Overall a great experience.
Staff was helpful and friendly, and food was incredible.
All dishes are a little salty. I knew this before coming so I asked them to make everything less salty — the dishes ended up still being too salty for me. But that’s fine since I really liked the flavor.
My favorite dish is the Endive salad and the mackerel. Insanely good and lots of umami flavor!
Did not like the omelette, cheese is overpowering the egg and I couldn’t really taste the truffle:(

Great food generally but with some exceptions. Of all the recs, Ricotta dumplings were underwhelming and disappointing. I am almost confused as to why it is named dumpling. The texture is too soft, crumbly, the cheese looks unappetizing because the separation looks like the cheese is curdling. The broth is nice but not enough to offset the strange choice to call this dish a dumpling. It’s more like watery crumbly cheese. Not creative or daring. Safe choice to rely on the flavor of cheese. As for the star choices, Endive and black fried rice were fantastic. Amazing mix of flavors, well balanced. I would not assume it’s a Michelin star restaurant based on the B+ quality of service but I get how the service staff try hard to take their food and drinks seriously hence the standout dishes. It just doesn’t have the elegance or sophistication to reach for more. I would go back for the two dishes but maybe sit at a bar so I don’t need to awkwardly smile at mediocrity of service and attention.

A great dining experience. The food is all excellent and very well seasoned. (We almost found the chicory salad over-seasoned if anything). But otherwise everything was delicious. Highlights for us were the squid ink rice and the chocolate cake. The ricotta dumplings were also delicious. And the dishes were all unique.

Service was good. There's a nice vibe, small and intimate. And cocktails were great. Service was a bit slow on drinks.

Fantastic selection of wine, and great tasting cocktails. Food tastes better than it looks. We thought that lobster was on the small side but man, it was so rich in flavours - definitely try it.

Oysters were so fresh, my friend had ‘em all in a seating. The pannacotta with vinegar and honey was so interesting, didn’t look like much but every bite was infused with vanilla beans.

Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our visit to Estela. It’s a pretty small restaurant with very little space between tables. Acoustics are pretty bad, the place feels loud.
The savoury dishes were excellent, we particularly liked the endive salad. The chocolate dessert was on the heavy side.

En besvikelse. Extremt små portioner som var precis lagom vad smaken beträffar. Jag vet inte hur du misslyckas med att förbereda Wagyu nötkött men de gjorde. De flesta av mina hamnade i min servett. Det var oätligt. Också, med tanke på den värsta platsen i restaurangen (bredvid bensinstation och nära till badrum och kök) och bad att flyttas till tomt bord mittemot vår plats. De vägrade säga att just det bordet var upptaget. Okej. Jag brydde mig inte ens om att klaga på köttet efter det. Vi äter ute varje vecka i Detroit-området och även om Michelin-betyg inte ges till Detroit-områdets restauranger är många av våra restauranger långt överlägsna när det gäller matlagning, kreativitet, portionsstorlek och service. Gick till Aquavit (en annan NY Michelin stjärnmärkt restaurang) på vårt senaste besök i NYC och de gjorde ingen besviken. Vi förväntade oss felaktigt samma servicenivå och matberedning på Estela. Återigen verkar det som att denna restaurang rankas främst av att den är i New York snarare än att vara världsklass.

Var mycket mindre utrymme än jag förväntat mig, hade hört fantastiska recensioner från familj och press. Lammribben, stekt ris, sommar squash, nötkött tartare, etc. Allt trevligt och roligt, bara förvånade mig inte som jag hade hoppats.

Denna restaurang tjänar snabbt ett rykte i New York för exceptionell mat - och rykte är välförtjänt.
Det är en liten plats med en bar framtill och bord var som helst de passar.
Kvällen vi åkte var platsen fullsatt. Jag tror att det antagligen alltid är packat.

Ankan med aubergine och boudin noir var en rimlig storlek och rik, inte fett anka kött med en underbar sås.
Panacottaen presenterades i en skål och en generös servering och gigantiskt mjukt, sött och skonsamt.
Tjänsten var bra - det är en mycket upptagen plats. Viner i glaset var utmärkta.
Inte billig men verkligen värt ett besök.
Var medveten om att de debiterar $ 25 per person för mindre än 24 timmars avbokning. Lite hård med tanke på hur upptagen platsen är.

Jag hade middag idag med en kollega - mycket kreativa rätter i en ung, stimulerande miljö. Mycket bra vinlista, många tillgängliga som ett glas. Rekommenderad.

Det var en fantastisk upplevelse matsal på Estelas! Mat serveras i tapas-läge, vilket gör det möjligt att dela och prova många olika rätter.

Om jag hade mer tid skulle jag skriva mer på denna översyn, men lång historia kort, det var den mest minnesvärda måltid som jag hade i NY denna resa. Maten var så uppfinningsrik. Varje maträtt hade så stora texturer. Var snäll och fortsätt.

Trevlig restaurang med ganska små portioner av läckra rätter. Burata, musslor, lamm etc. 3 rätter är tillräckliga för 2 personer. Alla att dela. Även en "delning" kniv tillhandahölls. Bara men är att utrymmet är begränsat, så nästa bord är ganska nära. I själva verket föll någon på väg till ett nästa bord för att han inte såg violinen på golvet.

Först av allt, låt mig betona att maten är extremt läcker och driver gränser när det gäller smakprofiler. Men den här hip New York-restaurangen har ett extremt uppenbart stort chip på sin axel vad beträffar service, jag fick intrycket att jag störde personalen genom att vara i deras närvaro, ibland kände jag mig som att de förväntade mig att lägga palmer som de närmade sig bordet med min mat. Om du vill ha bra mat är denna plats perfekt men samtidigt om du vill spendera hundratals dollar för att känna att du stör dem med din närvaro. Stör inte.

Vi hade en fantastisk middag på Estela. Maten serveras alla i små tallrikar för att dela. Tjänsten var stor. De tillhandahöll rena tallrikar och bestick vid precis rätt tidpunkt. Våra vattenglasögon var alltid fulla. Såserna är fantastiska, särskilt såsen som följer med musslorna. Vi dränkade varje droppe med brödet. Varje maträtt vi hade var underbart. Jag rekommenderar starkt denna restaurang.

Servicen är mycket bra. Utrymme är lite trångt med hög musik och därmed mycket högljutt skrek konversationer. Maten är mycket intressant och mycket bra - små Hotel Nuevo Triunfo tallrikar var mestadels - för att dela. Lamm revben och ostron var den 2 helvilt.
