There are staff members here at the store for 20 plus years. So they must be doing everything great. Go to the store for that reason. But go as early as you can in the day. Many idiots shop there in the middle of the day. Ask for Roberto in grocery , If Roberto can't find an item , no one can.

Literally the worst ShopRite in the area. If you are able go elsewhere! I ordered a cake for pick up via an app. This cake that I dreamt about for my WHOLE pregnancy because I had gestational diabetes. I placed the order to be picked up on a Thursday. Well when I showed up, my cake was made early. It had Thursday crossed out and Wednesday written in. When I asked the young lady who helped me about why it says Wednesday when I asked for my cake to be ready Thursday, she informed me it was because they were so busy so it was made a day early. I was reassured my cake would be fine. It was not. It was the stalest cake known to man and inedible. Thanks for nothing! AVOID!

I used to work for ShopRite in Kearny for 8 years they let me go day before yesterday cuz they claim they saw me on tape punching somebody in on a Time clock but when it came to the meeting they didn't show no tape they only went by he say she say they let me go for nothing that place is full of it and the managers is so corny.

I don't know much about this area but I will say that this ShopRite offers something I've never seen at others--- the "ultimate crab cake". These crab cakes are made in house and we're only $6.99 which made me nervous but the employee working at the seafood section said they were good and they were flying off the shelf. Baby, they're flying off because they're absolutely delicious. It gave me immediate nostalgia to MD crab cakes which can be like $20-$30 a cake! they were stuffed with meat and minimal breading. After 15 minutes in the oven/broiler-- I cannot believe it. I will definitely get a couple more of these while I can.

I think it's about time this store is investigated for racial profiling. Today I witnessed a Black woman being stopped for her receipt after she went through self checkout. It didn't look like she had a lot of things, so I thought it was odd. I stayed back to observe to see if this woman was in fact stealing something. It turns out she didn't steal anything. I overheard the cashier Deb tell her that the reason she thought she was stealing, was because she had a pint of ice cream in her cart that wasn't bagged. The woman only had one small bag & in looking at it, you could tell she had to put the ice cream in her cart because the ice cream wouldn't fit in the bag. For some reason, Deb felt the need to stop and accost her (I specifically used accost because of Deb's demeanor when she approached the woman). All of that interaction, and the woman didn't even steal anything. Meanwhile, the other shoppers in the self checkout area, who were White people, were not approached, despite having carts full of un-bagged items. Initially, I shrugged the incident off as a one-off since I didn't know either of those women; but what I found interesting was, after casual conversation with people in nearby stores, I learned that this ShopRite is locally known for accosting Black shoppers specifically about their receipts. I'm wondering why no one has addressed this if this store has a reputation of profiling.

Shop here if you like being profiled, stalked around the store and watched like a hawk and forced to show your receipt if, heaven forbid, you decide to put your purchased groceries inside a bag you brought since, oh yeah the no bag policy. I understand times are tough, but treating customers of color like criminals and invading their space/being generally rude and harassing them is a great way to probably tank an already dwindling bottom line and lose business.

Love market never had a problem until this guy, please train him in the manners department. thank you. I'm was looking for the ice cream and he's trying to show off to his friend, says to me, (What now!)wagging his arms as though I'm in his way when in fact he was in my way and if he wasn't in a deep conversation with Buddy he would have realized it, I just looked at him like he's crazy.
