Everyone has a bad day. But 3 different occasions with 3 different employees. It wasn't busy - so that can't be the reason. It's just attitude. No greeting, no emotion and zero personality. For impersonal service I can go to the nearby grocery store self-checkout buy bagels & cream cheese and save money. At least my order came out correct.

This is the second time I ordered these, today they were a little bit overcooked, the ones I got yesterday were very overcooked almost burnt. Today the service was a little slow, they were training somebody on the register. The restaurant was nice and clean.

Place is poorly staffed...be ready for a long wait. Hire more people or loose business. It's been that way for awhile, which is why I no longer will go there

Stopped at this location 2 times and was waiting to leave a review in case the first semi-disappointing visit was not a normal thing. Second visit was much of the same. There was not a clean table in the place. I wonder if they ever wipe down the tables. It was not busy both times we were there. The half and half carafe was empty on both visits. We did an app order ahead and our order was ready when we got there. They have a shelf that they just leave orders on. I wouldn't be surprised if stuff was stolen all the time because they don't question anyone at all. Small kids were running around and touching the lower shelves. Gross! My particular order was placed on the "Doordash" side of the shelves. I absolutely did not order it through Doordash. The bagels were decent but for the inconvenience of not having a drive through and the thought of anyone being able to touch my order I will definitely not be going back any time soon.

Oh my god. How does this place stay in business?? Waited 45 minutes for bagels today, left with none. Manager on duty chewing her fingernails (!!!) between orders, staring out in space, 70% of the bins empty just before lunch rush. I left a pickup order, came back and she yelled at ME because she had not read it accurately. The young, inexperienced, uneducated, fairly clueless young man at the counter kept telling me it would be just a few more minutes, but she hadn't put the order in to bake. I can, and will, make my own dozen in less time than this crew can follow a basic order. Plus, tables were dirty, bathroom door doesn't work right, zero order organization - bags placed anywhere there's room, no identification on them as to what's in each or who they belong to. Holy hell. Never again.

Went back again and got 3 Country & Gravy w/egg. 2 for me and one for my wife. They are the best! We do wish they would actually toast the bagels rather than just heat them up, but they are still great!

Trying to leave ZERO stars. Ordered online from this location. Ordered 2 sandwiches, two hash browns, and received delivery of ONE sandwich. That's it! Thirty plus dollars for breakfast and got totally hosed. Food is good, no doubt but the INEPTITUDE in this one is STRONG. Businesses in this line of work need to understand that people ordering out are not lazy. Many are often fulfilling obligations they can't break away from so being able to DEPEND on HONEST SERVICE from a business such as this is really ESSENTIAL. This particular location has MANY complaints against it so IMHO this company needs to triple down on efforts to improve. I'd give ZERO stars for the ripoff but must leave one to post. Let's make sure That's understood.

I usually frequent the Einstein Bagels on San Mateo and Cutler and always have a positive experience. Unfortunately the times I have stopped in at the Riverside location I have never had a good experience but this last time on April 13th takes the cake and I won't be back. When I arrived there were two people in line ahead of me and two young people working behind the counter. A young man preparing bagels and a young girl trying her best to take orders and run the cash register. Meanwhile I could hear laughing coming from the kitchen area where there must have been a party going on. The poor girl walked to the back to ask for help and a woman came out to teach her how to use the register. Following that lady a toddler ran out from the kitchen area and was running around behind the counter. That child was followed by another woman and a short man. All these people and those two employees working the counter struggling! Not to mention a toddler running around behind the counter. I made my order which took a while as the lady was teaching the younger girl how to use the register. I got my bagels and went to fill my coffee only to find no coffee or creamer. I settled for lukewarm decaf with a few drops of cream. By this time one of the women had the toddler standing on a step stool in front of the bathroom door cutting his fingernails! The little man had made his way to a table where he just sat. I left unable to believe what I had just witnessed. It is ridiculous that this is acceptable. I wonder what the Department of Labor and Environmental Health would think of a toddler running around the kitchen and behind the counter. I'm guessing this has to be a franchise and would hope Einstein Bagels is aware of how this location is representing their business name. I'll stick to the San Mateo/Cutler location from now on.

First off, we called many times with no answer. With the Cornavirus outbreak the idea of ordering by phone or Online would have been helpful. But if they don't answer the phone well what can you do. So we went there, no one there, my husband went in and ordered to Bagels. One thing is that what they show available Online is just a small fraction of what is there. The bagels were cold and so was the egg, bacon, ham, cheese unmelted. I asked my husband what he thought and he was unimpressed. It could have been so much better but it's like they didn't care. I don't know if this is what it's always like or if it's because maybe they don't want to be there and I can't blame them.
