Do not waste your money. This place treats guests like livestock. I had a terrible experience at blue note and the staff did nothing to resolve the issue.

My wife and I arrived at 7:15 for an 8 PM show and were seated near the stage at a tight four-person table with strangers, which is expected for a jazz club. About 30 minutes into the show, they attempted to seat a table that was placed between two other tables. Instead of sitting at the table, one guest pulled his chair into the middle of the aisle directly behind mine, blocking my ability to move backward or lean back and making it difficult for the servers to navigate.

Eventually, he moved to the table after I had to go to the restroom. He removed one of the two chairs and took up two spots, which was slightly better until they seated two more guests at that four-person table. Rather than making space for the new patrons, he continued taking up the entire table, forcing everyone to shift onto our four-person table, which was now a cramped six-person setup. We were all squeezed together, trying not to block the emergency exit at the end of our table.

With no security present, the situation remained unresolved. I spoke to a manager, who addressed the guest, but nothing changed. Feeling uncomfortable and bad for the other guests, we left.

They offered us seats at the 10:30 show, but we declined. It is disappointing because the performance itself was fantastic. If Blue Note is going to pack in as many seats as possible, they should at least ensure everyone respects the space. Staff should be actively making sure guests remain seated within the space provided, rather than allowing some to take up extra room at the expense of others. As it stands, I would not return. Given that the tickets were over fifty dollars each, with a mandatory minimum spend of twenty dollars per person, we spent roughly one hundred fifty dollars plus tip for a miserable experience. I would like a refund.

When I went there the soul rebels were playing that night and it was absolutely amazing. Their energy was so high and even though I was tired of walking all day I still was jamming out to their music. And after the show I went up and they were super nice and they signed my CD. But the location is pretty small for a tall person but a really mellow environment. Highly recommend

Nice cozy atmosphere.  Get there early stand in line for good seat.  If you want to see the show don’t buy tix for the bar.

One of the greatest jazz clubs in NYC - a must visit for all jazz lovers!

We came here last night to see my favorite jazz trumpeter Chris Botti and it was a fantastic performance! He was amazing, as were his band members.

The food is completely overpriced, but one of the stipulations of the club is a $20 minimum per person. I enjoyed a $18 French 75 cocktail, while my husband had the Guiness at $12 and an order of fries of $9. The waitress added the $1 to equal our bill to $40.

The club is filled with crowded tables. Bathroom is upstairs. We came for the performance. I'd expand the footprint of the club - this can't be safe according to fire code.

Kom hit för att se Harlem Gospel Choir. Kom och det visade sig att vi hade bokat biljetterna online för veckan innan! Hur, vi förstår inte! Blue Note sade att detta aldrig har hänt förut men då hade människorna bakom oss också felaktigt bokat för veckan innan... Jag misstänker ett webbplatsfel eftersom vi var på besök från Storbritannien och såg till att rätt datum lades till. Hur som helst de vänligt tillmötesgående oss, vilket var bra, men sa att vi skulle behöva sitta i baren. Maten var bra, kören var fantastisk! Men dryckespriserna är mycket dyra! Min anledning att skriva denna recension är att låta folk veta att be om räkningen INNAN du betalar. Baren anbud debiterade mitt kort innan jag kunde se räkningen och var så mycket oförskämd när jag gav honom en partiell dricks (andra i min grupp var att lägga till det) han först då presenterade räkningen och oförskämt sade (samtidigt knacka/peka på kvittot) Jag måste betala 20 % dricks nu. Jag informerade honom andra skulle ge ett tips också om han väntade och om han hade gett oss ett kvitto först! Han såg mig upp och ner med ett ansikte av avsky. Hans oförskämd attityd förstörde absolut en härlig tid vi hade där.

Vilken fantastisk kväll på Blue Note Jazz Club att se den fantastiskt begåvade Arturo Sandoval. Efter att ha sett negativa recensioner för denna plats var jag beredd på det värsta, och vad som levererades, var helt enkelt bäst! Personalen var utmärkt och maten var ganska bra. Priserna var i nivå med andra Jazzklubbar runt om i världen och ja, sittplatserna är trånga, men det är ett litet pris att betala för att se några av världens största musiker. Bra gjort allt på Blue note, vi kommer utan tvekan tillbaka när vi nästa gång besöker New York.

Hemsk upplevelse. Ställets policy är att packa det över gränsen. Vi köpte 2 biljetter till gospel på söndag brunch, vi satt i ett bord av 8 utan andningsutrymme. Även mycket farligt i händelse av brand eller något problem du är fångad inuti. Bättre att sätta priset högre och lämna utrymme för att njuta av upplevelsen. Jag kommer aldrig tillbaka och jag kommer inte föreslå den här jazzklubben till någon jag känner. Jag pratade med värden och hon sa åt mig att stå i baren om jag inte vill bli instängd. Stället är helt klart överbokat vad ni tycker från bilderna bifogade?

