It’s a hole in the wall like place, not the prettiest interior to dine in, got few chairs and tables, small space, but their tacos are so incredibly good. Friendly lady and the chef serving everyone. I ordered the beef and chicken tacos. Got flat price for paying cash. Both beef and chickens were cooked in the grill right in front of me, as well as tacos were prepared and packed. There was green chili sauce on each of them.

Each taco had two wraps. Huge in size, full of meat. I was three but was already full eating just two. Also got the flan, that had beautiful texture, fluffy and fresh. It wasn’t too sweet. Was a delicious treat after the tacos.

I ordered the Carne Asada (Grilled Beef) Burrito.

You definitely get your money’s worth. As in, you get a whole bunch of the chosen protein, beans, and rice.

However, that’s also why I left off one star. There was only beans and rice (and a whole lot of it) in addition to the protein. And I don’t mind when a food is basic and just does what it’s suppose to do, but there was a lot of rice and beans, and the rice and beans were extremely bland. And that was the pain point. The rice was just not it.

The steak though was abundant and flavorful!

Not sure how you can rate this restaurant less than 5 stars. I just moved to the city, and for a quick eat to go, this place is out of this world! Chicken is super tender and full of flavor. If you are looking for a fine dining with ambiance to wow your date, this isn't the place. You want delicious food to go, 100% recommend.

I've ate here several times. Food is always delicious! Hard to find authentic Mexican food in NYC , glad I found this little dive. My go to for posole. It's the bomb!

The food here at this modest family business is always yummy! I have been coming here for years. I got 3 birria tacos with consumé for $18 and ¡qué rico! Máximo's (the friendly chef) wife makes birria a lil different. I couldn't tell what was the magical ingredient that made a party in my mouth. Lol
