Super cute restaurant with a varied menu, including vegetarian options and good prices. The service was kind, attentive and quick and the food was delicious with good portions and decent prices. Bonus points for ample parking. The green Chile on my chilaquiles was outstanding.

Unexpectedly stopped in on their first dinner opening night.
We had an appetizer of chips with queso, salsa and guacamole which were delicious.
For dinner I got the enchilada cassava which they very nicely allowed a substitution of calabacitas for meat in the dish. Christmas style sauces were both tasty, not very spicy. My partner got a green chile cheeseburger with fries. I loved the fries, hot and crispy long fries. My partner reported the burger was good though he thought the chile was a little bland.
We were too full for dess6but brought home a slice of key lime pie and a chocolate mousse,  both were very good.
The interior was beautifully lit with hanging lights and romantic. The staff was very attentive and the food arrived quickly.

As soon as you walk in there is smiled to greet you. The staff is the best here, keeping the coffee hot, and the food fresh and hot. Never an empty glass here. Menu has a a good selection for everyone. The bar is super friendly and drinks are awesome.

While exploring the neighborhood, I stopped @ Cafe Catron because it's off the "beaten path " for tourists.  Delighted to meet the owners who were so welcoming and fun to chat with about food interests.
I was offered a menu to take along.
After being in Santa Fe for a week, and enjoying very good restaurants, we decided to head over to Cafe Catron for dinner.  Again, received lovely greeting by the owners and perfect ambiance of sweet overhead lighting and tables spaced so we could have our own conversation (and not be listening to others).
Best part of all is that the food was very good!  Caesar salad had crisp fresh romaine and homemade dressing.  Green Chile Chicken Posole is absolutely delicious! Another great southwest option is Green Chile Pasta Alfredo.
Too full for dessert this time however, we will be returning before leaving Santa Fe as it's really good food, service, atmosphere @ very reasonable prices!

My husband and I have brunch at Cafe Catron most Sundays, and it never disappoints. The management is eager to please, the servers are friendly and attentive, and the food is well prepared and tasty. The atmosphere is very pleasant, although it can be a little loud on a busy Sunday. We feel very comfortable and cared for in this establishment. Now that Cafe Catron is open for dinner a few nights a week, we look forward to having that experience as well.