Det här är lite av "temaparken" jazzklubb. Musiken (Esmeralda Spalding) var mycket bra men jag kan inte överbetona hur mycket du är mosad i och inte behandlas med någon värme eller respekt! Du kommer att vara mycket nära (dvs röra dem på varje sida & bakom) med inget sätt att gå ut under föreställningen. Du kommer knappt att ha något utrymme att äta din mat (som är för dyrt och mycket intetsägande - så bäst undvikas ändå). Sittplatser tilldelas men slumpmässigt och det finns massor av riktigt dåliga alternativ (även om vi hade mycket tur på natten med platser nära scenen). En annan sak att se upp för är att du kommer att presenteras med din "räkning" under liveframträdandet. Du kommer att bli ombedd att trycka på en kortautomat med bara ett belopp (+ dricks) som visas på skärmen. Du kommer inte att visas någon uppdelning eller ges någon räkning - så se till att du håller en mental anteckning om vad du beställer! Jag var säker på att jag var överdebiterad men för generad för att ifrågasätta det under liveframträdandet. Visst nog när jag kollade efteråt så var det så. Jag försökte ta upp detta vid några tillfällen med klubben efteråt - eftersom jag i princip inte gillar att bli lurad - men istället för att undersöka eller åtgärda felet ignorerade de mig bara - så jag berättar nu för er alla på detta forum så att ni kan undvika att också bli överdebiterade (eller bättre, välj en mer genuin och vänlig jazzklubb i NYC till att börja med). Det kan vara ett ärligt misstag - men jag skulle vara intresserad av att höra om andra också har upplevt detta "misstag" eftersom klubben vet att de flesta besökare är turister som passerar. Förvisso är Blue Note bara intresserad av att extrahera maximalt $$ från ditt besök, handlar på ett tidigare rykte och har INGET intresse av att göra din upplevelse minnesvärd.

Gud förbjude att det brann, vi skulle alla vara döda! 
Åkte för att se den otroliga Esperanza Spaulding igår kväll... och hon var gudomlig! MEN ... de, Bluenote, är inte intresserade av din personliga erfarenhet ... det var förmodligen översåld med 25 % ... . Vi klämdes in som sardiner... Jag har aldrig känt mig mer obekväm på en show... SKÄMS PÅ DEM! 
Tyvärr skulle jag inte kliva in där igen. . EVER

Gick för att se den fantastiska Harlem Gospel Choir. Upplevelsen förstördes av lokalen. 

Det första man ska veta är att de inte säljer platser. Det är först till kvarn som gäller. Om du vill sitta, måste du komma tidigt. Så vi kom dit vid 12 när den öppnade. Sedan satt vi och väntade i 90 minuter på att showen skulle börja. 

Allt var så högt att jag inte kunde höra låtarna eller musiken att det bara var en vägg av ljud som anföll mig. Det var faktiskt så smärtsamt att vara där att vi åkte tidigt. Det har gått några timmar och mina öron ringer fortfarande. Jag var inte den enda heller en annan beskyddare vid vårt bord hade händerna över öronen och det hade jag också. 

Det finns egentligen ingen ursäkt för ljudproblemen.

En av de största jazzklubbarna i NYC - bra musik men riktigt trångt! 

Vi kom hit igår kväll för att se min favoritjazztrumpetare Chris Botti och det var en fantastisk föreställning! Han var fantastisk, liksom hans bandmedlemmar. 

Maten är helt för dyrt och inte mycket bra, men en av bestämmelserna i klubben är en $ 20 minimum per person. Jag njöt av en $ 18 fransk 75 cocktail, medan min man hade Guiness på $ 12 och en beställning av pommes frites på $ 9 ! Servitrisen lade till 1 dollar för att motsvara vår nota till 40 dollar. Hon var inte här när vi ville ha mer vatten. 

Klubben är fylld med fullsatta bord. Badrummet är på övervåningen. Vi kom för föreställningen. Jag skulle utöka klubbens fotavtryck - det här kan inte vara säkert enligt brandreglerna.

