latin american take on chinese food (iykyk) and i love it! it's the kind of chinese food you eat in latin america PLUS Venezuelan dishes. service can take a little but they are willing to accommodate :)

Been here twice now, working my way through the Venezuelan part of the menu, tried the Empanadas the Pastelitos, and the Areapas, all three were good, My SO loved the Empanada pabion (sp?) so well she ordered another one, I loved the Pastes the dough wrapper had a perfect little bubbly texture so good.. and the beef and cheese areapa was nicely flavored! Im gonna have to try the Chinese sometime, the only thing i got from that part of the menu was sesame balls. i liked those a lot they are on the smaller size, which can fit n your mouth.. unlike some of the huge ones other places do. they were so nice and soft and fresh.

The food was good, but the service is nonexistent once your food is served. We had to hunt down someone to get drink refills and then to get to-go containers. No one ever came back to check on anything. Then we sat for a long time waiting for our checks before we told to go to the front desk and tell them what each of us had.

If you're familiar with Chinese food from Latin America, this dish tastes just as I remember. Just like American Chinese cuisine differs from "authentic" Chinese fare, these dishes offer a unique flavor profile and cooking style. The menu includes both Venezuelan and Latin American Chinese options. The Venezuelan cuisine is impressive! The empanadas are fresh, and the fillings are packed with flavor! I also tried the shrimp arepa, which was delicious! I highly recommend El Palacio Imperial, but I suggest doing a bit of research and being thoughtful about your choices.

This is kind of an odd restaurant that features Chinese and Venezuelan food on the same menu. The Chinese dishes seem to dominate the menu. I tried the Kung Pao chicken and found it to be mediocre at best. It tasted bland to me. Service also left a lot to be desired. I had to hunt down the server ti get my check despite the fact that no one else was in the restaurant. This not so great first experience has killed my desire to come back and try the Venezuelan offerings. I know this is a new place but I think they have some work to before the place is ready for prime time.
