Having lived near a sizable Mexican community in Homestead, Florida, I can say that we are accustomed to authentic cuisine. The restaurant's ambiance is quite pleasant, and I really appreciate the location. It is relatively small and compact, which can give the impression of being more crowded than it actually is. We opted for some traditional Mexican dishes based on the patrons present, and while the flavors were quite good, they didn't fully match what we're used to. Nevertheless, we would recommend this place, so be sure to come by for an enjoyable atmosphere.

After calling to inquire about their Groupon, I spoke with Stephanie, who was truly a delight! Her energy was EVERYTHING—warm, welcoming, and instantly got us excited for our visit.

As a lifelong New Yorker, of course I knew of Gonzalez y Gonzalez, but it had been at least a decade since my last visit. Safe to say, this experience was a great reintroduction.

The Groupon was a fantastic deal, including a shared appetizer, two entrées each, one dessert, and four drinks—definitely bang for our buck! We started with the Mezcal Mussels, which came in a flavorful sauce with toasted bread (we immediately wanted more!). For entrées, we had the Chicken Chimichanga and Chuletas Al Pastor, both solid choices. And the churros? Unexpectedly AMAZING! Crispy, warm, and perfectly dusted with cinnamon sugar.

For drinks, I had the Spicy Jalapeño Margarita, while my partner went for the Mango Margarita—both hit the spot.

As self-proclaimed foodies, while this wasn’t the best Mexican food we’ve ever had, it was undeniably a solid choice for good eats, great value, and an even better vibe. The service was top-notch, with multiple staff members checking in on us from the moment we walked in. Our server, Carlos, was friendly, attentive, and had great recommendations, which really set the tone for a wonderful night.

We left just before the salsa dancing started, but it’s clearly a longstanding tradition and looks like a fun time—whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just there to enjoy the energy.

Overall, Gonzalez y Gonzalez delivers neighborhood vibes, solid food, and a memorable night out. We’d absolutely return (maybe for brunch next?!)—and you should too!

Came for dinner after watching NYU game and plus wifey loves Mexican food. Ordered a variety of things - MIL got steak tacos, wifey got a steak burrito, lil man got shrimp empanadas, and I got fried shrimp and calamari.  We also got chips and guacamole for the table.

Overall food was pretty good. Lil man didn’t like his shrimp empanadas though - he said too much vegetables and not enough shrimp. The burrito tasted fine. MIL liked her tacos. And the fried shrimp and calamari was lightly fried and tasted fine.

We were seated right away. Had to show ID at the front, which I have never done before anywhere else but was not bothered by it. Inside was dark. Hard to see the plates.

Service was good. The waiter made our guacamole table side and it tasted great. The only thing was we had to wait a bit for the waiter to come around to ask for the check. But then again there was maybe two servers working.

Overall a pleasant experience. We have not been here in years. And I’m glad that the place is still open.

I went here for a friends 21st-they let us decorate. Carlos was the best waiter, so kind and attentive and patient with us! Immediately went to talk to me and the other woman leading the surprise party. Will most definitely book again! Carlos is amazing: so fun! Amazing value for the price fix, I cannot be happier with this experience!

Mat och dryck, live salsa band, bartender och atmosfär var alla på punkt. Inga klagomål! Min syster och jag hade en mycket bra tid!

Som mexikan kan jag berätta att detta är en mycket bra mexikansk restaurang i NY! Maten är riktigt god och det har en mycket trevlig atmosfär, med latinsk musik som bara spelas på rätt nivå för att låta dig äta och prata. Bra service också och priserna är rätt.

Utsökt mat och rolig atmosfär! Skulle definitivt gå tillbaka med vänner och dansa. Servicen var stor och vänlig och platsen var massor av roligt

Vilken godbit vi åkte till Gonzalezy y Gonzalez för att fira min bästväns födelsedag, vi har inte varit där på flera år. Nåväl har inget förändrat dj fortsätter spela sylt efter sylt. Vi dansade tills våra fattiga fötter verkade. Publikens vibe brann fram till stängningstid! Bartendern var en älskling och gjorde våra cocktails till perfektion. Det var en natt att komma ihåg.

