My family and I were really excited to try and yes, it was a good pizza restaurant with a standard menu.
Staff were nice and they have their line-up rules clear: ❕you sit when everyone arrives.

Pizza was thin crust, crispy and not greasy! The classic flavor was good, not too strong or oily, but olives we added were pretty salty.

Rice balls were crunchy with melting mozzarella cheese in the middle.

💚🍝Spinach ricotta raviolis were thick-filling. I’m not a ravioli person but I think their raviolis were good and worth the price. The sauce was average.

Meat balls were slightly dry. The texture was on the solid side.

By far the best pizza we have ever had. Grew up in upstate NY so the pizza was always good, tried pizza all over the country and multiple times around Italy (which was the best) before finally making it to John’s. Absolutely blown away, the sauce is the best tasting sauce I’ve ever had. Surprisingly we got right in at a table even with a decent size line. If you’re in NYC it is definitely worth the hype and the wait. Highly recommended.

Johns of Bleecker Street is a very quaint spot where a lot of famous individuals have tried pizza in New York City to our surprise. It’s probably one of the best if not THE best clay oven Pizza joints in NYC! If it’s good enough for celebrities, it’s good enough for me to try and I’m glad we did. Give them a shot if you’re into town for your next trip to NYC!

Visited twice in a week it was so good.  Classic New York slice, charming restaurant with great service.  The best pizza in NYC?  Maybe, maybe not, but definitely the best overall pizza experience.

I did a lot of research about NYC pizza before going to NYC. I was seeking out the best.  John’s on Bleaker kept coming up. I am not super familiar with the NYC subway system but I was determined. I was staying at Hilton Garden Inn New York/West 35th Street. I asked they employee at the door if they sold the pizza by the slice but they do not. That is important because while I sat waiting for my pizza multiple other people came by asking the same thing. A lot of people did the same research and wanted to try this “famous” pizza. My honest opinion. It was pizza. There was nothing that made it any better than other “good” pizza I have eaten before. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it again.
