Wanted to try steak in New York for the first time. Came in here around 2pm from a layover. The place was very elegant and classy. First time ever trying a pretzel bread. That was fantastic. Food was great. Had the 8oz but was too much for me. Portions of the sides were huge too. Definitely worth trying.

I’m always skeptical trying a new place, but I must say the food was amazing the service was great and the live music wasn’t too loud and the guy can singggg. Shout out to our server SASSY Rachel lol she’s amazing. And thank you to Daisy the manager for checking in and ensuring our dining experience was a 10/10. Highly recommend this place. And the price was not bad for 6 ppl.

We came in early at around 17h30, we thought we would strike  out as we did not have a reservation, it was a spur of the moment thing, we used Google Maps and did best Steak house Manhattan Area and it came up with a few others. we got a table downstairs where we thought we would be next to the dishwashers....lol Not the case, beautiful space and quiet when comparing to upstairs, beautiful bar and overall atmosphere, never knew you were in a basement if you did not go down the stairs.
Food was great but service was better, I don't think we give them enough props when staff makes the whole experience with a great menu read and explanations, we love that, you get to order things that might fly under the radar. Great team work, always someone checking up on you.
Food, The rack of lamb was the best I've ever had, we do lot's of restaurants....lots of them and lamb is often ordered and this one was from New Zealand, medium was perfect as you can tell by the pictures, lots of meat, very little fat and tender oh my god !!! I'm from Lavaltrie Quebec, that's 1400 km round road trip and I would go back for it !!  Broccolini and asparagus on point, well grilled, filet mignon too, perfect medium. Drinks were plenty, they bring the mixer to the table, you get the pleasure to poor the last drop yourself. No room for dessert.

I love the vibe of the steakhouse. The atmosphere is spacious for New York and beautiful. The service could be better but the presentation and food are amazing. We can’t wait to come back next time we’re in New York.

I came early on a Monday. So it wasn't busy for both of those reasons.  But there was still lovely LIVE music.
Started with the bread selection, which is optional for a modest $5.  There were 4 different choices in the basket, my favorite of which was some type of pumpernickel that was outstanding.  Also in the basket? a homemade soft pretzel log, a garlic bread crisp, and a normal dinner roll.
For my salad I chose the Chopped Wedge, which is exactly what it sounds like, a wedge salad but not in wedge form!  Plentiful, actually abundant bacon, chunky and creamy blue cheese, and even added some hardboiled egg, which I appreciated.
Filet was great and I accompanied that with a single portion (which they did without hesitation) of the scalloped potatoes.  They were outstanding.   The 6oz filet looked diminutive on the oversize plate, but it was plenty for me.
By the time I ordered dessert, the bar was completely packed and the dining room was filling upstairs and down.
Dramatic presentation of the shrimp cocktail ordered all around me.  Comes out "smoking" with the help of a little dry ice magic.
Key Lime pie, clearly homemade with a Graham cracker crust hand pressed into the edges so it was so thick you almost needed a knife to cut it (that's a good thing!).  It was delicious, and the pie itself with the real shacken, aerated whipped cream on top was dangerously decadent.
Did not have any alcoholic beverages (just a ginger ale which in and of itself was a fancy glass bottle,  not from the soda gun) but the drink menu was expansive as was the wine selection.

There are tables available right AT the window, at street level, looking onto 52nd. I do wonder if there is an al fresco option in the warmer months?

A word about the bathroom, which I will say first, was immediately attended to upon my informing them that someone had left the bathroom looking worse than a Subway lavatory. It was like something out of FearFactor.   I can only hope it was cleaned and rectified immediately.  But it was not a good look right before I ate.  Turned my stomach a bit.
That notwithstanding,  I would 100%come back and bring friends next time.

I Manhattan är Maestro's Steakhouse en fin restaurang som är fint undangömd. Ribbeye var mör och smakrik. Deras handgjorda cocktails och föredragna vinlista kompletterar varandra väl. Vi vill uttrycka vår tacksamhet till vår server Ronnie och den nyanställde assisterande ledningen (ung dam med flätor) .

Ingen huvtröja tillåten. Vad? Jag hade den inte på mig. Inte särskilt välkommen från början. Annars - bartender förstod oss och var snäll, men...