PS Ladies Room Attendant är fantastiskt att hon höll linjerna rörliga utan att hoppa över en takt. Vi väntade inte längre än 2 minuter i rad. Hon hade också allt tänkbart för att fräscha dig upp.

Ingen väntan i långa rader, bra musik, också ett bra liveband när jag besökte. Och en massa dans?

Om du kommer super tidigt för salsakurser kommer du att plågas av den skrikande läraren med en hög piercing röst som helt klart inte behöver en mikrofon. Varför de inte någonsin har vänt på min mikrofon är bortom mig. Det gör ont i boken för att höra i instruktioner! BAJA SU MICROF NO, rapido porfa!

De flesta människor kan inte komma i tid och betalar $ 10 inträde, $ 4 kappa checka, $ 3 vatten och mer för drycker.

Mycket trånga helger, och om du är en lång tjej, undvik klackar eller du har inte många killar att dansa med!

G & G har alltid varit min gå att upptäcka för en bra drink med bra vibbar jag har kommit hit eftersom den var belägen på Broadway. Mat och dryck slog verkligen platsen och personalen är super vänlig.

Denna kubanska restaurangen är undanstoppad under byggnadsställningen på Mercer Street, en gång inuti Gauganesque målningar slår du omedelbart. Ätaområdet är roped och på natten jag gick de hade försökt passa så många tales som möjligt. Servitören berättade för mig att det var en två timmars gräns, så det är en ät och kör, inte en njut av natten bort snäll av platsen. Maten var bra, räkorna var färskt och hade några härliga Central American kryddor och smak. Servitören tjänsten var långsam, och inte särskilt uppmärksam. Jag hittade dryckerna dyra, men då var det jämförbart med byn.

Kom in på en lördagskväll till en väns födelsedagsmiddag. Jag beställde
Full House Salad (isberg, mesclun, romaine, tomater, röda lökar, röda paprikor, rädisa, queso fresco, färsk majs, citronolje dressing, avokado skivor) och tillsatte kjolbiffen. Åtminstone det är vad menyn sa till mig att jag tillade. I verkligheten var det inte kjolbiff, men någon annan skära. Ändå var det inte dåligt men hur bra kunde en sallad vara?

Tjänsten var lite långsam - de glömde mina vänner stek tacos, som inte kom ut tills alla var färdiga att äta och hon hade redan fyllt på aptitretare och bites av andra folks entrees. Åtminstone tog de av räkningen, antar jag?

De har happy hour till 8 på en lördag, men dryckesvalen är begränsade och de är inte så bra. Jag beställde lite blå cocktail som var alltför sött. Så jag valde en mojito nästa (inte HH) men de tog ut en margarita. Vi berättade för dem om blandningen och när de äntligen tog fram mojitoen var det bara rent socker.

Jag tror inte att jag kan prata om maten, eftersom jag bara åt kaninmat den natten, men det finns definitivt TONS av andra mexikanska fläckar i staden med bättre drycker / service.

För de av er som letar efter något som liknar Gonzalez och Gonzalez på NYNY Las Vegas; det här är inte det. Trots att konceptet startade i SOHO och var en bra restaurang, har den stängt och öppnats till stor del som en bar. Så länge du vet det här är en bar / klubbstämning och aktivitet, kommer du att bli bra. På söndag gör de en Bachata Brunch som är en latinsk dans som är oerhört roligt att titta på och att lära sig om du är modig. Ge det ett försök, men gå inte för maten.

Vänligen gå inte till denna plats! ! ! Jag gick för att fira min väns födelsedag och slutade som en natthoppare, vi var där och försökte ha solsken, oavsiktligt föll en krok på en av stolarna och hostade i brand, vi flyttade bara för att låta säkerheten ta hand om det används alla dricker för att sätta elden när vi frågar skulle hända vi våra drycker de började trycka oss utanför 2 av mina vänner slog på riktigt dålig ambulans och poliser kom de ljög till polisen och vi kunde inte trycka anklagelser mot dem, men Den mest smärtsamma delen är att som 10 säkerhet slår en kvinna så illa att hon måste bli sjukhus?

Det här stället serverar fantastisk mexikansk mat och efter middagen, har levande salsa band på Latin natt, och du kan dansa hela natten bort, bränna kalorier.
