This was the best meal I had in New York. Probably the best Thai meal I’ve ever had. Service was great and very quick. Food was delicious. I highly recommend the crispy pork in garlic (order spicy) you won’t regret it. The Thai iced tea was out of this world as well. Great overall experience and atmosphere.

Would 100% recommend if you are in the area! Such great and unique thai dishes. They had your classics (like the chicken pad thai) but also had some fun dishes like the crab fried rice pictured below. We started with cocktails (the moscow mules and margs) which were excellent! And then for an appetizer we got the shrimp and pork steamed dumplings. A bit bummed they came with 5 and not 6 so we could split them evenly, but they were very tasty. We also got the crispy pork belly which had a delicious basil sauce.

Service was good, vibes were good. Would come back again.

They offer free Thai tea if you write some reviews in Google, therefore they had a lots of 5 stars? :)
The foods were normal, tom yum was too sour. Big portion. Staff served quickly. There were a lot of young people, cozy but much noisy. You should get reservation. We arrived at 7.30pm and had to wait 30 minutes because of we did not take reservation.
PS: i wrote reviews and showed them but they forgot to free our Thai teas. However it was not a big problem :)

Excellent food, quick and friendly service, nice atmosphere!

We stopped by Malii Gramercy for an early dinner in September 2024. I spent some time choosing a good Thai restaurant in the area based on reviews, menu selections, and interior. Malii Gramercy turned out to a great choice! All food we ordered was delicious, flavorful, and nicely presented. The portions very generous. The decor and ambience were pleasant and vibrant. Service was friendly and quick but the timing of the dishes could be better. Perhaps need to ask for this explicitly. The soups came when we just started on appetizers and the entrees came while we were still on soups and appetizers.

We highly recommend Malii Gramercy if you are in the area and looking for an excellent Thai restaurant!

Duck Buns - duck was tender and flavorful.
Roti Massamun - fresh warm roti was one of the best I had. Chicken massamun sauce with peanuts was delicious and perfectly fit the roti.
Tom Kha with Chicken - rich and loaded with chicken. Not spicy at all but I got chili on the side and quickly made it to my taste.

Entrees
Thai Herbs Ribs - very generous portion, tasty, and flavorful.
Pad Thai Boran - excellent and nicely presented.
Lychee Duck Curry - delicious and huge! The menu says "half duck" and they mean it! It's a lot of duck to eat but it was so good I made it, though had doubts initially :) The sauce was loaded with eggplants, peppers, pineapple, lychees. It was great but with the amount of duck and other stuff they could put more sauce itself. I kind of missed it a bit :) Also, eggplant pieces were full of seeds. Maybe it was some special sort of eggplant but imo it wasn't the best.

Drinks
Lychee Martini - this one was good.
Malii Mule - this tasted like just a lemon soda with no alcohol. Certainly not worth $15. Pass on this one.

Malii Gramercy feels like an actual Gem find. I chose this place to try because of restaurant week 2024 and needless to say, I will be coming back here in my own time.
It is located in the heart of gramercy and close to stuy town.
The inside felt modern-rustic and the outside of the building looked minimalistic and unsuspecting.
The waitress sat us down immediately. I went at exactly 11:30AM so they were still setting up, but some of party was late anyways so she gave us some time while preparing the area.
The furniture inside were clean and well-maintained.
The food, was fire (I have no other words to describe it in taste and physical feeling)
It had a nice kick to it. They have a huge selection for restaurant week 2024 and it was all $30 per person for lunch. With tip and tax, it came to about $40 per person.

I got the lime fried chicken and the ribs. I would 100% recommend this place to my friends and families.

**note it was too cold inside, the NYC weather was hovering around 75F at the time and people were wearing shorts and they had the AC blasting. They were kind of enough to turn it off when I had asked them to.