Medan maten är god, alltför ofta, restaurangen sitter på en leveransorder för en halvtimme till en timme sedan avbryter. Du är kvar med en förlorad timme och tillbaka i början, söker efter en steakhouse om en fortfarande är öppen medan du svälter. Mycket opålitlig restaurang och inte bättre än de pålitliga alternativen i midtown.

Föda ( 3 / 5 ) : Rödingen på min biff var utmärkt, men den blev mer medium än medium - rare beställde jag. Inte illa nog att återvända, men definitivt under Mastros standard. Sushin var dock platt - helt fruktansvärt - jag skulle starkt föreslå att ingen beställer den. 
Service ( 1/ 5 ) : Tyvärr var detta den svagaste delen av upplevelsen. Vår server, Julian, hade lite av en attityd och gjorde inte mycket av en ansträngning för att tillmötesgå oss. Restaurangen var väldigt högljudd, men istället för att justera för det, fann jag mig faktiskt stå upp för att förstå vad han sa. Dessutom var min gaffel smutsig när den dukades på bordet — inte vad jag förväntade mig av en restaurang på den här nivån. Den enda ljusa punkten var klocka personal, som var utmärkt och slutade ge mer uppmärksam Service än Julian. 
Atmosfär: Typiskt Mastro utseende och känsla, men borden var tätt packade och ljudnivån var så hög att vi var tvungna att höja våra röster för att prata. 
Totalt: Biffen hade god smak, men mellan den nedslående sushin, subpar Service (smutsiga bestick ingår) och en trång, alltför högljudd atmosfär, denna plats ligger långt ifrån andra Mastro’s jag har besökt.

Vi har varit på Mastro’s många gånger i Newport Beach och ett par gånger i New York. Idag har vi haft juldagen i New York restaurangen och för att vara ärlig servicen var fruktansvärd. Greg manager tyckte att det var OK att cirkla bordet för att få oss att flytta (trots att fortsätta att klocka upp över $ 3200 ) och när han frågades han erkände att han ville bli av med oss och för att göra saker värre han försvarade sina servitörer i hemlighet ta 3/4 av en flaska champagne och 1/3 av Paul Hobbs Chardonnay bort för att knuffa oss från bordet. När de frågades de tog tillbaka det direkt (personalen visste exakt när de frågades). Greg sa att han inte hade något att be om ursäkt för, ville ha tillbaka bordet och bara gick därifrån utan vidare diskussion. Jag har spenderat så lång tid med att positivt prata om detta märke och nu hittar jag en kultur som är så väldigt dålig. De har förlorat en sådan lojal kund och det är ingen tvekan om att det inte kommer att spela någon roll. Sorgligt! ! ! ! !

Jag gjorde misstaget att gå hit bara halvhungrig. Faktum är att jag beställde 6 pz petit filet. Biffen var utmärkt! Mitt problem var salladen och tillbehören. Vi tre beställde en klyftsallad att dela på. Vi borde ha delat det med nästa bord. Denna sak var enorm och måste ha haft 1/2 bacon på den! Och vår mac och ost! Även med servitören skopade ut en generös portion för var och en av oss, det fanns mer än en halv rätt kvar! Och desserten! Smörkakan liknade inte på något sätt en skiva - det var en komplett kaka med en jätteskopa om glass på och en hel separat skål med vispad grädde! 

Jag ber dig - om du gör här, svält dig själv i 3 dagar innan annars kommer du aldrig att avsluta portionerna! 

Tillsammans med den fantastiska pianospelaren och oklanderlig service, är det här stället en femstjärnig restaurang!

Vi besökte här för en tidig födelsedagsmåltid för min fru. Familjen är Steak fans så var ett självklart val. Servicen var utmärkt, drycker var härlig och köttbullar och Calamari staters weee fantastisk. Sen kom filébiffarna och det var speciella... goda tillbehör också med pommes frites och gräddad majs... allt som allt en mycket trevlig måltid. Priset är på den högre sidan, men värt det för maten och servicen.

