Cafe Cluny offers a charming atmosphere and attentive staff, but my experience with the onion soup fell a bit short. While the soup itself was flavorful and satisfying, it wasn’t piping hot, which was unfortunate. I considered asking to have it warmed up, but since the inside of the soup was still warm, I let it go. My guess is that it might have been ready early and held until other dishes were prepared, causing it to cool. Overall, a pleasant visit, but I’d hope for better temperature control in the future. Or serving system.

My favorite breakfast menu item so far is the avocado toast with a poached egg and side of greens. The greens were evenly and nicely marinated in a vinegar sauce. The poached egg was a fun and tasty addition to the avocado toast. The avocado spread was good, along with the toast and tomatoes. Overall it was solid but I do tend to prefer more adventurous flavors.

The steel cut oatmeal with fruit was nicely done. The coconut shreds and almond slivers helped it quite a bit and were a nice touch more than regular oatmeal with fruit. I don't think I'll get it again simply because it is huge and I don't want to spike my blood sugar so early in the morning. But some people are eating French toast with syrup for breakfast so for those people this would be an improvement in terms of blood spiking.

Highly recommended. Enjoyed lunch here on a weekday so enjoyed the airy atmosphere as opposed to the packed weekend crowd. Friendly and attentive service, excellent food prepared very well and serves hot, broad variety of food. A must is the French onion soup! The spaghetti duck bolognese is also exceptional. Enjoy!

I stumbled upon Café Cluny in West Village on Sunday evening after Pride Parade and thought it looked cute from the outside. My friends and I decided to give it a try, and it was a great find! The interior is very cute and relaxing, with lovely decor and lighting.

The service was phenomenal, our server is Amelia. Staff are friendly and attentive. We tried the pan seared branzino and
Yellowfin tuna tartare, both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The cocktails ( paper plane, aperol magarita, aperol spritz and negroni) were fantastic too.

I'll definitely be coming back to try their brunch!

Loved everything about this place. The food was spectacular. Fresh ingredients and awesome combinations. We got an outdoor table and the atmosphere was wonderful.
