We had a great time enjoying happy hour at the bar. The food was delicious, especially the tostadas de crane - I could eat that over and over! We also tried the ceviche de atun from the regular menu, which ended up having more shrimp than tuna.

The happy hour drink options were decent, and I particularly enjoyed the frozen Rosalita. However, after having the Rosalita, mango margarita, and sangria, I ended up with a huge headache that night.

The restaurant itself was cozy, but the bar service was a bit slow. The bartender/server wasn't very helpful when we asked for recommendations. Despite this, I would definitely go back for the food.

Went to Fonda for first time with friends. It’s a nice place with seating in two floors as well as bar. They have great variety of Margaritas. We tried most of the margaritas. The food was delicious too but felt it was on a little pricey side as compared to other places in New York.

Sorry I wanted to like this place but it just wasn’t a good experience. Super slow service and it wasn’t even busy. Food portions are tiny. The food was good but nothing worth coming back to. Save your money and go elsewhere 🤷🏽‍♂️

An absolute gem in New York! The service and food were phenomenal. Fresh food. Everything we ate was incredible!
So much flavor in all the appetizers, entrees we tried! Our server did a wonderful job! Catered to all our needs, explained EVERY dish and recommended some awesome options!

HOT TIP: Happy Hour food ALL NIGHT at the bar on Monday’s! The happy hour food priced at $11/dish is delicious, portions are large, and service is pretty quick. Small restaurant but for a winter Monday night there was no wait to sit at the bar. Highly recommend this place! Simply excellent Mexican food and lots of veggie vegetarian options. Beef tostados had more beef than could be lifted by the chip - a great problem to have!

Beställde middag från Fonda genom doordash. Det som kom var den värsta guacamole någonsin. Otroligt - Det var ganska mögligt. Jag pratade med chefen som erbjöd en ersättare och sa "tyvärr kunde de inte leverera den". Han erbjöd då en full återbetalning som han ändrade till en partiell återbetalning som sedan ändrades till "Jag skulle behöva få återbetalningen från Doordash". Överraskning - doordash var ingen hjälp. 

Det var en 2 veckors period när han lovade att han skulle ta hand om det. Han skulle ta itu med Doordash. Det gjorde han aldrig. Jag kommer inte att återvända till Fonda eftersom detta var ett löjligt sätt att behandla en kund av en impotent och ineffektiv förvaltare.

Vi hade en stor fest på 10 och de rymde oss på övervåningen fint. Började med två dubbla beställningar av guacamole som var några av de bästa om hade. Jag fick dem att göra en mezcalita som gjordes perfekt som jag vill ha dem. Jag beställde en av specialiteterna , Carne Tampiqueña som var en kjolbiff tillagad perfekt med poblano, ost och en ostmole enchilada på sidan. Alla smaker i rätten var några av de bästa mexikanska mat jag ätit. Servitörerna tog hand om vår stora fest med stor uppmärksamhet på detaljer. Kommer definitivt att besöka igen när vi är tillbaka i NY.
