We came back because it has been a while and we were craving Korean bbq and hotpot. We joined the waiting list on yelp & headed to the restaurant. The parking lot was packed and there was a bit of a line & wait, but I think getting on the waitlist helped. We were pleasantly surprised that they updated the height limit for kids and our children were charged as kids this time! The reception and service was excellent just as the last few times we ate here. They were friendly and super attentive (really excellent - best in any restaurant we've tried) in stopping by frequently to check up on us, to remove empty plates, and to replace charred/dirty grills. The place was busy and had a fun, energetic vibe. It's always a good sign when a restaurant is packed full of happy patrons. The food selection is great whichever plan you choose (Plan A or B). We've eaten Korean food in LA, Houston, Dallas, and even Korea and I have to say this place is as solid as we've had in any of those spots. I really enjoyed the thin slice cuts of meat - they taste so good cooked on the grill & dipped into the sauces (recommend trying the iGrill sauce). The favorites were the beef bulgogi, beef belly, and garlic shrimp but you really can't go wrong with anything. They have a self-serve bar where you can grab Japchae, sesame balls, fried rice, crawfish, etc and condiments, sauces, dips, ramen noodles. It's really nice that they give you an ipad to order as needed so that you're not wasting time trying to flag down a server to put in an order. I believe there's a 1.5 hour time limit to put in your orders. This place is a hidden gem in Albuquerque/Rio Rancho. I tell all my colleagues to give this place a try and will take all our visiting friends to this restaurant. Parking can be a little tricky during the popular eating times though. I've gotta say that this is the best dining experience we've had in the area. We'll definitely be stopping by here more often.

This place is great for Korean BBQ and hotpot. You have a sauce bar to make your own sauces for hotpot and BBQ. Music is playing and staff are quick to check on you. Remember when the grill gets burnt ask for a replacement. You order off a little pad and little known thing is you have a two hour limit

I had high hopes for I Grill Korean BBQ and Hotpot. Overall, it's a nice, clean spot with a great vibe. The K-pop music playing in the background set the tone, and Albuquerque has definitely been waiting for a place like this. However, a few red flags stood out for my daughter and I: 1. Our waitress didn't know what banchan was. 2. No Korean beers on the menu--only Japanese and Chinese options. 3. Poor ventilation. Each table really should have its own vent. 4. Pickled radish was daikon, not Korean radish. 5. The kimchi tasted cheap and definitely not homemade (if it was, my apologies). 6. Pork belly was sliced as thin as bacon. 7. Service between rounds of meat was slow--we had to remind the waitress to check our order. For context: I'm 505 homegrown but live in Seattle, where I've been spoiled by lots of authentic Korean restaurants, and I've had top-tier KBBQ in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. This place could be a level 10 KBBQ spot with a few adjustments in my opinion. Tips for improvement: - Offer a couple varieties of banchan--like cucumber kimchi, bean sprouts, fernbrake, shredded scallion salad, soy-pickled radish, etc. - Add Korean beers like Terra, Hite, or Kloud. - Serve classic stews like doenjang jjigae or soondubu. - Expand the menu to include kimchi or seafood pancakes, Korean cold noodles, rice cakes and steamed egg. Albuquerque is ready for authentic KBBQ, and I Grill has the location, vibe, and potential to deliver it. With a little fine-tuning, this place could go from mid to unforgettable. 감사합니다

Wow wow wow!!! Myself and the party I went with was blown away by I Grill. I utilized the Yelp Waitlist for the first time and I'm glad I did, it was soooo busy (we did go on a Saturday night) but, the waitlist feature made it a breeze when we arrived. It can be a bit overwhelming having never been there before- but our waiter did an excellent job explaining the process. You can choose between standard bbq or premium bbq, and you can add a hot pot if you like. You have an hour and a half time limit, and it's all you can eat- including sides! The only restriction you have is waiting 1 minute between meat orders (with 10 orders per minute)! As big meat lovers, we were in heaven. The meat was super high quality, and so were the sides! From steak and mushroom fried rice, crab rangoons, kimchi and sesame balls we were eating sooo good. They also have a build your own sauce bar, with suggested combos. I went a little crazy with the garlic, but the great thing is you can make as many as your heart desires! So worth the money, perfect amount of time, and such attentive staff. I will definitely be back!

