It’s a lovely place with amazing lighting and a gorgeous combination wood and dark teal walls (even the bathroom was gorgeous)
The staff were chill and nice, not pretentious or anything, and I really appreciated the coat check-in service!
The food was really good, not exceptional (to me! My partner loved most of the dishes tho, in particular the scotch eggs), I found the uni to have a strong smell and the lemon toast under it to be a bit chewy rather than crunchy.
But I specifically enjoyed the mushroom dish a lot! However, everything was on a salty side. The dessert was amazing tho, so so so good! And the drinks were really good too.
Overall, it was a nice experience, but I have other places before Lord’s to go back to

British gastropub cuisine done really well. I loved their toast options including the crab and quail options. Scotch egg is a classic done well. Had the pie cos that’s British and would still recommend it but I had my eye on all the steaks coming out to other tables so may swap my main the next time. Service is attentive and friendly!

I had a great meal here. The scotch egg was seasoned well and had the perfect texture. The quail on toast was a nice follow-up - though served in sauce, the toast stays super crispy. We split the duck pie, and both the pastry and filling were excellent. The British chips were a real standout surprisingly - definitely wouldn't miss them. We didn’t bother trying for the burger, as they only make twelve a night and we had a later reservation. You almost surely need to be seated right when they open to have a chance at getting one. Maybe next time.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of their desserts, they all seemed really enticing but we went with the blueberry crumble and did not regret it. I loved all the cocktails we tried as well, the fig leaf martini was my favorite and it deserves its reputation.

The service was quick and friendly, and I really liked the candlelit-cavern vibe of the place. Highly recommend!

Lord’s in Lower Manhattan is a fantastic spot for British-inspired cuisine! The lamb Scotch egg with the tzatziki-like sauce was the absolute star of the night—an easy 10/10. The hamburger was really good too, with a fluffy, buttery bun, though it didn’t quite make my top five (maybe because I’m not a fan of raw onions). The salads were fresh and flavorful, and the staff was super friendly, making the whole experience even better. Definitely worth a visit!

One of my favorite places in NYC. It’s rare for people to rave about British food, but they know what they are doing. Don’t skip on their salad, it’s the type of thing you don’t want to order because the Scottish egg, the rarebit, the quail, the burger are all competing, but just add it. Great somm too. Cool vibe and decor. I can’t wait to go back.
