This is a tiny jazz club. The space was heavily limited inside. Overall, the service was adequate and the quality of the cocktail was better than expected. However, the menu options were limited.

Most importantly, the quality of the performance deviated a bit from expectations. Maybe it was specifically the band that was performing the night of, but it was unfortunately the unsatisfying part of the night.

Nice little basement jazz bar with some great acts. It has tables next to the music if you are going there really to enjoy the music and have a drink, but it also has tables away from the music, closer to the bar if you decide you want a nice little romantic vibe with music in a darker setting - great for a date. It has a pretty basic drink selection, which I’m fine with as I am a simple man. I would recommend it for those who enjoy just sitting and listening to the music without having a ton of conversation or for those who like having music in the place but want some cozy and romantic vibes and who don’t mind the music. be cautious of talking too loud as you do not wish to to disturb those listening to the music!

Really enjoyed catching Melissa Stylianou Quartet last night at Mezzrow. Great musicians, awesome classic cocktails, and everyone is super nice and accommodating.
It’s a very small intimate place, so make sure to get there early to snag a seat, and advanced tickets are advised. That said, the ambiance is chic yet very welcoming.

My only one commentary is less reflective of Mezzrow and more reflective of the decency of humanity. You’re told when you sit down that the front area is reserved for listening not yapping. If you’re looking for the kind of performance you can talk through, this isn’t it. You WILL annoy people and you WILL get addressed and reprimanded by the staff (for good reason). So please, be a thoughtful  person and respect the music and those around you, and you’ll have a great time!

The cocktails were delicious with a nice kick to them, and the menu leans toward the classics—perfect for a relaxed night out. This will definitely be my go-to spot whenever I’m in NYC.