We went on Sunday during the soft opening weekend. 11:40am and there was already a line. To be honest it was kind of a mess right open, there wasn't any organization for check-in on there wait list tablet and the front entry way is so small and with the crowd, you really couldn't tell what you were suppose to do because people were standing around and not letting other people check in. There was an issue with parties with more that 2 getting seated ahead of others with just 2. This was brought up multiple times while we were waiting and heard people complaining. We didn't have to wait too long to be seated. We didn't get any utensils from the get go, it was over looked, we got our meat and no tongs to grill the meat. With all that being said and it being a soft opening, I would give it a 4.5 and round up to a five. It was a mess right at open, but once the flow with everyone being seated was set, everything went well from there. The sauce and little appetizers station had a long line at open because everyone was there, but once it died down, it was smooth. I'm not going to say it was the very best, but the food is really good. Our hot pot broths were tasty and the meat quality was good. You can order from your tablet on thr table and things do come out quickly enough. Everyone was nice when they came to check up on us or when they were bringing out of dishes. We ordered the B option for the premium dishes and added the $5 for hot pot. This is a cool little spot on this side of town and for the value and experience, it's worth it. Im from the Bay Area, so we have our fair share of these types of restaurants. But having one here is a good thing. Just be aware parking sucks here. Its in the same plaza area as the Salt Yard and iGrill is tucked in the corner where parking is super limited because of all the other businesses. We tried to come here Saturday night and saw the long line outside, but there was no where to park close by. I'm sure if we came an hour or two after opening where the staff found there Grove, it would be a better experience. That opening rush was hectic and people were complaining, rightfully so, but come on, what's and extra 5 mins going to do when's its all you can eat. Yes we will be back.. a tip would be expect a wait if you're looking to get in for dinner. My guess would be it's going to be super busy this month, with it just opening. Oh yeah, the ventilation system is decent, but you will smell like KBBQ no mater what anyone says. So don't get mad when smell your clothes outside the restaurant.

My husband and I have been here a number of times. When it first opened, it definitely was about an hour wait or longer. Now, the wait time has gone done significantly from what we noticed. It is nice that now you can join the waitlist ahead of time on Yelp based off of peak hours and your party size. Prior to this, you had to physically be at the restaurant to join the waitlist. Definitely recommend checking their Yelp page for the wait time! I like their buffet and sauce section as it has a good variety but there are times that I've gone and every time the buffet has something slightly different. The service is good, and staff are friendly. You definitely do smell like KBBQ afterwards but that's usually the norm when going to an AYCE KBBQ place!

Even better than I had hoped for! As someone who lived in South Korea, I've been dying for some Korean bbq for ages in Albuquerque! And now I have some! The iPad ordering thing was new (to me), but effective. Tried the bbq and hotpot B choices so literally- everything. The sauce bar was fire. I honestly ate a bowl of kimchi. As for the hot pot, I did the spicy base and a million meat and vegetables options. The mushrooms!!!! So many options. I'd really missed 'kings mushroom' since leaving Korea. I ate so many today. And grilling everything was great. The table was set up well. I grilled various beef, pork, seafood, and vegetables. Our server came by often and answered (frankly) a ridiculous amount of questions from us. This place better stick around otherwise I'm moving back to Korea to get more bbq and kimchi.

You get option A for $25 or option B for $35, I'm obsessed with beef short rib so I always get option B. Service is always friendly and food comes out fast. The meats are quality cuts. My only hope is they get more veggie options for the Korean BBQ menu, they only have mushroom, zucchini, onion and garlic. If they get rice paper, this place would be set! Must try, so glad we finally have a Korean bbq place in Albuquerque
