While the entrance needs more prominence and more light near the elevators, the food was great. It was tasty and cooked perfectly. Appreciated the cooking of some of the steak further for people with dietary preferences. Service was good though a bit slow and some of the food came out of order. Overall, I would go back because of the food taste and the good group we were with. Easily accommodated our reservation group getting smaller without shifting us to a smaller table. Good times!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Catch in New York City, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance of the place is incredible—modern yet cozy, with a vibe that makes you want to linger long after your meal is over.

To start, I indulged in their fresh oysters, which were nothing short of perfection—briny, crisp, and bursting with flavor. They were easily some of the best I've had in the city. The Caesar salad followed, and while it wasn't the traditional take on the classic dish, it was a delightful surprise. The unique twist on ingredients made it even tastier than expected, showcasing the chef’s creativity.

The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the octopus. It was, without question, the best I've had in New York. Tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented, it was a dish that exemplified the high culinary standards of the restaurant.

I was really surprised. This spot was for all ages. Cute outside seating. We went around 4 PM before it got busy. We had some drinks and some appetizers. Drinks were great. I loved their espresso martini (with Grey Goose. I don't like all the sweetness with vanilla vodka!) It was on point. Their sushi was the best I have ever had and we travel and eat at alot of very nice spots! Their seaweed wasn't chewy. It was definitely fresh  melting as you chew and their fish was fresh and excellent with great flavors. We didn't have much but did order another round of the same two appetizers. Yellowtail, avocado sushi roll, and the crunchy rice cakes, they were super delicious! And to top it off from the moment you walk in and get greeted by the guy at the door to the entire team was perfect. Friendly, smiling with great service.

Here’s why.
Atmosphere: It was SOOOO LOUD in this place, I literally developed a headache. We sat upstairs, and judging by others pictures, there is another dining room that is larger. Perhaps the small size contributed to the poor acoustics, but it did make the evening very unpleasant!
Otherwise, the room itself, decor and layout was fine if not quaint in an elegant way.
Service: Our waitress was quite lovely. Just had a great demeanor about her. I think she wanted me to kiss her. I would’ve. She was quite cute. But, the hostesses … sheesh. They have off this “Look pal. I work the runway modeling, sooo, just you wait till I’m ready to seat you”. Was just a look and vibe that I noticed.
Food: I had the seared barramundi or some such white flakey fish which was quite the dish.  Moist and just the right amount of flavor! Highly recommend!
The dudes at this place, especially the ones standing at the bar, looked like complete posers! Their entirety was so paper thin it was almost embarrassing. Wow. I guess they can get away with that in NYC.
I’d say Get Some, but sit outside where it’s quieter.

Overrated and over hyped. Food was mediocre. We could’ve stayed in south Jersey and went to Morimoto instead. We ordered the bluefin trash, the hamaci was GREAT, somehow both crudos came with the same broth and sauce… all that money and you can’t exhibit skill to make different crudo? wagyu fried rice pointless, chicken bao buns pointless, cocktails were just okay. Everything was pretty wack. Also it’s super loud. Table next to ours with two people, the one lady is screaming for no reason at all. Too much going on. Rent out the hallway on the way up. It makes me believe I’m about to have an unbelievable experience. However it fell shorter than me.

Det här stället är ett okul skämt. Vi hade reservation för 9 : 15 för två av oss. Damen bad oss vänta i baren, bordet skulle vara klart om ett ögonblick. Vi väntade till 10 : Klockan 10:00 gick sedan nervöst för att fråga när vårt bord skulle vara klart. Kyparen ledde oss till ett bord. Vi beställde drycker, förrätter och varmrätter. När jag frågade chefen försökte han övertyga mig om att de bara har Smashburger på menyn och blev VÄLDIGT förvånad över att se att de har Cheeseburger istället. Vilken lögn och dåligt skådespeleri. Maten och drycken var fantastisk. Väldigt cool känsla. Vår servitör var mycket uppmärksam. Dörren är svår att hitta eftersom det inte är faktiskt på 9th. Hade hört talas om Catch i åratal. Kul att vi äntligen fick äta där.

Helt fantastiskt. Reservationer är ett måste. Jag rekommenderar att gå tidigt eftersom det blir packat efter 5 : 30 . Det finns uteservering som tillåter. Maten var fantastisk. Jag åt den grillade Branzino! Snyggt! På den dyra sidan!

Kom med min fru på en 5-dagars NYC-resa från Storbritannien och rekommenderades denna plats av en vän som också ofta besöker. Om du gillar en snabb tempo restaurang (utan känslan av att rusa som kund) med en bra surr och atmosfär är detta din plats. Vi satt av den vänliga vänta personalen som sedan fortsatte att vänligen förklara förrätter och elnät som vi frågade - god kunskap och ännu bättre rekommendationer med rätter eftersom maten var fantastisk. Kommer definitivt att besöka igen under vår nästa resa till NYC

Jag kom hit på en måndag kväll med flera kollegor och vi hade en fantastisk tid - trevlig atmosfär, god mat och enastående service från all personal. om den enda nackdelen är att det är mycket högt i restaurangen. Vi beställde inte förrätter, men hade vad som tycktes vara flera dussin av solostallerna - släpp inte upp den söta och sura räkor, hummermac och ost och nötköttspettarna. Se till att du sparar utrymme för efterrätt eftersom marshmallow smores och munkar är den absoluta bomben.

Vi hittade restaurangen av misstag eftersom vi letade efter ett ställe att äta efter att vi gick på highline. Det var trångt på en fredagskväll, trevlig atmosfär, folk klädda ut för en natt ute på Manhattan. Restaurangen var fullbokad men hade några tabeller längs baren med full menyservice. Vi ville bara ta en drink och en förrätt men eftersom maten var utsökt, stämningen var fantastisk, fortsatte vi med en full middag. Utmärkta musslor som jag kan se eftersom det är en belgisk specialitet. Balanserad, smakfull, bra service.
