I wish I could remember who told me about this place so I can thank them. It's a small restaurant with bright colors, attentive servers, and delicious food. The chips and salsa are definitely a must. Their hot sauce has flavor and heat.

Stopped at La Cita on a recent trip to Cherry Hill. Excellent authentic Mexican food. Well made in house chips & sauce. We had large chicken burrito & red snapper. So good. Nicely decorated Authentic music. Excellent service.

This is a small quaint BYOB authentic Mexican restaurant in Cherry Hill. I was able to a table for two for a walk in. It looked like they did a lot of take out orders/Uber Eats. I ordered sweet plantains and Elote as an appetizer. My lady ordered fish tacos, she specifically loved the shrimp version. I ordered Al pastor and I forgot the other name. Both equally good and tasty. Great prices, and great service. Parking isn't the best because it fills up. PS, their free chip and salsa is an added bonus. They pour a nice brown bean sauce over the freshly made chips.

Stopped into La Cita for lunch on a long road trip along the East Coast and was blown away by this little gem! While it's a small spot, we were able to be seated right away during Friday lunch hour. We were given chips and beans with some salsa as a free app, and then we had the esquites, which were delicious! Full of lime and rich flavor without being too weighed down by mayo. We had grilled fish tacos for our main course, and they were good - I especially appreciated the cabbage slaw. If I ever found myself in Cherry Hill again, I'd definitely go back!

First, the hostess greeted me like I was her long-lost cousin finally returning from a years-long salsa sabbatical. She was warm, welcoming, and-best of all-cracked jokes that were actually funny (not just "restaurant funny"). The waitress was equally delightful, dropping knowledge about the menu like a tortilla-wrapped encyclopedia and making me laugh so hard I almost snorted my horchata. Let's talk food. The tortillas? Softer than a puppy's ear and more comforting than my abuela's hugs. Each bite was like being wrapped in a carb-cloud of happiness. The sauces (or should I say, "sauces of the gods")? They didn't just add flavor-they added personality to every dish. I'm convinced the guacamole is made with avocados harvested from the Garden of Eden. I would honestly write a love song to that guac if I could sing. As a vegetarian, I'm used to menus that treat me like an afterthought ("Here's a sad salad, enjoy"). Not here! The menu was so vegetarian-friendly, I felt like the chef was reading my mind. I had options-delicious, creative, actual options! Dining here felt like being transported to a hip Mexico City hotspot, minus the airfare and jet lag. If you want good food, this place has good food. If you want good service, this isn't the place. Unless you're a regular. We waited over 45 mins for our food as we watched the regulars who came in after us get their food. Our little one was hangry to the point of crying by the time her tacos came. We didn't realize we needed to feed her before coming for dinner but lesson learned.

Great little traditional Mexican food restaurant, served by an attentive staff. I recommend a reservation because they get busy at times. They do both on-line and phone ordering to go and they hit their estimated time, every time. They're in the middle of the Rt 70 debacle but have plenty of off road parking. BYOB.