Vilken underbar plats och upplevelse. Vi gick för att se den VÄRLDSBERÖMDA Harlem Gospel Choir och blev inte besvikna! En fantastisk show men höjdpunkten var personalen. Vilket lag - de här killarna förtjänar löneförhöjning! Otrolig mängd dryck och mat serveras till en packad klubb... med maximal effektivitet och ingen stress. Han ler från Scotty, den fantastiska barmannen, till resten av besättningen. Fantastiskt

En skam för en plats. Jag såg så fram emot att träffa Chris Botti, det var vi 6 stycken, var tvungen att ta ett andra lån för att köpa biljetter (min födelsedagsfest) de satte oss vid ett bord som passar kanske 4 personer, så tight att jag inte kunde röra mig åt vänster eller höger. Maten var bara ok servicen långsam och obefintlig ibland massor av missförstånd. 
Kvällens höjdpunkt, musiken, var bra men han hade alldeles för många extramaterial vilket var en besvikelse eftersom jag kom för att lyssna på honom. 
Definitivt min sista tid på Blue Note

När jag kom över från England för Jets matchen och var stammis hos Ronnie Scott i London bestämde jag mig för att besöka den berömda Blue note jazzklubben. 
Jag tycker att många av de tidigare recensionerna sammanfattar upplevelsen ganska bra. 

Jag var främst besviken över hur 6 av oss var inklämda i ett utrymme för 4 , . Servicen var ok och maten genomsnittlig. 

Varför inte debitera alla 10 % extra och ge oss alla chansen att njuta ordentligt i komfort? 

Jag är i New York vartannat år... men det kommer inte att vara till den blå ton. Pop över dammen till Ronnie’s och se hur det ska göras.

Bandet ska börja klockan 20, men det var inte förrän klockan 20: 17:00 äntligen någon kom ut för att tala något, det var helt respektlöst publiken betalade för biljetterna. 

Musiken suger och spelas inte av liveband sjöng utan förinspelad musik. 

Det här stället packar ihop alla som slavar under rusningstid i tunnelbanan och försökte sälja så många platser som möjligt. 

För en plats som mecka för Blue Jazz, är denna plats helt överprissatt och inte värt det. 

Ändå är maten överraskande bra. Den ska behandlas som en restaurang i stället för en plats för musik.

Jag spenderar 50 - 100 set per år på jazzklubbar runt om i världen och har varit Blue Note-kund sedan den öppnade. Klubben har alltid varit för dyr, obekväm, med knappt ätbar mat, och respektlöshet för artisterna, men idag kom jag ihåg hur oförskämd värdarna och servitrisen är. 

Frågor till ledningen: 
Varför avbryter ni livemusiken för att kunderna ska stänga sina checkar? Varför skriker du åt kunder och bandet att flytta på sig efter ett brunchset med vänner till bandet? Du har 4 - 5 timmar på dig att rensa 10 bord. QR-kod menyer är bra på Burger King. Varför tar du $ 7 . 45 per biljett för mig att vara ditt bokningssystem online? 

Har det slagit dig att du är i gästfrihetsbranschen? 

Blue Note NY är Jazzklubbarnas Greyhound. 

Spendera dina pengar på Smoke eller Birdland istället. Small’s och Mezzrow är bra alternativ för mindre formell jazz utan kök.

Blue Note brunchen hade blivit starkt rekommenderad av en vän som brukade gå på den för några år sedan. Om det var bra då, har det bleknat nu. Maten är OK. Priserna är OK personalen är helt klart bara gör det av siffrorna. Om du åker, kom inte före kl 12 : 30 . Det finns gott om sittplatser — även om kabarésittningen är ganska trång — och musiken börjar inte förrän 1 : 00 . De rider på sitt långa rykte — och inte mycket annat.

Jag gick för att träffa en av mina favoritmusiker, Bela Flek. Jag kom en hel timme men platsen var redan fylld och vi satt i Sibirien. Det var oerhört obekvämt och klaustrofobiskt eftersom det bara är för många människor på det lilla utrymmet. Servitriserna rör sig konstant och snubblar över mina fötter. Min cocktail var hemsk. De spelade bara 90 minuter för 75 dollar plus minst 20 dollar. Musikerna var bra men jag ska gå och se dem igen på ett ställe som inte försöker klämma varenda krona ur deras kunder.

De tränger människor 6 till ett litet bord, servitörerna är brysk men professionell och det finns en touch av "kunden har aldrig rätt" om servicefilosofin här. Var uppmärksam på att om du sitter och tittar bort från scenen, med tanke på att du är packad som en sardin här, kommer du att ha en besvärlig tid att vända dig om för att se musikerna. Maten är helt OK och musiken, musiken är himmelsk. Toppmusiker. Det är ledningen av klubben som är problemet ur kundernas synvinkel. Cheferna borde åtminstone säga till servitörerna att vara trevligare.
