Amazing! We always have a great time here! The DJ is popping, the wings are tasty and cooked well, and the service is on point. I love it. The staff are respectful and thorough and the set up is great. Nice sized dance floor too.

On A Positive Note: The DJ played a great selection.

I went here to help celebrate a friend’s birthday. I arrived at 5:00 p.m., to be kept waiting in line for 20 minutes. I heard multiple “ give me two minutes” announcements. While in line a guy insisted on scanning my drivers license??? 👀 I purposely carried a passport. WHY do you need to scan a drivers license for entry? WHY do people tolerate this?🤷‍♀️

Thereafter, Mr. Two Minutes wants to force you to check your coat for a fee.🤦🏽‍♀️ Hustler!! If you decide to go to this place SKIP the second floor and go straight to the party.

The two for one drinks were a joke- spiked water.🤢.    I rather pay full price for a real drink. Not to mention the female bartender at the first bar on her cellphone.👀 I had to ask her if the bar was open. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Maybe she served us water because she hadn’t opened the alcohol yet.🤷‍♀️

I didn’t bother to order food given the bad bar service. I decided to stop at City Island on my way back home.

The Verdict: I have no desire to travel to NYC for this experience again. A hard pass for me!!

Aquarians...come in out of the cold! With the hottest DJ's on Friday nights in NYC, the Inkwell never disappoints when celebrating our birthdays! Again, this year, my annual "Inkwell" birthday celebration was one for the records. With drink specials, bottle service, cupcakes and the best wings and view on the West side of NY, my family, friends and I had a night to remember! When the lights are turned on, the DJ is still playing with his coat on and you're the last one on the elevator down, the only thing you'll want is another hour. Thanks again Inkwell, for the longest running and best "Grown and Sexy" Friday's in NYC. See you again soon!

Inkwell thank you for an awesome 52nd birthday celebration with my mom who’s 75, son 21, daughters 27 & 32, my husband and sisters…My husband and I danced all night the DJ played music for everyone and everyone had an amazing time.  The wings, empanadas and fries were good although they were a lil skimpy on the fries for $13.  Before I had the chance to say something to the host my family already had their hands in them…LOL, Great Night and Thank You again INKWELL for my tiara and shining the light on me….we will definitely be back per the family 🎊🎉🎂🥳🎈🍾🎁❤️🙏🏾

We paid over $100 each to see Donell Jones via Ticketmaster.  Ticketmaster sells tickets to real shows/ concerts so we never knew this was a club that happened to have an artist coming for a few minutes.  That should have been explicitly stated to manage expectations and avoid disappointment.  We read reviews the night before so we knew what to expect and by then it was too late to back out.

We paid for a table but there was no table service.  There was a number to text to get food, which we did but after an hour got nothing.  Asked a passing employee where to order and she mumbled something and walked off.  Example prices:  Fries were $10, chicken fingers $20, three empanadas were $27!?  Crazy expensive empanadas. We never got our food so I can’t even comment on the quality.  A drink at the bar was a 30 min wait since there were only two bartenders and drinks cost $16 each.  To be fair it was a decent pour.  But you definitely should double fist to avoid having to get on that line again.

We got there early and vibes were fine, DJ playing our hits.  Unfortunately the DJ was better than the show itself.  Donell Jones was due to come out at 9, came out at 9:25 and did three of his hits.  He then decided to tack on another song and did part of it acapella.  He was about to end it right there and decided to do another song but there was no set list and DJ wasn’t ready for it so Donell got mad and walked off.  Everyone in the crowd looked confused and annoyed.  Thanks for a whole 20 minutes of chaos.  From a previous review it sounds like this is the norm.   Disappointing and a ripoff.  This really should have been advertised as a club cuz not everyone is familiar with Inkwell’s events.  And again this was not explicitly stated on Ticketmaster.  It also should have been labeled as a Grown Folks Friday event with a guest appearance by Donell Jones and maybe you’ll get fewer complaints cuz this definitely did not count as a show.

I recommend checking out Donell Jones' reviews on Ticketmaster also... apparently this isn't new.  Which is really, really unfortunate.  :(
