I was in town & a friend brought me here. Security checks your reservation & i.d. at the door. This is the perfect date night, gurls nite, or even a night out with the guys spot. Keep in mind that it's a very intimate setting with first come first served seating & a few reserved spots. Very vibey, the music was on point, & the drinks were good. There's even a pool table & t.v. that had the game on. I'd say this is for the late 20s to 30s crowd. Lots of eye candy, including the staff.

Updating my review because it seems like since my original visit they listened to some of my critiques and are working to make improvements...kudos to the owners for doing that! Came back with a friend who wanted me to give it another chance in spite of my critiques. This time I see the wine list has been improved (and there is a Black owned vineyard in the mix too - Brown Estate). Had an excellent and personable bartender that knew a lot about tending bar, however I cannot speak to the bartender's wine knowledge since this time I opted for cocktails. Best of all they got better quality wine glasses! I saw some of the cheap ones, but the bartender was avoiding using those. Hopefully the improvements keep coming!

It's a vibe. Relaxed seating. Personable stylish staff. Tapas menu is subtle, sophisticated and gourmet. Curated cocktails to support. I had the Cosmo and Wanda while chatting up the owner about our shares take on the amazingness that is the Fairly Oddparents. This is a wine bar and I did not have any wine so I'll be back soon

We really enjoyed the ambience at Consigliere! We went on a Thursday, and even though there wasn't a DJ, the vibe was still great. The wine selection was impressive -- especially the espresso consigliere, which was our favorite. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy good company.

Stopped here for a First Friday event. I had to Rsvp for us to attend at least a week in advance. I was able park right around the corner on Washington Street since there's no parking in front of the venue. We were seated at the bar. This venue is beautiful with an eclectic, old school, upscale bohemian vibe. The dj was rocking all night. I ordered the Cosmo x Wanda and it was delicious. After a while the menu changed but I didn't ordered anything else. My only complaint is their light bites menu.... it is truly just cheese and crackers. Perfect spot to come and have a sophisticated hang and midnight cap after dinner. It's definitely a vibe

Beautiful lounge right in downtown Newark! Fantastic bartenders, friendly service and great music! I went two different times, one for an evening event and one in early evening. One of the better boulvardiers I've had which was exciting. The first time I went I had that beautiful moment when a knight in shining armor (bartender) saves you from having to fight the crowds at the bar and takes your order right there in the middle of the crowd. Was surprised to see such an elevated lounge in a college area. Would go again!

The bartenders is what makes this place so great. They really know how to make drinks to perfection. A low lit wine bar that has great music and great service. I can't say I love their wine yet but I do really love coming in for a whiskey sour and having the bartender surprise us instead every time!

This wine bar is exactly what Newark needed! From the moment you walk in, the space feels like a breath of fresh air.. laid-back yet elevated, with modern, refreshing decor and a vibe that invites you to settle in. What truly sets this spot apart is the ambiance-they've got a live DJ spinning(Thurs/Fri) Drink: Im Pitterberg Riesling Kabinett '21 - Nahe, Germany, and it was just right-light, crisp, and had a subtle greeny freshness. Definitely one of those wines you sip slowly and appreciate. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, even when it gets busy (and it does get busy). Give them a little grace during peak hours. I've already been back twice-so yes, safe to say this is officially one of my go-to spots. If you're in Newark and love wine, music, and good vibes, don't sleep on this place!

I met up with my friend for a drink! When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I walked into the nicest spot! I sat at the bar and was served by some awesome bartenders. I had happy hour and ordered wine and other cocktails. Everything was great! I definitely will return!
