One of the best galleries of India art in New York and probably in America.  Beautifully executed art books from a 5,000 year-old culture.  Walking through is like going to India without physically being there and the photographs make you want to travel there.  Lots of nicely brightly lit open airy space.  Walking through is a great stress reducer and gently enlightens one to a more soulful meditative vibe.  Always a nice experience.

Sanjay Kapoor is first and foremost is an academic, with an unprecedent knowledge of ancient Hindu and Buddhist art.  His breadth of knowledge is unparalleled as a dealer, and matched, if not better, than many museum curators.

Sanjay also has a unique ability to thoroughly (and patiently) describe each artwork's aesthetic value, as well as its historical and religious context, weaving this information in a very compelling way.

His collection contains important, rare, and sought-after Asian Art pieces from over the centuries. It is of little wonder that many of his clients are top museums from around the world.

My wife and I have had the privilege to purchase from him, and the prices offered have been fair.  As avid collectors, we would highly recommend Kapoor galleries without reservation.
