Been here a few times. It's so nice inside. The outside looks like it's closed but it's not!! The place is clean and bright and has a lot of space. It's in a safe part of Newark in the business district. Some places in Newark are sketchy but not here!! They play hip hop on weekends. But also play 90s and dance music too! I don't know why this place isn't packed every night. It should be!! The bartenders are pretty cool. They serve pretty fast. I heard they just started having live music there. Gonna try to check that out. I definitely recommend this place!

At first when I walked in this place would say it was very cute and low key. Unfortunately there needs to be more help with staff at the bar and the kitchen. I've been waiting on my food since 9:19pm and it's now 10:43pm and I still don't have my order of just 4 wings and some fries. Tonight is supposed to be special for wing night so I would think things would be moving fast but that's not the case. Don't think I will be coming here again after having to wait so long just to get a small order of food. I love the karaoke and the vibe for a Tuesday but the wait is totally too long for some food.

The BEST Long Island iced teas we've ever had ! They give you a few options for flavors but we chose strawberry and mango. Such a great mix of alcohol and flavor for only $6 each. I felt tipsy after one drink. And the staff was so nice, they loved our costumes for Halloween and took some great pics for us. They had dj lil man performing the music which we loved of course. We also got $1 fries for happy hour, sooo flavorful. Great happy hour specials. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for the great service and drinks City Lounge !

Customer service is so bad i wanted 45 min for hookah ..tables were dirty they over charged my card for a bottle of casa migos was 150 they charged me 191! Before i got in i already spend 50! 20 to get in 40 for hookah 10$ for a mix drink .They need to work on this lace seriously it's ridiculous ! I have not ate here as much as i wanted to try just because it was my first time here .

I've been here a few times the past couple months. On the weekend and during the week. The bartenders are so nice! Always smiling. So sweet. They make the drinks good. The owners are always there. The music is good. They have live music some Sundays. It's my new spot!

Worst service ever. Where do I start , I came in because I really want to support black owned businesses. It's nothing but attitude city up in there , like I couldn't believe it . You have some guy checking your temperature but he doesn't even have a mask on , none of the staff had a mask on . The. They have a dog sitting on top of the table , the workers are letting the dog not washing their hands and going behind the bar. That' is so gross , so I faint how they make the food. I was trying to get a second drink. The bartender ignored me , I just left . I won't be back at all that was just nasty all around !

My son was in town from San Diego for the Xmas break and was flying back out in the morning so I wanted to chill with him b4 he left so some of my coworkers was getting together for some drinks and work convo so after going to one lounge we came here..I had on work clothes, my son had on construction timberlands and my co workers were dressed. We get to door and security said no tan construction timberlands so we go get sneakers out trunk that dont match his outfit. We get inside and its men and women in there with same boots on so I approach the security inside he shrugs his shoulders cool...I'm giving it 3 stars because the dj was good, the waitresses and barmaids were outstanding, they really worked and kept checking on us and making sure we was good..I went just to check it out but it's not my cup a tea..me being a firefighter I saw crazy violations in there, when people drink they will go to the restroom more often right? They have one bathroom in the whole spot and it's a bathroom you find in an attic apartment smfh.one stool for the whole club..we stayed awhile bottle service was too high for a spot like that but we was like cool we here let's do it so we wont have to leave the spot we had reserved we drank , partied chilled and watched the party goers ,as we left I approached the outside security guard and he said I knew you was gonna say something i said hell yeah my son came from san Diego and you gave us a hard time but it was people in there with them boots on and I just think that's wrong so big up to the barmaids and waitresses but F@@k the club as a whole

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The promoters are janky and weird. they only have one restroom , toilet can't flush , it's clogged. they tell customers to throw the tissue in the trash , like ew. If 0 zero stars was a PLACE. Sink doesn't even work to wash your HANDS. Coronavirus. It's also very small.