Service: var bra, vår servitris var artig och kunnig. Kom till bordet ofta och när något behövde bytas ut var det snabbt
Mat: Jag hade en för dyr Ribeye med benet. När det kom fram såg det ut som en 12 oz skrumpnad utsliten köttbit. För kostnaden, alldeles för mycket fett. Sidorna var hyfsade, hade vitlökspotatis och sauterad Spenat. 
Klädkod: Från deras hemsida vill de att du ska tro att de har en klädkod. Medan jag var där släppte de in allt de sa att de inte skulle tolerera. Det kanske låter snobbigt, men när man tar sig tid att klä sig enligt deras krav och det är 95 grader ute hade jag gärna haft shorts som de andra mecenater. 

Stjärnorna de får för min recension är strikt för tjänsten. Jag kommer inte att gå till denna plats igen.

Min fru och jag besökte NYC för Thanksgiving för att fira vårt 25: e bröllopsdag. Vi bokade på Mastro's för söndag kväll innan vi skulle se Christmas Spectacular i Radio City. Vi hälsades snabbt och visades vid ett bord direkt. En av de första frågorna som vår server ställde var om vi skulle på en show så att han kunde se till att vi var ute i tid. Från det allra första intrycket tills vi gick ut var upplevelsen perfekt! Maten var spektakulär; hon hade fileten och jag hade lax. Vi delade mac & ost och avslutade måltiden med deras berömda smörkaka, som du måste äta när du äter där! De förde till och med oss en fin bit chokladkaka till vårt årsdag, som de boxade upp för oss. Musiken var utmärkt och vi ansåg inte att den var för hög som vissa har kommenterat. När vi tittar tillbaka på vår resa var detta vår favoritmåltid! Bra gjort, Mastro!

Vi hade en fantastisk upplevelse här. Min svägerska och hennes man behövde ta flyg efter middagen och vi bad om en supersnabb service. Det var supersnabbt och samtidigt hade vi tillräckligt med tid att njuta av maten. Varje maträtt var tillagad till perfektion och varje person som serverade oss var super trevlig. New York har gott om stekhus. Mastro's är definitivt en av de bästa. Vi kommer definitivt tillbaka hit.

Vi har varit stora fans av Mastro sedan vi försökte en i Old Town Scottsdale för över 10 år sedan. Med alla high end biffhus på Manhattan är det alltid tufft att ha en favorit men Mastro's har blivit en av våra favoriter sedan öppningen i Manhattan. Tjänsten är alltid topp och vår server Aaron besviken inte den här gången. Dryckerna, med kvinnorna som dricker Cosmos, var läckra som alltid. För aptitretare beställde vi båda alternativen tonfisk och jag måste säga att den skurna tonfisken var en av de bästa bitarna av tonfisk som jag någonsin har haft. Våra biffar, Ribeye, Filet Mignon och Chateaubriand, tillagades alla till perfektion. Sidorna svika aldrig men inget är bättre än efterrätten, den fantastiska smörkakan.

Låt mig börja med att säga att Mastro's har varit min familjs favoritrestaurang i NYC i flera år! Vi firade många milstolpar på denna restaurang och åtnjöt det grundligt i PAST.

Jag har haft två dåliga upplevelser rygg mot rygg nu och jag är inte säker på att jag är redo att prova det snart igen. Den sista upplevelsen var så dålig med sex personer vid middagen att jag skrev ett e-postmeddelande till chefen. Jag tänkte att jag artigt skulle låta dem få veta att tjänsten var långt ifrån normen och aldrig hört tillbaka från någon. Besökte igen den senaste lördagskvällen bara för att ha en servitris som kunde bry sig mindre om att vi var där (vi satt i barområdet). Hon gav knappt uppmärksamhet åt oss. Vi var tvungna att be om bröd FIR gånger och hon tog det efter att vår middag hade serverats och avslutats. . . Hon berättade för oss att hon inte kunde fylla en av dryckesförfrågningarna eftersom de inte hade någon av ingredienserna och fortsatte att ta med alla andras drink och kom sedan tillbaka efter 15 minuter eller mer för att se vad den gästen valde i stället för första drinken.

Jag vet ärligt talat inte vad som händer på Mastro's men tjänsten har gått ner för en restaurangs kaliber att det definitivt är två strejker och du är ute länge i min bok!

Återvände till Mastros för att ta in en klient för sin första måltid där. Vi fick stor service med hänsyn till vårt affärssyfte. Mat var topptur och visade vår kund att vi trodde att de borde ha det bästa.
