Gjorde välkomna från när vi kom tills vi lämnade. Fantastisk atmosfär, exceptionell Service av Kathy, prissatt som jag förväntar mig. Skulle rekommendera för bara 1 drink eller några.

Denna historiska restaurang och pub ligger i hjärtat av teaterdistriktet strax utanför Times Square. Den har en stor split bar och flera nivåer. Klassiskt känd som en after tea pub eller före show middag och drinkar plats är det också en bra plats att upptäcka nuvarande Broadway show cast medlemmar träffas för drinkar även om det har en stor regelbunden New Yorker publiken också. Under lunchen tidigt på eftermiddagen tenderar det inte att ha massor av turister som de irländska barerna närmare Times Square har så det är ett bra ställe att träffa vänner etc. Personligen tycker jag att det har en mer intressant meny att en hel del av pubarna i området som läggs till den vanliga pub grub som hamburgare, fish and chips etc kan du få lax, hummer bisque och fisk tacos etc. mycket bra utkast urval, och brett utbud av well drinkar. Allt som allt en bra bar i en klassisk historisk New York-byggnad!

Varje gång jag kommer till NY, stannar jag till för lunch eller middag eftersom det var här mina föräldrar tog mig att äta på min första resa till Ny när jag var 15 . Det hade alltid varit genomgående bra med fina minnen fram till idag! 

Jag gick in vid elvatiden : 30 på en söndag och det var ett par i baren och bartendern /mgr - en blond dam i mitten till slutet av 50 s - frågade aggressivt vad jag ville och jag uppgav bara lunch. 

Bussen gav mig ett vatten i en plast engångsmugg och den indiska servitören var artig och tog min beställning. Jag tittade på när bartenderdamen gick igenom humörsvängningar, kunde inte sitta stilla, och var fixerad på att berätta för folk om hennes pick 3 scratchers historia från kvällen innan (inklusive min servitör som inte hade någon aning om vad hon pratade om); lämna servitören för att få min kokain bakom baren och det var tydligt att han inte visste hur man använder läskpistolen, men han gjorde sitt bästa - det verkade som han var en nyanställd. 

Kyparen tog med mig kokainet i ett glas den här gången och när jag provade det var det tydligt att sirapen och kolsyrelinjerna var smutsiga och drycken smakade hemskt. 

Min mat anlände och jag märkte genast att salladen var brun, bullen var gammal och burgaren var täckt av amerikansk ost. Jag sa ingenting direkt, när jag såg bartendern pilla med glaslöparen på baren och såg på när telefonen lämnades att ringa och hon gick rakt förbi den med andra anställda som tittade på varandra och undrade om de skulle få den. Till slut kom hon tillbaka och plockade upp den vid sista ringen, snodde en attityd till den som ringde och slog ner telefonen. 

Jag tog två tuggor av hamburgaren och löste ut.

Klart fisk och chips. Bekvämt till julgranen, och servern såg ut som Scarlett Johansson, så det var också ett plus.

Detta är den värsta THANKSGIVING måltid jag har varje haft i mitt liv. Absolut skräp. Vårt parti av 15 på en NY resa från Spanien var äcklad, det förstörde vår sista natten. Jag skulle aldrig kliva foten på stället igen! Personalen är okunnig och har stora attitydproblem. Mat Äckligt. Gå inte in, du har blivit varnad!

Har varit på Hurley's när jag kommer till NYC och skulle känna mig skyldig att gå någon annanstans i närheten. Den absolut bästa servicen från ett fantastiskt team på baren. Känns precis som din lokala pub. Korrekt old school känsla, inga krångel och gjort för att känna sig så välkomna. Den kommer alltid att ha en förtjust plats i mitt hjärta. Melissa, Kathy, Genesis och hela besättningen är bäst.

Jag har nyligen haft en "återförening" middag på Hurley med ett gäng killar, och det var fantastiskt! Vi hade ett trevligt semi - privat rum med bord och tillgång till att gå runt och prata utan att bry oss om andra. Appar och måltider var mycket bra, liksom tjänsten.

Snubblat av misstag vidare till Hurleys Saloon (est. 1892) medan han gick till Times Square från vårt hotell. Och vilken trevlig olycka det var. Öppet för lunch och middag, det blev vårt stopp för öl och aptitretare. Det var potatisskinn enastående. . . mer som pizza ovanpå ett lager skivad potatis (i motsats till de skopade potatisarna du får de flesta platser), och kycklinganbuden var också bra. När vi inte ville ha en fullständig måltid, eller bara efter en snabb bit, var Hurley där vi skulle gå. Tjänsten var ibland lite långsam, men maten var värd att vänta. En försiktighet: den här platsen kan bli bullrig när alla tar sig ut. Ett av våra besök var kvällen till NYC Marathon, och platsen var lite nöt. Men du måste prova det minst en gång eftersom det är något av en institution.

Vi träffade 14 av oss alla här från olika delar av Storbritannien och USA. Centralt beläget, lätt att hitta och ett stort urval av öl och sprit. Baren var mycket upptagen när vi anlände men hade inga problem att få serveras och det var en trevlig atmosfär i baren och maten var utmärkt.

Idealiskt beläget bara 30 meter från Times Square och prisvärda för mat och dryck med tanke på NY-priser. Personalen mycket vänlig och välkomnande. Särskilt bra beläget för dem som bor på Gallivant Hotel eftersom det bara är cirka 10 meter att svimma hem, särskilt eftersom denna pub är öppen klockan 02.00! ! !

Vi hoppade bara in för en drink för att komma ur regnet men hamnade i några timmar, drycker och lite god mat. Bra service från vår barmaid på måndag eftermiddag. Mycket uppmärksam och tittade efter oss och ett antal andra kunder under hela vår vistelse. Inte säker på om vi kommer tillbaka i området denna resa men definitivt kommer tillbaka om vi gör det.

Vi råkade ringa till Harley för vår sista drink innan vi lämnade NYC och titta på fotbollen.
Det är ett bra värde bar med hjälpsam vänlig personal. Vi samlade 2 delar av deras pommes frites, currysås och ost, som slog platsen efter några öl.
Det fanns en livlig grupp i baren som var ute och firade ett par arbetskamrater. En kille i synnerhet fick oss att känna oss mer än välkomna. Ledsen glömde ditt namn men tack för tequila-skott och öl som du behandlat oss till.
Jag hoppas att om du någonsin besöker Storbritannien, behandlas du på samma sätt.

Vissa människor hävdar att denna plats inte är irländsk nog. . . vad det nu betyder. Jag tyckte att det var en mycket pittoresk atmosfär med bättre än genomsnittlig mat. Kanske lite högre kostnad än det borde vara, men saker är dyra nära Times Square oavsett var du går.
