incredibly uncomfortable. while we decided to continue and see if this was his way of humor I decided to order a Diet Coke for $3!!! I couldn't even muster the courage to drink it never mind taking a sip for fear of getting sick. This was due to the bartenders horrible hygiene along with the stained carpets dirty classes and uncleaned Equiptment. Everything in this place was covered in grime. Ontop of this our friends decided to use pool tables away from the bar not to deal with the bartender. who continued to harass and also attempt to charge another hourly fee for returning the que balls 1 min after we purchased our hour. Along with this the bathrooms looked like something out of a horror scene. To sum it all up I truly don't know how this place is allowed to operate and I regret giving an hour of my life to this disgusting excuse of a business.
