Gjorde misstaget att prova frukostbuffén på den första morgonen av min vistelse på Westin. Dålig idé. Pudrade ägg och gör dina egna våfflor för över $ 30. Det finns så många läckra restauranger inom kvarter och jag hade ingen aning. Gjorde inte samma misstag dag två.

Detta var den bästa frukostbuffé som jag någonsin har upplevt. De har en uppsjö av hälsosamma alternativ. Du kan provsmaka fruktjuicer i shotglas (blandade juicer som grönkål, äpple) , få hyfsad hel, hälsosam frukt som blåbär och de erbjöd också nötter och frön som pumpafrön, valnötter och pekannötter - för dem som föredrar att få sitt protein på det sättet. Servrarna var alla extremt uppmärksam alltid fylla på vatten och kaffe och ta bort tallrikar vi inte behövde. Plus, Brad, restaurangchefen är symbolen för gästfrihet!

Vår vistelse på 5 nätter på Westin inkluderade kuponger var vi kunde äta frukost på huvudrestaurangen. Platsen var inte så rymlig. Men väl upplyst och på något sätt bekvämt. Det var amerikansk frukostbuffé. Det var de vanliga misstänkta, korv, bacon, spannmål, havremjöl, ägg, lax, ost och bröd. Ledsen ingen station för omeletter. Det var en gör det själv våffla och varm kaka station, men du väntar 3 - 5 minuter på din tur. Du kanske frågar, om köksvalen förändras. Ja det gör de. En gång var det dimsum, en gång en frittata, och en gång var det en lönnsskinka. Hashbrunna en gång, då var det sauterade potatisar. Service, de flesta av vänta personal är ok. Älskade att de inkluderar en läsk i deras buffé. De serverar en konserverad soda varje gång jag var där. Och den sista dagen gav herr mustasch mig en diet soda på ett glas, en avvikelse från den vanliga konserven som de andra gav mig. Jag vet inte vad som är hans problem med mig.

Min fru och jag tillbringar 5 dagar och 4 nätter i New York för årsdagen. När vi försökte gå till Foundry's för en bit att äta och en cocktail hälsade ingen oss vid dörren och när vi frågades fick vi veta att vi fick plats, vilket var en utmaning i sig eftersom många partier satt i områden där det fanns mer stolar än i festen så det tog plats för andra att äta i. När vi hittat ett bord i hörnet tog det servitrisen med tiden för att komma och se vad vi skulle vilja ha. Naturligtvis vi lämnade witho som hjälpte och dined någon annanstans.

Medan vi bodde här hade vi ett kvällsmatch nära baren. Gatuvy är trevligt. Cocktails och vin vid glaset är lite dyra. Vi beställde kyckling quesadillas och en pizza. Stora portioner och kunde bara avsluta ungefär hälften av maten. Tyvärr finns det inget kylskåp i rummet - så det var bortkastat. Vår service var bra. Vill hitta någonstans att äta före teatern såg vi skylten på sidan av hotellet och poppade in för att kolla in det. Maten var i baren, lyckligtvis hittade vi en plats vid community bordet. Beställde quesadilla- och Kobe-reglagen. Quesadilla var bra och hade massor av smak. Gott för två personer. Glidarna var bra. De skulle ha varit bättre om de var lagade på en grill istället för en platt topp.
