Ordered a pie from here and it was so good! We got the house pie. I usually don’t like crust but this crust was so crunchy as was the dough. It was also soft at the same time. Perfect amount of cheese and sauce. I love all the extra basil they put. We did it for take out and the pie was still hot despite the walk. Delicious pie

The puzzas have a good flavor and I like that the crust is kind of crispy. My favorites are the 4 cheese ones. The pepperoni and poached pear ones would be on my top list of best pizza flavors. They don't have a place to sit, which makes it difficult to eat. Your options are to take it home or eat standing up, which I find uncomfortable. The prices seem a little high to me. The line moves quickly and the pizza comes out hot.

Excellent square slice. I tried the pep, upside down, and vodka slices all were very delicious.

Decent, but overrated pizza. Not worth making a trip unless you have the time to wait on line and the staff is rude as hell.

FOOD: Serves a variety of square slices and *occasionally* sandwiches (FYI: these are only made on 2 random week days at specific locations). I ordered an Angry Nonna, a pepperoni, a poached pear, and a vodka slice. All were decent and crispy, but honestly - nothing special. If you want a GREAT slice in Manhattan try Prince Street Pizza or Joe’s Pizza instead!

SERVICE: This spot was run by a bunch of teens who showed that they could care less about being there. Normally I don’t care too much about that, but it was blatant “idgaf” culture there. Cashier was mostly on her phone while facing customers, rude when asked any questions about the slices and busy joking around with her co workers the whole time.

AMBIANCE: This spot is designed sort of like a pop-up/ pick up and go kind of spot. You will have to wait on a long 15 min+ line before ordering, then wait another 10-15 after for your food. There are 2 benches you can sit at outside, but they fill up quickly. No inside dining option as a heads up.

OVERALL: Go early during the day in the week to try if you’re really curious, but this pizza chain seems like one that mostly relies on influencers to advertise and make them trend/build hype. Slices are nice and flavorful but definitely not worth the hype.

There’s nothing like Mama’s Too’s Pizza. I read other reviews, and it’s sad some don’t like the place since they commuted and didn’t get what they wanted. I’ve been here more than 10 times now. I may be biased since I live across the street, but man, you have to try the different square slices. When the weather is good, they will have tables out front and serve you your slices on a tray. Usually, there is a line, and of course, lines bother some people, but it is worth it. I’ve been when there is a line and when there is no line at all. I love taking it home or eating it on a bench nearby or by the river. I’m a meaty kind of guy and love the buffalo chicken slice. Just one will fill you up. What some people don’t understand is how good the cheesy sauce is on top of the pizza, no matter whatever topping it is on. Then, the inside is soft and chewy, and then the best part is the crunchy bottom of the pizza. I haven’t read anyone describe it this way, but that’s what I adore about their pizzas! Go try it, and try it again, and again! It is one of the best pizza places. There are many in NYC, but this is definitely one of them.
