Laxen var inte alls god. Jag skrev den inte. Salladen var riktigt god måste jag säga. Jag skulle inte besöka denna apple ees igen.

Applebee’s i Time square-området är stort. Jag var här för brunch innan en matiné. Jag beställde omeletten med lantpotatis. Jag bad om att omeletten skulle vara välstekt - det var den inte. Allt var tråkigt, intetsägande och smaklöst. Jag kom inte hit för en gourmetmåltid men jag trodde inte att det skulle vara svårt att äta en enkel frukost.

Maten kall. Dyrt och följaktligen inte bra värde. Smaklöst. Första och sista gången att uppleva sitt matutbud. 
Måltiderna var hamburgare och gitter pommes frites, grillad kyckling med vitlöksmos potatis och lökringar. Kyckling tillagades inte genom att grilla den, väldigt kall, potatismos med lite smak. 
Tyckte synd om personalen som serverar det.

Jag besökte Applebee’s på Times Square ( 42:a gatan ) söndagen den 6 april 2025 , runt kl 3 : 56 PM. Servicen var genomsnittlig, men vad som verkligen förstörde upplevelsen var hur jag pressades att betala dricks. 

Räkningen visade två totalsummor — en för $ 31 . 02 (utan dricks) och en för 36 dollar. 15 med en föreslagen dricks på $ 5 . 13 . Jag klargjorde att jag bara ville betala grundbeloppet, men servitrisen Anifa K vägrade att ta emot det. Hon insisterade på att jag skulle betala det högre beloppet, trots att dricksen inte var markerad som obligatorisk. 

Som någon som förstår att dricks i USA är valfritt om inget annat anges, kände jag mig obekväm och vilseledd. Ingen kund ska behöva pressas att betala mer än den faktiska totalsumman, särskilt när det är tydligt märkt som ett förslag. 

Jag hoppas att ledningen tar itu med detta, eftersom det reflekterar dåligt på ett annars välrenommerat varumärke. Jag rekommenderar inte denna plats, särskilt till turister som kanske inte är medvetna om dricks praxis i USA.

Vi hade en tidig middag där för första gången på 4 år, vår sista resa till USA. 

* Mycket dåligt välkomnande
Vid ankomsten talade vi med Natalia, den personal som är tänkt att välkomna och plats kunder på bästa möjliga sätt. 
Men eftersom vi avböjde Natalias förslag att gå upp, utan snarare föredrog att sitta på bottenvåningen, verkade hon extremt irriterad och hon berättade också för sin kollega om vårt till synes irriterande beslut på spanska! 
Vi förstår verkligen inte varför och vi tycker ödmjukt att Natalia inte ska arbeta inom servicebranschen. Jag berättade också att detta verkligen inte gjordes mot kunder, både på engelska och spanska. 

* God mat
Vi beställde båda in filé med vitlöksmos & färsk broccoli, min hade också räkor. Båda smakade bra, precis som vi mindes. Som efterrätt delade vi på ”sizzling pecan butter blondie” som också var god. 

* Bra service
Hamidou var vår servitör och han gjorde ett bra jobb. 
Vi visade därför vår uppriktiga uppskattning. 

Vi kan rekommendera för maten och servicen men absolut inte för personal Natalia.

Vi var glada att prova Applebee's i New York. Maten var genomsnittlig minst sagt. Joanna S var vår server (den enda server det såg ut som) och förtjänar en medalj, hon sprang runt och försökte hålla alla kunder nöjda och hon hade fortfarande ett leende på läpparna. . . bra gjort Joanna, stackars show av Applebee's! ! Var är Undercover Boss när du behöver dem!

Det var en bra upplevelse och maten var god och allt och det fanns också en server som heter Anahis och hon är mycket trevlig och bra på sitt jobb.

Gick hit då vi hade hört om det så mycket via amerikanska sociala medier så ville testa det. Inga specialerbjudanden tydligen, service var skräp jämfört med alla andra ställen vi åt, mat kom ut i 4 minuter så antar alla mikrovågsugn. 18 % dricks lades till på räkningen, vi tog av den och gav mindre kontanter

Jag ville bara dela den här hemska upplevelsen med dig. Jag blev lurad, snälla fall inte i detta trick. 

Tyvärr tillbringade jag min nyårsafton 2024 på Applebees 42:a gata. Som du bör veta är detta en stor händelse i New York, massor av människor som väntar på nedräkningen, bollsläpp etc, drömmen för många. 

Innan jag köpte dessa biljetter frågade jag typ 20 gånger. Kommer jag att kunna se bollen falla? Killen i telefonen, servrarna även chefen på restaurangen sa ja, du kommer att ha fri sikt, vi kommer att poängsätta dig och du kommer att kunna se det. Lögner. 

De ljög för mig flera gånger, det här är en stor bluff. Falsk reklam. Hur kan du överhuvudtaget fortsätta göra så här mot människor och komma undan med det? Vet de hur hårt någon arbetar för att samla 2 . 000 usd? Vet de hur smärtsamt det är att förlora 2 . 000 på en sekund för en upplevelse som inte alls är värd det? Jag slösade bort mer än 2 k usd för en enkel vanlig buffé middag, vattnade drinkar, hemsk service, och i slutet, allt som betydde något för mig var utsikten att jag inte fick någondera. Även om jag inte fick äta middag ville jag bara ha en bra utsikt. Skamligt. 

Jag hade inte fri sikt, jag har ingen sikt alls Jag såg inte ens bollen, ingen eskorterade mig till ingenstans som utlovat, jag tycker inte att detta är rättvist. 

Detta är en i livet upplevelse, du flyger hela vägen till NY på nyårsafton bara för att se bollen falla, räkna till 0 , känna känslorna och ha en bra tid på det nya årets händelse. Jag hade inget av det och jag betalade mer än 2 . 000 . Jag ångrar allt.
