I've been looking for an affordable Chinese food restaurant that has honey walnut shrimp. It's one of my favorite dishes and Good Friend Chinese has a version of it called "Mayo Shrimp with Broccoli." I was on their website and it said it was $11.95. I called and ordered take-out for the dish and an order of the Fried Crab Meat Cheese Wonton, but they didn't tell me the order cost and I forgot to ask. When I got there, my order take-out was more than $20 and I knew it shouldn't be, and was told that the Mayo Shrimp was actually $14.95 vs the $11.95 and that the menu on their website hasn't been updated for years. I get it, sometimes prices change BUT by three dollars with no update on your own business website is unprofessional and false advertisement. I had suggested it would be a good idea to update the website, and the employee had told me she had told the owner before as well. The Mayo Shrimp with Broccoli wasn't like a typical Honey Walnut Shrimp although it was a similar creamy mayo-based sauce but it really was more mayo based and not as sweet. The shrimp was not crispy at all and the broccoli was steamed plain. The fried crab meat cheese wontons were thin and barely had any filling to it. Parking can be tight as it's basically a one-way diagonal parking lot, but there may be spots in the back of the building. All in all, not the best experience. 2/5.

The delivery is fast, prices aren't bad and the combo platters have good value. When I called the person on the phone wasn't that friendly, but the reason for a 3 star is that the meat in the sweet and sour chicken always seems so little. They are pretty decent overall.

Ordered 2 chicken dishes and not sure what kind of chicken was used in my order. Tasted more like some sort of chicken substitute or just poor quality. Very disappointing, neither dish was worth taking a chance of eating for fear of getting sick!

Good food, fast and friendly. Decent portions. Good value for your money. I love the "Four Seasons" under the 'Chef's Specialties. It's 'a delicious combination of lobster meat, chicken breast, sliced beef and roast pork sautéed with fresh vegetables in special sauce'.

Just moved to Bellmawr about a month ago. Had a craving for chinese tonight and did an "around me" search. Good Friend is 2 min away and was delicious! Had the beef w broccoli combo along with my addiction... pan fried pork dumplings. The dumplings may just be the best I've ever had! Just a hint of spice to them. Will DEF go again and try other items!

After my family's go to chinese place closed, we did a thorough search of the best replacement, and Good Friend Chinese is it. The food is wonderful, and I can't think of a problem we've ever had in the 30+ times we've ordered from here. The service is always fast, and the staff is very friendly,earning our name just by the order. Cannot recommend this place enough for take out Chinese food in the area.

Moved into the area a few months ago, and I'm so glad that we found a great Chinese place nearby. Everything on their menu is delicious. The restaurant itself is nothing to look at and you probably don't want to eat in there, but this place is delivery/pick up heaven. Food is made fresh and is not greasy at all. The General Tso's Chicken is amazing. Try the Won Ton soup and any of the Fried Rice dishes. We really like the steamed dumplings too. The ownership here is polite and friendly. This is our new neighborhood stop!

I am very hard pressed to find a good restaurant of ANY kind close to my job,. Bellmawr isn't really known for it's fine cuisine. That being said, I was desperate to find a half decent Chinese takeout place, and where Yummy Yummy (God Awful) and Sweet House (Meh) failed, Good Friend prevailed. The woman who answered the phone was very easy to understand, and she alerted me to the fact that fried rice was $1.00 extra. I wasn't too keen on the fact that they didn't have brown rice at all, so I bypassed rice altogether. I ordered chicken and shrimp with Chinese veg and sauce on the side. The chicken was diced small and very tender, and the shrimp were done just right, not rubbery at all. The veg I absolutely loved, because it didn't include the usual overkill of carrots. it was a nice mix. The wonton soup was lukewarm when I got around to eating it (my fault), but was OK. The wonton were a tad underdone. The wrappers were still a bit doughy. I wouldn't make a special trip here, but for lunch, it does the job. The food is good. I do love how they have on the menu that the General Tso's is his own recipe from the Ching Dynasty, lol.

Patronized Good Friends for many years! Fast, delicious, clean - wide variety on the menu, prompt service, good prices. On their Szechuan menu, my vegetarian choice is tofu with broccoli and garlic sauce - delicious!

Typical decent to very good Westernized Chinese food. Fast ,friendly and proficient English speaking service. Public area and kitchen appeared clean. Decent prices. Good choice in area for consistent and reliable Chinese take-out.
