We love the Hotel Scherman. Great location. It's a cozy getaway for families and lovers. It's walking distance to great entertainment and plenty of places to eat on 8th and 9th Ave.

The staff are always very friendly and attentive. It can be a bit noisy during the day, but we sleep very well at night. This is one of very few spots that have a kitchenette with a sink. Mini fridge microwave and a hotplate! That goes a long way If you love to sleep in our call it an early night.

The continental breakfast isn't the best, but it's enough to get you started. The bagels were stale, ugh.
That being said, The Scherman is still one of my favorite places to stay in Manhatten, and we will be returning in the near future.

The location is absolutely unbeatable—right in the middle of Restaurant Row, just a five-minute walk from the dazzling lights of Times Square, and within a 20-minute stroll to both Central Park and Hudson Yards. Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, everything you need is just steps away.

The hotel itself is impeccably clean and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The rooms are impressively spacious, a rare find in NYC, and come equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a coffee maker, mini fridge, and sink. Plus, the included breakfast is a fantastic perk to start the day on the right foot.

One of the highlights of our stay was the bar downstairs, which features live music at night—such a great touch for winding down after a day of exploring the city. But above all, what truly sets Hotel Sherman apart is its outstanding staff. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly courteous and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay.

If you’re looking for a well-located, comfortable, and welcoming hotel in Midtown Manhattan, look no further than Hotel Sherman. We can’t wait to return!

Hotel Scherman is the only hotel I would ever stay again in NYC. This incredible oasis is a family owned and locally run establishment that goes above and beyond. Me and my husband we greeted with such kindness and I cried when I saw how beautiful our room was. We celebrated our honeymoon here and the stay prepared our room with such detail. I was blown away by the attention to details even at breakfast which was absolutely delicious. There were varieties of breads, jams, fruit, yogurt, cereals, oatmeal’s, muffins, nuts, and delicious type of tea and coffee and milk variations. The sitting room for breakfast was so calm and beautiful. The bar that’s below will leave you speechless with its light fixtures and gas lamps. It’s just a stunning experience being able to share a few wonderful days at this amazing hotel. I will recommend it to friends, family, and anyone traveling to NYC. Thank you Hotel Scherman for an experience me and my husband Viktor will never forget. Also shout out to the hotel staff and cleaning crew, you all are exceptional and such kind individuals, thank you all♥️

Although we only stayed one night, we loved everything! Staff was wicked friendly & helpful. Our room was incredible & the bed/pillows were extremely comfortable! I had a great night's sleep. Good water pressure. The breakfast mezzanine was nice. I'm gluten free and had extremely limited options, so that's the one area they could improve. Next time I visit NYC I will stay here.

I recently stayed here for 3 days and it was AMAZING. Location is perfect, really close to the main streets of Time Square and subway locations. Our room was very clean and cozy. Breakfast was included and, although is very simple, it was nice and fulfilling. If I ever comeback to New York, I'll definitely be staying here again. Thank you, Hotel Scherman!!
